  • At least you got out safely. You could relax on a Cypriot Beach, Beirut is still a fascinating city even with all the derelict buildings. The port of Byblos is a must see & Tramway in Jbeil you have quite a view of the area from the top.

  • i believe if it wasn't for hizbolla militants, israel and lebanon have a potentian to become very close allies. but who am i? i'm just a dreamer.

  • im in canada right now studyin and have one thing on my mind and that one thing is going back to lebanon

  • omg i cant belive u actually video taped that :O

when i was evacuating form leb i had nothing else on my mind other that leaving the country lol

  • we were on the same boat! my mom also recorded the crowd dancing...did you see the fight that broke out? my mom got it on tape :P

  • yea I remember the fight I wish I got it on tape, there was so much more to include...if u can upload it please do!

  • just wondering .. why was there a fight ?

  • omg this brings back memories..

i was there too, and i remember waiting in that huge line from 6 am to 1am just to get on those buses..it was crazzyyy

  • OMMG....I WAITED FROM 6 AM TO 5 PM.......

but i was actually evacuated on the Orient Queen cruise

    I REGRETTED LEAVING :(

  • @anice1834lyf then you should have stayed.

  • i remember evacuation it was kinda scary in lebanon being 10 years old in the middle of a bombing

  • thats exactly how my family got evacuated! same boat too!

    this is so cool!!

  • I was there too. Took me and my family 6 days to get back. It was really exhausting.

  • Why did you have to go to Cyprus for ? What happened ?

  • Lebanon was under attack from the Israeli Army and so foreign nationals in the country were evacuated by sea to the nearest countries, Cyprus and Turkey, where we were then able to fly back to our home countries.

  • o0oo so you were tourists. How about the people that lived there ?

  • i was on the USS nashville. me and my twin.. two teenage boys, we froze our asses off on that ship .. it was hell lol

  • ya i was on the USS Nashville too i thought it was fun lol i was lucky enough to find the captain's quarters and my family and i stayed in there the whole time

  • this looks like the bad old days

  • ahh!!

this is the same way we got out of lebanon!!!:(

  • Wow, very good footage. I don't know how you could be dancing at a horrible time like that though. I mean I know I would try and do anything to pass the time and even maybe somtin to cheer people up but I just can't picture myself dancing or looking like I'm celebrating anything when my countries being ripped apart. But that's just me. I hope you and your family made it out of their safely.

  • You had it way worse than me. I was there that same morning. I made it into the marina at 9:00, because the previous day I had gotten a white slip. I made it onto the USS Nashville and left at 3 pm to cyprus.

    It was a terrible situation.

  • I was also on the Nashville. My evacuation was very professional considering the huge numbers of people all wanting to go at the same time.

The recent car bombing is just another reminder that Lebanon will never be free as long as another country holds her people in fear.
