  • OMG what an awesome tone!!!

  • @unstrung13 thanks...very rewarding to make, as not much work, but still sounded great!!

  • Great sound Be ......I must fit a piezo too!

  • @407bug cheers, yeah a piezo is useful, to get a different sound...and for the percussion : -)

  • Hi Your vidis are great fun ! I've done a few 3 string CBG now I want to do a 2 stiring bass and also a double neck with 2 stiring bass and 3 string not sure how that will work but what the hell

  • @Pluckyxo thanks...oooh I've had at the back of my mind for a while doing one like that. Yeah go for it!! Check out the Cigar Box Nation site if you haven't already. Lots of helpful people on there : -)

  • Well the mind boggles, not too long ago I would not of thought of as bed warmer becoming an insrtument, great idea and it has a great sound and a new life, hmmm the stories she will tell...at the moment I can only wonder about the things she has seen, but I digress that is a whole other story...thanks for posting this and keep it up I don't always comment but i do check 'em out....

  • @undeadtrev thanks for having a listen : -)..yeah it's hard sometimes to keep coming up with comments I find!

  • Epic!

  • @TK42138 thanks Andrew!

  • Sounds great - well done - I keep seeing those at boot sales but I'd have to add a fretboard, as I don't play slide much, which would probably mean changing the neck and that might defeat the object somewhat

  • @MrRandomWritings thanks, mmm yeah it would make it more work, but if you fancy a different sound it could be worth a try. There are some around that don't have handles (not sure how they used to pick them up?!

  • @bemuzic carfully I suspect!

  • @MrRandomWritings lol, yes quite!

  • I Love It !!! That thing sounds outstanding also... WoW !

Nice closeups of the whole thing, very simple but great results !

And it sounds just fine unplugged, nice sound. imho :-)

That brass one should have a nice bright sound being harder material.

There's a reason they make bells out of brass n' not copper. lol

Thanks for the inspiration Belinda, I needed a kick in the behind to get me back to work on the guitars after sloughin' through the holidays. Cheers !

  • @profwaldo thanks a lot prof!..yeah I think the brass one should be good : -) Glad to have given you a kick in the behind, now go and build something!!

  • @bemuzic Hey, I sense you enjoyed that a wee-bit too much. ;-)

  • really dig the tone on that lil guy . that is too cool , i have to make one !

  • @peteytwofinger cheers, yeah make one!

  • IM THE SECOND VIEWER! whoo! And love the video never seen that instrument before did you make it?

  • @deathslice60 Yes I made it..well not to much to really as you have the body and neck already done for you : -)

  • @bemuzic

Well its looks good! But it seems that you cant do chords like a guitar....? Because it so far away from the fretboard

  • @deathslice60 thanks.Yeah it's purely for slide as the action is VERY high...and the neck isn't flat!!

  • @bemuzic

I see......well im more into guitar kinda instruments but nice instrument you got!

  • @deathslice60 ha, yep it's a long way from a regular guitar, that's for sure!!

  • @bemuzic

LOL well it sounds good so thats what counts! But i be rubbish on it for sure!

  • @deathslice60 yeah it's the sound that counts. Well it'd be pretty strange to you if you're used to playing a"normal" guitar....but I like playing different things. A new instrument can often spark off a song : -)

  • @bemuzic

yes i agree, to be honest i wanted to try this "Stumstick" Out a D grand one for the lower tone, Might try that out :)

  • @deathslice60 yep, they're great fun. I have a cigar box strummer which is fretted like those : -)

  • @bemuzic

I see awesome, I may get one when i get a bit of money, When it comes after christmas you lose almost all your money LOL! :D

  • @deathslice60 yep quite!!

  • nice love this one

  • @1RAVENGANG52 cheers

  • I like it as well mate, your a clever old bugger,eh. Never realy seen a bed warmer before. Sounds great with the reverb.

  • @sserddab thanks Mike. Maybe these bed warmers are just an English thing?...you Ozzies and people from the US don't seem to have heard of them!
