Matches like Mick Foley vs Edge, Foley vs Ric Flair and the amount of blood Cena lost at the opening episode in his first blood match with Kurt Angle plus the general use of profanity in promos counter the "PG" argument. Cena was hated at first for being too dominant in his feuds and some people had a problem with his wrestling abilities. The PG non-sense only came in 2009/2010.
