  • i had one of these last january. So painful and you dont even realise you have it untill your in so much pain. was being sick for months but didnt realise what was wrong with me. However i think mine was a bit bigger than this!

  • how much did that cyst weigh? Wow

  • i had the exact same thing happen to me...same size and everything!

  • omg! that looks like... holy crap an alien thing..

  • omg!! how on earth could she let it get this bad!? seriously.

  • Comment removed

  • OMG... that is rediculous... how did it get that far? I would be soooo pissed, I have PCOS and regularly have ovarian cysts and there's just no way my doctor would let something like that happen to me.... crazy.... poor girl.

  • Wow... Are you okay? I hope that didn't hurt you much as it hurt me to watch. It looked like a giant tumor had grown inside you. I'm sorry for that. And you said it crushed some of your organs? I'm sorry and hope your okay.

  • Wow.... Did that hurt? It looked like It really did. I hope

  • Why is it SO noisey? Sounds like a coffee shop or cafe. Seems it would be bothersome to the patient and staff attending to her.

  • what the hell is inside that thing?

  • That cyst look more the size of a watermelon.....

  • Good grief, send that thing over to the NCAA tournament. Ye gods and little fishhooks.

  • looks ike a brain

  • nothin but net!

  • continued from my last comment

and i may hve to have another op tomorrow to put stents in my kidneys due to them being so enlarged i am having trouble passing urine

  • i had a large cyst removed on wednesday just gone. it measured 19cm x 27 and had a circumference of 323 cm it was bigger then a football

it has been the most scary week ever to only come into hospital for a wee infection then to be told you have a huge lump growing inside you was extremley scary .... i have to wait 2 weeks to find out if it is benign or malignant so i am praying obviously

it has crushed all my major organs

  • I was wondering if you know the dimensions of the cyst. I am having surgery in two weeks to get mine removed and I was hoping to compare the dimensions my doctor gave me after a CT scan.

Also how was the recovery period? I am very nervous about the whole thing.

    Thank you.

  • Just a bit more information about this type of operation for those of you who don't understand it.

I had a Cystadenoma, larger than the one shown. Most of these are benign, though some can be malignant and some borderline. Mine was borderline with rare cells. This is an ovarian cyst, and can grow to quite a size. They often grow to such a large size because the symptoms one gets are often misdiagnosed.

Mine was squashing all my major organs and extremely uncomfortable.

  • I'm not sure what I had. The surgery was unplanned and very sudden because I did not know I had a cyst until I had a scan the same day of the surgery. Yes, it was benign.

  • O....M...G...THIS LOOK LIKE SAW and i feel sry for u guy and i'm 13 and i love blood butt i'm an vampier for really

  • I had an ovarian cyst removed in January.

  • Did you have what is called a "Mature Ovarian Teratoma"? Forgive me for asking but my daughter had one removed in May. Tomorrow we do the 6 month scan. I am really praying that nothing will be found. Was yours benign?

  • omg thank god i just have the cyst in my wrist...i feel sorry for the woman....:(

  • Congratulations its a boy :D

  • Lmfao!

  • This more look like a fabroid

  • holy cow that is huge! our foreign exchange student had an ovarian cyst while she was with us the size of a watermelon!

  • I read on internet that vitamin D has positive effect on ovavarian cyst control. Expose yourself to morning sunlight everyday for atleast 10 minutes. This might help.

  • vitamin d does absoultly nothing!!!. im 18 and i have constant cysts and multiple ones at the same time and ive been taking 1200mg of vitamin d/calcium everyday for 3 years and trust me it does not work

  • @ donnad23 "ive been taking 1200mg of vitamin d/calcium everyday for 3 years..."

Hey, first I think you meant 1200IU not mg. I've never seen D sold in mg.

Second, in midday summer sun over about 1/2 hour, a typical Caucasian produces about 10,000 to 15,000IU of D3, assuming decent skin exposure. So, your taking 1,200 is way lower than nature intended.

I've been taking 10,000IU D3 for about 6 months & my own cyst has shrunk and never grown the whole time.

    Good luck!

  • the person before me who replied to you is right

my sister had a 5 pound ovarian cyst and shes always out in the sun

so thats complete and utter bull

  • Wow!!!!!!

  • I had a cyst removed (11 cm) on June 15 and unfortunately it had damaged my ovary so they had to remove that as well. I am feeling almost 100% now but I am still taking it easy. Goodluck to those who are going to have this procedure done.

  • Was it benign? I pray that it was.

  • Yes it was, thank God. It was caused by endometriosis.

Oh the things women go though :s

  • Praise God. My 9 year old daughter was diagnosed with a mature ovarian teratoma. The Doctor said that it was benign. However tomorrow we go for the 6 month CT scan. I pray everything is well. Thank you for sharing your story.

  • My sisters having this done tomorrow

  • i am waiting for my cyst to be removed but can a cyst grow this BIG its a great shock for me

  • woah 0.o

  • I can't begin to imagine how much pain that person was in, and how much better she must feel now. I had one that was 14 cm (removed) and now one that is 10 cm (to be removed soon, I hope) and that is enough pain for one lifetime. But a basketball? Yikes!

  • Was yours what they call an ovarian teratoma? My daughter had a mature teratoma removed 6 months ago. We are now getting a CT scan done. I pray everything is ok.

  • wtf?

  • is that on a human body???

if so, why the fuck did they wait that fuckin long, till it became huge as a fuckin bowling ball...the big ones?!?!?!

  • Wow, that thing is HUGE. I currently have a complex cyst in my left ovary. Complex meaning its like a cluster of three or four about 9cm altogether. I'm getting a laparascopy soon but hope they leave my ovary intact. I'm terrified y'all

  • i just has this surgery today the pain is so bad

  • Was it what they call an "Ovarian Teratoma"? I hope it was benign.

  • HOW did the woman not know she had an ovarian cyst until it grew that big?

Did she think she was pregnant or something?

And how ome they didn't just suction the pus and then take out the deflated cyst instead of making such a big incision?

  • i had one of these last christmas - not this big though! it burst and i almost bled to death before the doctors knew what is was!

  • what happens when a cys burst?

so how did they take it out? suctioned the pus and then take out the deflated cyst?

  • yes, basically. But the cyst i had was full of blood not pus - they sucked all the blood up and jst removed the cyst skin. they used pinhole surgury with mine so the scar wasnt as big.. just 4 small circles.

  • pinhole surgery meaning laprascopic surgery?

i wonder why other cyst removal videos here always have a big incision instead of deflating the cyst instead.

  • yes, laprascopic surgery is a new method they are using for ovarian cysts thats probably why most of the video's shown on youtube will have been using the old method - the big incision. im so glad i had my cyst recently rather than a few years ago otherwise i would have had a huge scar.

  • Was it benign? I hope so.

  • OMG, that girl must have been in so much pain. I have a cyst on my right ovary the size of a baseball, and am having it removed march 17th, i am in alot of pain with my cyst i cant even imagine how much pain she would be in My goodness!!

  • Did you have what was a teratoma? Was it benign? I hope so. My daughter had a Mature teratoma removed in May. Tomorrow we will be going for the 6th month CT to make sure everything is ok. I pray everything is well. Do we have anything to worry about?

  • Unfortunately, I don't know anything about teratoma's Trini, so I wouldn't want to comment. I do hope everything goes well for your daughter.

  • It was Benign thank goodness, I have what is called Polycystic ovarian disese, plus endrometrosis, that cause me to get huge cysts all the time then they rupture , i've had 3 surgeries so far. Since march they all came back, 2 ruptured, I cant howeverh ave any more sugeries. However the dr has a treatment for me to help me ovulate properly, injections to help me not get those painful cysts,& maybe get pregnant, ive been tryin for over 2 yrs.I hope that your checkup goes ok, and i will pray for u

  • are you sure that is just a cyst?

  • They would know if its a tumor

  • yep... the doctors, who said the vid was posted in youtube by the docs? maybe is just someone who found the vid and posted it with the wrong title

  • how the hell av the doctors let this cyst get so big? this lady must have been in agony before it was discovered .

  • That's a Threemur

  • WTF MAN!!! thats sick! puke! it looks so painful!

  • I have a 9cm cyst atm, on my ovary. and I had another on my other ovary but that one burst, we never knew how big that one was ? they are extremely painful though! I might be having mine taken out, but I was told it isn't 'big enough' yet to cause concern '-_-

  • err you might want to re talk that with your doctor.. if it gets over 6cm its a major health concern it has to be taken out immediately, or i think it can burst

  • Really? I was told it wasn't a big deal and they'd only take it out if worst came to worst '-_-

  • yeahhh thats what my doctors told me when i had 2 cysts on my ovary

  • My freind has a growth unknown nature in her ovary. She told me last night that they want to remove both ovaries is this neccessary?

    What are the alternatives?

  • well if they remove both ovaries shes not gonna be able to have a baby, however they should really try to figure out what the growth is before they think about removing her ovaries, just in case it can be cured.

  • i have also cyst..5.4cm big..could be mine ovary remove or they remove only my cyst? pls answer wanna know..i never have baby yet..i wish to have 1 or 2 kids very soon..im getting older..lol

  • lol they'll remove only your cyst not ur entire ovary

  • The only time an ovary is removed, along with the cyst, is when the cyst ruptures or there is torsion.

  • Im glad mine didnt get that big glad they removed it today instead of next week It would have been that big 0___o poor woman

  • Was your begnign? Was it what they call a "Cystic Teratoma?"

  • This poor woman has to feel TONS better getting this monster cyst out!

  • how are they supposed to dispose of it?

  • I wonder if this chick thought she was pregnant :O

  • Most people do or they think they r just getting fat my doctor said

  • Mine wasn't as big as the woman's cyst in the video, but I thought I was getting fat. I had no idea it was a cyst until my doctor found it.

  • What is that Big thing if that is the cyst then ew????? Im sick the doctors think i have that ew.

  • thats is a every big cyst. cyst can range from penny sized to that sized. so, depending on the size depeneds on the way it will be taken out. i had a Ovarian Cyst not to long ago that was a bity bigger than a golf ball and at removd by laparoscopy. it was an one day deal. i hope you get better thou.

  • Was your tumor benign? Was it waht they call a Mature ovarian teratoma?

  • it was. I had Cystadenomas (siss-tahd-uh-NOH-muhs). These cysts form from cells on the outer surface of the ovary. They are often filled with a watery fluid or thick, sticky gel. They can become large and cause pain.

  • Hi,

My little 6 year old brother got one removed on his back, but it was more like the size of a half dollar. He just got 5 stitches taken out a week ago. He didn't have to be put to sleep though, it wasn't every serious. He's glad he got it over with though.

My mom is getting sugery on her overy because she has a csyt just bigger that the bottom of a soda can. She is one of those people who get freaked out over blood and such. Wish her luck!

And good job, must of taken a lot of couage!

  • What would happen if they accidently dropped it on the floor? Would it explode like a water balloon?

  • if it was me, after the surgery i would have grabbed a desert eagle and shot the sun of a cyst lolz

  • here's a great article how to eliminate ovarian cysts:

    ezinearticles com/?Ovarian-Cyst-Symptoms-Or-How-to-Eliminate-Ovarian-Cysts&id=1281809

  • Are all cyst removed this way? I thought some people have it removed by having it drained? I have a small one to me taken out soon, and I'm scared.

  • You'll be ok sweetie. This is routine.

  • my mother had this kind of cyst ...she sufferd a surgery 2 months ago...she recoverd pretty fast and now she's fine! don't be scared! ( if you didn't removed the cyst yet) sorry for my bad english

  • Thanks. I had mine removed 4 months ago and I am doing well.

  • does it hurt?. i am going to be operated on june15 and i am scare do you feel it when you are at sleep? need to know how does a person feel going under and been operated like that. i hate pain and i care of dieying while i am been operated so if any one had this operation please let me know how it felt

  • i had the same problem.

i looked pregnant, i thought i was just getting fat, and they had to drain 2 leters out of me before they could take mine out. mine was the size of a 8 month old baby.

i had a c-section basically, and my left ovary was taken out with it b/c the tumor was so large.

  • Was it benign? I pray that it was.

  • hi i had a cyst the size of a gala melon on my left overy and had it removed along side my tube and had a child after

  • i have 1 on each ovary. one is 4cm the other is 6cm... someone tell me what i have to do n if i still can have children?

  • hi i had a cyst the size of a gala melon on my left overy and had it removed along side my tube and had a child after

  • There is a certain size that a cyst has to be (in most cases) for doctors to decide to have it removed. My doc said removal of a cyst will not influence my chances of having kids.

  • OMFG. that is the nastyest thing i have ever seen!!!

  • Am recovering from having a 30cm (beachball size)ovarian cyst removed weighing 20lbs, full hysterectomy, and omentectomy. Cyst borderline, but all removed successfully, and as omentum and lymphnodes were clear, I shall have no more treatment, except checkups.

I was being treated for 2 yrs for Irritable Bowl Syndrome, until I got to where I looked 9 months pregnant, breathless, and in great discomfort, and saw a different doctor who sent me for a ultra sound. I am happy to answer questions.

  • Hi,

I am going in next week for the removal of one the size of an orange on my right ovary. I know thats nothing compared to what you went through but still scary, I'm a big scaredy cat with surgeries :) Do the give you a big needle in the back? are you partially awake? How did you feel the first day after?

    Wish me luck :)

  • I did have epidural in the back, but was under when inserted, and felt nothing. Also had general anaesthetic. The epidural is mainly for pain relief after the op. I felt good when I came out of theatre, no pain, my legs were a little numb from epidural, but that soon went. If you have an oxygen mask on take big deep breaths, it helps get rid of the anaesthetic and worked really well.I am 8 wks post op, and feel great, trust me. But it takes time. There will be ups and downs.Good Luck

  • My daughter had an ovarian teratoma removed from one of her ovaries last May. Our surgeon told us it was a "Mature Teratoma". Do we have anything to worry about? Tomorrow we will be going for the 6th mon CT scan. I pray they do not find anything. Please help.

  • It's not a tumah.

  • what did you do with the cyst after removing it?

  • The hostpital throws it away in a bio chenical bag thing..

  • i'd go bolwing with that shit

  • i wonder how she looked like before and after surgery. i wish her well

  • I'd take it home as a souvenier....or maybe even see if it'll work for the guiness book of world records? XD

    My question is...where the hell was this cyst..I mean, it had to be somewhere where this guy didn't notice he had a giant ball sticking on him o-o;

  • In general, cyst this big doesn't materialize overnight. It's either the patient doesn't really care about the growing cyst or doesn't have the money to fix it. When it gets this big, there are people who will help out financially to get it removed. Lastly, this guy on the video happen to be a gal.

  • Didn't know guys had ovarys

  • That thing is massive

  • glad my cyst was no where as large as that

  • WTf.....

  • Oh my gosh!!!
