For some reason this song reminds me more of growing up in the 80s than any other song. Which is odd since I never owned this album (I had Reach the Beach though). And I don't think it was even something I listened to a lot. But I keep coming back to this song.

Easily my favorite Fixx song. Saw them live way back when & it was a really good show. What a classic song, yet whenever I see anything on the band if this song is mentioned at all it's as an afterthought! Must be in the minority, but while I dug most of their music, this song is just one of those hypnotic tunes that caught me from the 1st listen & still owns me!

Maybe so, but i grew up with WLIR a radio station on Long Island and some of the early alternative music groups that they played were the fixx, clash, alted images, haircut 100, trans x, duran, pys. furs, talk, talk.
