The flamethrower can be very effective but you cant go in a building and go random, you always have to keep the fire on the target.

I believe it shows where enemy artillery strikes are going to be placed. At least I think that's what it does. You'll notice a red dot on xcal's map whenever the enemy drops one.

Theory: when one gets a kill while a dog also gets a kill, that counts toward the killstreak bonuses
