  • This is what happens when you run in a developing country though Athens was the place that started this Marathon event.

Five hundred years ago he might even be knocked down by a horse carriage.

  • What kind of marathon course has an ongoing tram on it? Stupid French!

  • I can't understand what the announcer is saying. Why don't they speak English so everybody can understand properly?

  • @mpchola you must be a troll, really.

  • ChristianStier your racist

  • Bammm hit the nigga on the floor !

  • he had to turn in this point and the road was closed, he pass by the guards...this guy had callapsed some meters before and he was comfused, is not athens false...

  • Who in the Hell let a friggin tram on the track? What a bunch of dumbasses.

  • Is that what they call hitting the wall?

  • @spithadi no i dont think it counts if the wall hits him! lmaoo

  • I just don't see how you can be so "focused" to not see a fucking train coming at you.

  • HAHAHAHAHA

  • press 5

  • the white runners were so happy when that happened

  • @kmbl654 Batards (like you) are so happy when any bullshit happens!

  • There's one thing being in the zone, there's another running into a train...

  • Why would you have a marathon come through such a stupid route anyway?

  • @mobytoss every big city marathon comes through and over some of these tracks, i just don't understand why the tram was even in service at that point!

  • hahahahahahahahahaha

  • sorry, but everyone i saying all this stuff about how he was "in the zone, focused etc" but i live in athens and those trams can be heard from a distance away. snd the barriers for the tram were closing. sorry but could he not understand that with barriers coming down in front of a railway line, dinging noise, the noise of a tram and a tram 10m or so in front of him, couldnt he work it out for himself? i mean jesus

  • @ChRIs23696

he was in a race moron! there shouldnt even be a trolly going over the track at that time.

you don't stop a formula one race in monaco either because someone needs to cross the friggin road do ya'?

  • when running a marathon or any long distances, 99% of your concentration is on putting one foot in front of the other and the last 1% is being on the right path. you're always assume that path is clear so don't spend any concentration on watching for incomming traffics.

how they managed to organized a marathon with active traffic rushing through the paths and hitting runners?

  • WA WA WA WAAA OH NOOOOOOO

  • Funniest thing ive seen all day

  • @KeithyMac

I will be laughing when this happens to you.

  • WTF

  • This video made me Laugh......but, thats what happens when ur to focused on running to the KFC

  • @Asylum609

whoaaaa! thats rac... oh yeah, we are on youtube.

  • Thats just messed up !

  • A marathon race is a mental struggle, especially the last 1/4 of it, your mind would have to focus on keep your body going, and quite often detach from anything else.

    -- An occasional marathon runner.

  • The whole story is that he was in shock from deshydratation or hypoglycemia a few moments before and lost consciousness. After 5 minutes unconscious, he stood up and kept on running.

Obviously he was highly disoriented and they should not have let him continue.

  • That's probably not it. When you are running like that in competition mode, your mind becomes very focused and it's as if the world falls away behind you. I suspect you haven't competed before because if you have, you'll know the kind of pinpointed focus I'm talking about.

  • Dude I'm a runner too and I've never been that focused, how can you expect me to believe that a man running a marathon would be focused enough to know where he's going but not notice a huge fucking train that's about to run him over?

  • I don't know how focused of a runner you are. I can't tell. I certainly know that for myself as a once competitive runner, that I have also been in situations where the world falls behind me and I'm only noticing what's very immediately ahead. It's not all too hard at such levels. Plus, there are moments when struggling to push forward we are not noticing the further surroundings. It really is simple. If you haven't experienced it, then I don't know why.

  • @minnesotabasketball

he could have been dehydrated and delerious, bbut still running.

  • @DOOMcal1ber Yeah that's true, didn't think of that.

  • is he blind?

  • is he ok?

  • hahahaha

  • what tv channel is this?

  • Aow !

    Hope he'll be OK !

  • in which country happend that?

    i never will go there!

    dummest Host´s ever on Platet

    fuckers

  • thats fuckin hilarious man. how didnt he know that was comin?

  • how in the hell do you not see that big ass thing in front of you, wow

  • OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • Host (Athens) of the event should have protected the runners. Runners must concentrate and stay focus, not look out for incoming cars and trolleys. This accident could have been fatal. Such an event to a runner can easily become a mental career ender. Feel sorry for the guy.

  • if you watch carefully you will see the runner went through some metal barriers.

  • Sounds right on to me miller.

  • @millerpawn Only an American would be an apologist for someone running head-on into a moving trolley (tram). Runners need to concentrate and focus all right... ON THEIR SURROUNDINGS! The man had to be a fool to do what he did; indeed yes, he could have been seriously injured or killed. Trolleys are a species of train, they can't manoeuvre or stop fast; stay clear of them and you won't get hit.

  • @madmotorman You obviously have never been in the zone. A true competative runner doesn't concentrate on anything other than running and their body. Their not site seeing, checking out chicks, or wondering if the Raiders are gonna make it to the SuperBowl. I believe that an overall consensus would agree with me. Can I get some thumbs up or down peoples? Thanks.

  • @millerpawn

Thumbs down for spelling competitive as competative.

  • @SeventhSun Thumbs down for me, but middle finger up for you. Do you know how long you will be on this site correcting spelling errors. I opalogize four tha spelling airors. Thought I would give you a few more things to correct. I don't mind being corrected, but REALLY?

  • @madmotorman it's a freaking MARATHON

HUNDREDS of PEOPLE will be running that route, why was there even a trolly service at that point! i know for a fact that a big part of amsterdams service is re-routed during big sport events that take place in the city. the runner never Expected to encounter a trolly because they never do when in competition.

  • @madmotorman I just wanted to state a fact: normally - if it´s a competitive race - the track is only open to competitors...

That´s not the race across america...

  • @madmotorman in what way is your trash talk on americans relevant at all to this? Likewise, a true competitive runner would only be focused on his pace, and body. There is no reason why he would have to focus on his surroundings since it is the host of the race that is supposed to ensure the safety of the runners. based off your comment I HIGHLY doubt you have ever run a marathon at a fast pace.

  • he wasnt even paying attention that sucks did he die not kidding??

  • wow that nigga got KTFO

  • omg WOW. That rlly sux but honestly he like just ran into it!

  • I know a guy who got hit by a tram. It happens.

  • holy shit

  • I hope he lived.

    thats some serious determination

  • he must of been really determined

  • I shouldn't be laughing but... LMAO! HOW the fuck could he miss that big shit?!

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • I'm going to hell, but I saw the title for this video and fucking lol'd.

Then I watched the video and lol'd harder.

  • lol

  • Omg. xD That's horrible but I LOLed so hard.

  • hows the tram is it still working hehe

  • hahahaha he should learn to watch where he is going

  • what a fucking dick

  • oh man, that's horrible....when you get "in the zone" nothing else matters! Hope he's ok!!!

  • That should never happen, the lesion, if not killl him, might left him very damaged. That's not good at all.

  • Train-1, runner-0!

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHAhAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAQHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHASHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHZHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHASHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH1234567890-[\]HAHAHAHABHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHPENISPENISHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHASS!

  • thats just because you cant run worhtless.

  • oh-Oh-OH-OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • i hate when that happens !

  • WAAAH WAAH!

  • OOOOooooo o____O

  • lolol im sorry but how could you do that?

  • ANYONE who has ever run a marathon know that even by around halfway (13 miles) you get really tired and your mind begins to drift around

  • oops!

  • ouch

  • The Marathon organisers need to pull up their socks and ensure better traffic management plans are in place. Such incidents should not be condoned and the responsible sport authority should look into it with a view towards not only resolving the matter but also ensuring it does recur.

  • he was in the zone

  • in the wrong zone lol

  • umm, what was he thinking... whats this large metal object coming towards me... im from Kenya so i dont know what it is... ill just shake hands with the thing... LMFAO... *Thud*

  • Yeah that's why I don't give money to Kenyan charities and such. They'd probably buy millions of pounds worth of food and then realise it needs to be microwaved or something.

  • Ha ha ha ha... microwaved... how would they realize they think a shirt is like gods gift to man..... realise is a word they dont concept.

  • your amazing, and 'leader of the free world?' just what are you smoking, there is no such thing as free, unless we talk about hatred... oh and your sarcasim is muchly apreciated... like that tram knew to swerve, the man was tired... i found it funny and so should you unless you are filled with hatred

  • I laughed my ass of and i'm not filled with hatred. You ask me if i've been smoking? I'll ask you if you we're born like this or did someone hit you on the head? Nothing you say makes sense and from someone from australia you're english is pretty fucked up. Go to school and stay of the crack, your brain barely functions sober.

  • Nice one m8, that was so hurtful,

    1) I am in school...

    2) I've never taken drugs... u tool!

    3) dont pay out on phyicaly or mentaly chalanged people you tard! if you wanted to insult me do it right dont use others as examples, next time you go to type think before you do as your stupidity affects the % of people out there that try be respectful!

  • fuck man, learn to type or don't type at all since i can't understand shit you're saying...but i shouldn't make fun of people that are mentally challenged (yes two l's idiot)? I didn't make fun of them but you should really stop making fun of people in third world countries, dickhead.

  • haha, they don't have trams in Kenya

  • ffwc man, ydy hwn yn ddall??

  • Bearing in mind that he had passed out for 7minutes earlier and that it took so long for an ambulance to arrive, he regained consciouness and started running again. This then happened... Well done to the Athens organisers! Funny how it was never in the media!

  • Well, it would have helped if he hadn't missed the turnoff into the stadium.

The tram wasn't moving that fast and he'd been largely hypoglycemic throughout the race. It's honestly not a surprise he ignored the tram's bell and ran right into it. If you note the rate of deceleration, you can see that it stopped less than half a meter from collision point.

10km/h tops, and he could have avoided it if he wasn't hallucinating out of his head due to low blood sugar. Who's to blame?

  • It wasn't his fault, the tram shouldn't have been running. Although funny, that really kinda sucks lollll.

  • omg is he ok now!?

  • real smart making the course go through tracks.....

  • driver had money on the race..

  • bad organization, poor man.

  • Maybe they told the tram driver to go ahead, because it would be a while before someone crosses.

  • I bet he could kick your ass.

  • I bet you can kiss HIS Nancy.

  • Honestly, after running into a tram like that, I doubt he would be kicking any ass. He was probably eating oatmeal through a straw after that.

  • Wonder how good the oatmeal was?

  • I hear it was vream of wheat by Uncles Ben's. DEEE licious I reckon.

  • how the fuck can you let the trams run when there a marathon goin on...god damn when you are running such a long distance all you can think about is running and not thinking about being hit by a fuckin tram

  • How does that happen? Don't they stop the tram service? Morons

  • oh god how terrible

  • did she die

  • rofl

how cud u not see that

  • K.O.

  • A: I do believe he's blind (or maybe badly dehydrated; when that happens, you can feel your heart beat very thoroughly and your vision hazes as you focus)

B: Congrats on the beautiful woman, svenoftwo; now you see why fitness pays off. ;J

C: Seriously, Stewart, lay off already. Thank you for invoking tragedies in our sport to prove a really, really moronic point. Everyone always loves that kind of thing.

  • anonymous10567 > "Seriously, Stewart, lay off already."

If you look back, you'll notice "svenoftwo" started this by commenting about me personally. My only prior comment was about specific joggers in my neighberhood who pose a nuisance to both pedestrians and traffic.

He evidently took that personally, first attacking me and then defending himself by trying to convince me how great his life is. Unlike him, I have no deep-rooted need for that since my life truly is just fine.

  • I guess he didn't see that one comin! Sorry, I know thats lame and mean. Poor dude.

  • Some people on here need to really grow up...or grow a dick. poor bloke could have broke his neck...I bet you'd not like it...bunch of cunt faced pussies...

  • Owned.

  • hahahahahahah stupid bitch! i can't belive how stupid some people are

  • dahahahaha pwned watch where ur going BIATCH

  • auch, that must be hurt. but its kinda funny u know.

  • I know its wrong to laugh at people getting hurt, but, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!

  • Only 300meters left...BOOM...hit by a train...What the hell?

  • trains cant stop that fast. it takes about 50 feet to stopat that speed

  • its a tram

  • Pretty funny, actually. My deep-rooted id would like to see that happen to a few joggers in my neighborhood who run oblivious to anything (cars, pedestrians, etc) around them.

  • i bet your fat lol

  • svenoftwo > "i bet your fat lol"

LOL. Bet you're a self-obsessed fanatic ashamed enough by what you see in the mirror to spend hours jogging each day in an effort to burn off an extra pound or two in the vain hope that will make you look better.

  • yep...you're fat! lol

No, not self-obsessed, just very happy and very fit and have a beautiful sexy girlfriend...have a nice life fat-so! ;)

  • With your rudeness, svenoftwo, I doubt you have a girlfriend, much less an attractive one. But, if you do, you won't for very long if she has any common sense. Or did you find yourself one of those blonds too dumb to see you for what you are? A rhetorical question since I have no desire to wait around for an answer. By the way, like me, do try to outlive Brian Maxwell (ranked #3 marathon runner by Track & Field) and Jim Fixx (author "The Complete Book of Running"). So few of your ilk do.

  • Bitterness and envy - not nice traits...Why so hostile against runners? lol - Fat and insecure LOL Bye mate...have a nice life. BTW - Fixx outlived all his family members by 12 years due to his training. I feel great, have a wonderful life, am fit, well off and happy...if you don't like that fatty- you deal with it! Bye fat man. Have a nice fat life. Reply all you want & insult me...i like it you loser. Sorry, fat loser. ;)

  • svenoftwo > "Why so hostile against runners?"

I'm not hostile towards runners, just you personally. And that only because you started it with your rude comments towards me. As long as you continue in that manner, I'll respond in kind.

Again, still bet you're a self-obsessed neurotic ashamed enough by what you see in the mirror to spend hours jogging each day in an effort to burn off an extra pound or two in the vain hope that will make you look better.

  • YOUR MY KIND OF PERSON

    dont give up.

  • You clearly have issues. You may be a fit and you may have a sexy girlfriend, but you are clearly not happy. If you were, you wouldn't feel the need to say hurtful things. Something is wrong with you.

  • The politics of envy...

  • i guess he did'nt win the race

  • hahahahahah thats hilarious. I guess ur right though. lol (response for tezmt)

  • dude, it's a sanctioned race. They should have closed the course off

  • hahahahahahah silly jiggaboo

  • my guess he was running with his eyes closed...some runners close their eyes and concentrate on movement and form. Maybe he was comfortable enough to close his eyes for a long period of time.

Another possibility was there were many spectators to his left that he didn't see the tram coming.

  • No he was juct black.

  • oops just

  • owned

  • OOH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

    Hahahahahaa

somebody should put that shit in slow-mo...

    haahaha

  • he's black and thought he was stronger than the tram. A fitting song for him would be I fought the tram and the tram won. I fought the tram and the tram won.

  • LOL!

    i love that song

bobby fuller 4-i fought the law

    CHECK IT OUT PEOPLE

  • look both way before crossing the rail road and the worst part is he didnt see this tram coming he must of been running with his eye close and NO ONE TOLD HIM A TRAM IS COMING

  • oh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON! gets me every time

  • when one falls, the right response is "is he okie?" and not "what a dumb ass."

  • blahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblah

    OH NOOO!!!!!1

    Gotta love the French. :3

  • This is one dumbass retard. That is why they say stop look and listen it should work for all in this world

  • wait why didnt he just go around the train did he not see it or something?

  • Watch it!

    Giant train comin' at cha!

  • looks like a well organised event, hope e was ok.

  • and i thought a kenyan racer was unstoppable :p

  • haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaa haaa.that is the funniest thing i have watched for months.would of loved to have been there.how dumb.

  • idiot

  • Nothing can stop you when you're in the zone.

  • no your right, a tram could just bounce of your face

  • Ouch!

  • xaxaxa! lol!

  • how could he not see it? it was comin pretty much straight at him LOL

  • Oh no... That's awful.

  • why couldn't the train go faster :(

  • in his native land in kenya there are only lions and zebras so he only knows how to run away from animals because obviosly never seen a bus in his life.

  • i will kill you mother fucker al qaida man

  • hilarious

  • how come he had to be BLACK!!!!!

  • lol great.

  • *OWIES* That sux for him, but everyone has their moments of clumsiness.

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ahahhhahahahahahaha!

    That is priceless!

  • He was just closing his eyes thinking.."I am the best! I have totally won this race, and I could probably run straight through a trai--- WHAM!
