  • PUNK IS NOT DEAD, TRY 'BOOM BOOM KID', watch?v=yfvkCbuFye8

  • rock is dead , blues is dead , punk is dead , feeling is dead , freedom was never alive and people are nothing else as dead bodys !!!!!!!!

  • The Doors was a dynamic band! Listen, I'm not sayin' others wasn't, but their success and progression was the result of it's quite uniqe ensamble...

  • ROCK N'ROLL IS ALIVE!! (FOREVER FOREVER).

  • Plz bring rock back plz

  • there are bits of guitar from Roadhouse Blues in this song

  • Los vengo escuchando desde que tenia 6 años, ý asta la fecha creci con la influencia de The Doors....a mi padre le gustaban las rolas de The doors....

  • I just love those guys!

  • AWSOME SONG

  • What Ray is playing sounds exactly like the piano setting on a mellotron.

  • Amazing band - each one of them was truly outstanding.

  • Jim morrison is a fortune teller!

  • we can bring it back

  • Jesus christ this song sounds good when your a little baked

  • I've been a Door's fan since before you were born, but I have to say--this really sucks!

  • Who the fuck is the disliker?

  • No dejemos que muera esta musica magica y misteriosa. Mejor escuchemosla hasta que mueramos nosotros! :)

  • There is so many songs by them i've never heard i know what i'm doing the rest of the night.

  • where is Jim?

  • PURA PROFECIA QUE HACE RATO SE CUMPLIO: EL ROCK MURIO CUANDO MURIO EL REY DEL ROCK JA !!

  • Full Circle and Other Voices are better than this...

  • his predictions are true..rock is dead

  • Then his closing line is: "I doubt if anybody’ll ever hear it."

  • JM mentions this piece in an interview from 1969 with Jerry Hopkins: "We needed another song for this album. We were racking our brains trying to think what song.We were in the studio, and so we started throwing out all these old songs. Blues trips. Rock classics. Finally we just started playing and we played for about an hour, and we went through the whole history of rock music—starting with blues, going through rock & roll, surf music, Latin, the whole thing. I call it 'Rock is Dead.' "

  • I don't think it's about trying to understand Jim and his meaning behind what he wrote, I think it's more what it makes you feel, what it makes you think. Getting where someone is coming from is the first half while you gotta bring the equation home yourself...

    Nice song

  • Rock is only dead till you come back JIM

  • No Keyboards, No Ray.

  • @adamjg4 there is ray... and playing keyboard, but instead using the organ voice he uses a kind of distorted honky-tonk if you listen carefully

  • @adamjg4 you can hear the solo at 5:30

  • jims voice is amazing in this song ian astbury is lame

  • @funnybastard1 Yeah for real. I can sing Doors song better than him.

  • @MeanObiwan than who?

  • @funnybastard1 Ian Astbury. I think anyone could though.

  • for those who do not know. Kurt Cobain was a big fan of Jim Morrison ... who knows from there to mount the nirnana ... who knows!

  • @MyMiguelmendes for those who do not know. Jim Morrison was not the doors, robby krieger, ray manzerak, jim morrison and john densmore were the doors

  • @Hendrix1820 I totally agree with you my friend! the crystal ship and its commander ... mr jim morrison!

  • :)

  • Havent heard this before

    Fucking love the doors )

  • Rock actually died September 24, 1991

  • @SirGarforth rock was reborn that day

  • @samruiz0000 More like aborted.

  • @SirGarforth lack of diversity i assume

  • @SirGarforth why september 24 1991 ?

  • @funnybastard1 Because that's when Nirvana's "Nevermind" was released.

  • @SirGarforth Nirvana killed rock with Nevermind?

  • @icabodcranium Yes they did.

  • @SirGarforth Actually they stole it back from a bunch of hair bands that liked to wear lip stick and dress in drag! Oh yes and they all said whooo yahhhhh in at least half their songs!

  • @SirGarforth Rock is not dead yet, it will be when AC/DC will stop playing :D Then rock will be dead for couple of years and then it will ressurect and live on :D

  • Rock lives on beneath da waves

  • EDITED DEAD WHY THE FUCK THIS IS GOOD RAW AND LIVE IT'S A JAM

  • ''Rock is dead Rock is dead must be something else instead...'' (?) Trying to understand more Jim is pretty much like solving a puzzle, the pieces are spread all over... So here is a verse from The Soft Parade, also written in 1969: ''...Welcome to the Soft Parade All our lives we sweat and save Building for a shallow grave Must be something else we say Somehow to defend this place Everything must be this way Everything must be this way...''

  • @Pmitsou123 money didn't buy morrison happiness. why was he so unhappy. i suspect he was self-medicating b/c of maybe a dsyfunctinoal family life (being an army or navy brat and having a strict father).

morrison was extremely smart, but he had problems. people will never know what they were exactly. and that's why a lot of people are still attracted to him. why would someone with all that money and girls and being a rock star essentially drink himself to death? it's an ever-ending mystery...

  • @Pmitsou123 take some drugs and you`ll understand every single phrase

  • @Pmitsou123 and the monk bought lunch

  • @Pmitsou123 Jim Morrison did not write The Soft Parade album.

  • @ConnecticutSavvy The Soft Parade ( song ) was written by Jim .So was Shaman's Blues and a couple of others from that album/

  • this is very good quality, where did you get this from?

  • @orbital92hotmail From "Without A Safety Net" Album, the song was recorded at Elektra Studios, Los Angeles, CA, Feb. 25, 1969.

  • @AndyGMusic this is brilliant, thanks

  • Jim you are thee best!!! R I P

  • It's a mystery to me how parents could be so cold, repressive, and demanding of such an intelligent and handsome son.

  • @brengf It is only a mystery to those that do not understand those times. The old days might seem like easier times. They were only easy to a degree. Parents were tough on their kids for a reason. Most parents in that era had parents that were tough on them too. Parents have been tough on their children so they grow up to be good citizens and have a real life. Not a life of drugs and living on the streets.

  • Rock is Dead.

  • WTF they have like six more minutes of jamming afterwards and i cant find it anywhere

  • @1991twinkie I uploaded the second part of the jam for you check out my channel
