  • Is this how you really stretch the tires?

  • TE MAMASTE QUEDO CONMADRE OSEA GREAT JOB CHINGON

  • i've got this weird feeling, that this is a 'little' unsafe :P i wonder how this will behave when you push car a little, like in corners

  • cool!

  • where do i get stret'cha ma'bloks?

  • How did you get it beaded on the other side? :P Been so far my biggest problem whenever I`ve had problems mounting a tire.

  • @DStylesHanska try using a bicycle tube to close the gap on one side and pump up the tire.

  • @w810sc Thanks. I`ll try that next time.

  • How about taking it to the mechanic?

  • damn, you good at that, most videos are more than one try

  • not dangerous as thats what we do with gas or starting fluid to seal a bead on a tractor semi or rollback tire ask and farmer

  • Someone please show these retards a lowered drift car so they STFU!

  • good ol fire trick! works ever time.... when properly executed.. nice job!

  • That is awesome! and quicker than I expected. Well done. It looks great!

    +1

    -Paul

  • were can i get some 7 inch deep rims like this for a 240 sx???

  • @9mrsimz

    search it on google lol

  • hey i got a question, don't you have to add those weights on the side of the rim???

  • Who sings this song

  • Ghetto stretch but it works lol. Nice

  • my english is not soo good.. but what is that in sprey cans

  • i DD with 195/50.r15 kumho exsta hp's on 4 15x10 -52(f) -54(r)

  • Use a cheetah and a rim clamp.

  • is this dangerous? could i do it to a smaller extent so its safer? i like the rounded look on deep rims for that hellaflush look but it has to be ok for daily commute

  • @GodsNotReal95 "is this dangerous?" in a word, YES! IT puts a COMPLETELY improper load balance on the side wall of the tire leading to a far higher likely hood of a blowout under all conditions. It also adversely disrupts the handling characteristics of the tire. It is absolutely purely for show and adds no performance at all in any condition.

  • wow people dont understand its a look for cars? not that people cant afford bigger tyres?

normally in my experience they go with lowered cars and camber so the wheels fit flush in the arches

  • @AwGsharpie your partially right i guess....but originally people fitted smaller tires onto their rims because wider tires are..well obviously more expensive and if you didnt have a spare at the track if u had a blow out...you could stretch a tire that someone gave you and went on your way...but yea now a days...its just another trendy fashion statement...for some people anyways...i do it because it stiffens your side walls and gives a fair amount of extra grip without purchasing low pros

  • i love how all the people are like this is unsafe. We go through a new set of tires every month and we do this for alot of reasons. You blow the tire long before you ever have to worry about it being unsafe. Do you not know why this is done? Why are you people even looking up tire stretching? Oh and also the tires we stretch cost about 40dollars a tire and to get ones to fit the rims we run are like 150-200 to last the same amount of time to just have fun with..

  • so wtf is holding the lower bead on ?

  • here's another idea...

mickey tompson 17x12 wheels with some M/T street/strip slicks.

    huh?

    nice and wide right?

  • they look very racers...but will it blend..???

  • I think yours is the first vid I've seen where the tire is weighted down before setting the bead.

  • Do you think a 18x10 stretched would look OK on a lowered Mazda B3000 Dual Sport?

  • who invited the fun police? proper tyre/wheel packages? who the fuck writes that on a video like this? fuck off! keep streching the tyres guys!!

  • what is the point in doing this

  • i need to find out what tire n rim demensions so i can do this on my 88 Z31 i want the same look! plz help

  • The problem with this (and many of the low profile tires that come on cars these days) is that if you brush a curb, instead of the cheaper tire protecting the expensive rim, it's the other way around. Also, with low profile tires, you are more likely to have a blowout when you hit a really bad pothole. I had a car (Porsche Cayenne) that came with 22" rims and I hit a pothole and and a blowout on both tires on that side. I changed all the tires to 17" rims so that would not happen again.

  • you are doing it the hard way man. but good job on the vid

  • Well I see that zzztubazzz enjoys the words mother fucker alot..... Us crackers have a way with words thanks for noticing.. ;-)

  • the tread should be as wide as the rim to look good ... just saying...

  • CAN U DO DIS ON A BICYCLE?

  • nicely done man

  • enfia o fire em seu asss..

  • Why not just run a smaller rim with less dish? The width of the tread is what matters performance wise, not how wide the rim is.

  • Oh!

My boyfriend told me once that he wanted to stretch my rim !

    Cheers.

    from,

    del-boy.

  • @YouAreQuiteRight l0l Be careful he might ask you to do a rim job

  • @YouAreQuiteRight LLLLLLLMMMMMAOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! .............CAN'T STOP LAUGHING!!!!!!!!!1

  • @ mrvincentblackshadow

I have a technical question for you please.

My 1991 Toyota MR2 has Momo Idea rims. 16" front, 17" rear, (the car is factory different wheel size f/r)

What's the largest tire you would suggest I place on the rear? Thank you.

  • unfortunately i've done this, (with a can of either and a couple of dumbass friends we litterally exploded the tire onto the rim)

  • Never go over 1/2 size of the rating, if it's 16 you can go 15.5 or 16.5 or you just being stupid. I test tires for a living trust me on this. It's not only dangerous it's detrimental to the tire and wheel.

  • nice

  • why?

  • Impressive

  • MAJOR PROBLEM you have just stretched the sidewall out past its saftey limits and you may end up having a blow out just with normal daily driving, Not a good idea! death over dollars never makes sense

  • why you put all the stuff on top of rim

  • Only somebody in a wife beater shirt would know how to do this!!! hahaaha nice video

  • smartest way of doing thins ive seen on youtube. lol

  • why do people do this?? strech the tiers on rims that is??

  • I bet every trial lawyer that sees this creams his pants...

  • funny if he put it on the rong way

  • Can't be good for the sidewalls and has to dramatically reduce the life of the tire.

  • I would be pissed if you took my engine hoist apart to do this! On the lighter side, that awesome techno made me wanna go do some driftin

  • are you doing this for looks or drifting? this would not last in a daily drive nor to have sitting pretty in your garage

  • or startin fluid..

  • How about you just get some wider tires to fit the wheel right

  • @justlm69 that aint drifto-style

  • @justlm69 Haha, I agree. Not to mention, doing that to a tire, just isn't the best for it. And it fucks with your beads, belts, and just about everything other part XD

  • @justlm69 how about you go buy a truck an start dating your cousin...

  • @justlm69 because that would defeat the object of having stretched tyres :L

  • @justlm69

if you dont' like this don't comment. its style of tuning to get fitment.

  • @justlm69 God idé! do you take it in your hiney to?

  • @justlm69 its jdm you wouldnt understand...

  • @justlm69 it's about looks, people don't stretch tires because they couldn't find the correct size, they do it cause they like the way it looks.....

  • here is a better idea properly size your tires to the wheels next time rather than putting together an unsafe wheel and tire combo

  • @djlonewolf78 when you have negative camber you have to do this!

  • @abt565 Are you really that big of a fucking moron WTF does camber have to do with stretching a tire? Why fucking idiots like you comment on something you have no idea WTF your even talking about is beyond me!

  • @djlonewolf78 how is this unsafe even race cars runn stretch tires

  • @djlonewolf78 Stretched tires are for looks, not for safety.

  • @djlonewolf78 So hows this unsafe? Oh wait it is perfectly safe haha

  • Nice method!

  • great video mate dnt mind the haters and idiots *like*

  • Why would you even want to do this ?

  • Billet Specialties will make any size rim you want if you got the money. and those tires he mounted(and by the way sealed the bead looked dangerous ie explosion/rim failure) are safe to ride on it just doesn't have any side wall cushion for road shock.

  • that looks SO gay!

  • lol you know it's going south when you see fire.

  • running tires that's to small for the rim Is just damb stuiped !

  • The only difference betweem Genius and Stupidity is Genius has its limits.

  • @bigorangetrucker genius has no limits.

  • how do those balance out after you do that? it doesn't look healthy

  • cant believe those fish heads think that looks cool... looks like somebody was to cheap to buy the right tires for the rims.......

  • Ill be looking forward to see you tires on the site of the highway

  • sick, ive looked and looked and have found barely anything, i want some really deep bosozoku 5 lug rims and i cant find any... do you know of any other sites?

  • @yujiman9990 Yahoo japan or widen steel rims.

  • Call 999 there is a fire.

  • is this really how ppl do this? by lighting them on fire? lol

  • Talk about wanting to win the Dawin award...

  • fucking SICK!!!

  • makes it look gay. like a dinosaur egg

  • this is the coolest way to mount a rims lolz

  • @Notchism88 What does that even mean?

  • Nice to see someone else does that. We run wheels with inner bead-locks and a bear to mount. That way makes it easy.

  • Tha looks wrong, i mean the rim/tire ratio. The rest worked dam good.

  • Why not just get wider tyres to go on them rims instead of stretching undersized ones?

  • haha awesome setup.. im loving the weights LOL

  • 215/40- 16 ON 9X16 RIMM

  • @DR4SUPERMOTO 210/525 14 on 14 x 12.

  • are they safe to put on your car?

  • No, because 245-tires need 9 or 10 inch wide rims

  • So, I heard you can bend a rim on a pothole or curb em real easy if you're not careful.

Is that true? or are you just really careful?

  • hey man . whats the name of these rims or some with the same deep dish . can any one help me out .

  • slappa'da'bass mon

  • so fucking dangerous. i had a tire explode on me by having to small of a tire on to big of a rim at work. it shot the 30 lb rim up to the ceiling 12 feet in the air, if it hit my head i could have died. 2 ppl at my work have died from tires exploding

  • could of not been a jew and just bought bigger tires....the second you try and turn with those tries on your car, you have a huge blowout...lol

  • but...why?

  • lets play some deep dish b-ball lol

  • so what is the point of stetching the tires? also will they be good while cornering? meaning will they fall off the rim at high speed corners?

  • is this proformance related or for looks?

  • This video is really going 2 help me when i get my new alloys... thanks! :)

  • i love that stretch! hell yea!

  • why do ur tires look deformed

  • because it's the wrong combination of tire-width and rim-width

  • Quick questions: How did you use fire to inflate the tire? And wouldn't mounting and inflating it the normal way get the same result? I ask because I got plans to do this on my own car and I don't know enough about this yet

  • @krayzeejojo You put something ignitable in the tire, and then you light that fuel to create an explosion. The explosion forces the tire sidewalls outward and sets the beads. Normally it would be really difficult to get a tire onto a rim that's considerably wider than it.

  • You know you can use a tube as a spacer to do that and there is no chance of blowing your self up.

  • looks dangerous...

  • I've never seen guys doing stretch in Moscow))) only imported japaneese cars have it..

I'm gonna try it on my aveo2004..... I'm scared...))) Youtube skills only)) Wish me luck guys

  • @ruCLUBFACES good luck bro, just be careful

  • DAMM NICE

  • why not buy wider tires?

  • Why would someone risk doing this?!

  • epic win! loving it

  • i would like to see these on a car an ridin,so if im doin about 20mph hit the nitro go sideways an drift will they stay on the rim?

  • whats the 12v battery for?

  • @YoungCesar1000 to power the 12 volt compressor

  • what's the song?

  • how much do these rims go for and where can i get a set in 15's ?

  • @phatboycrxhf

    yahoo auctions japan.

  • Wtf was that going on?....

Who cares look at the stretch baybeee

  • just plain awesome! Got new tires and got em' stretched too, the ride is still nice, don't see anything wrong with it

  • looks badass

  • Alright, for the PEOPLE that does not understand why these guys are stretching their tires.

First of all, people do it for the VIP style (JAPAN style mainly), drifing, and even for daily drivers. But the main purpose for stretching tires is: Once your car is lowered and you have these stretch tires, this creates more clearance to your fenders. In other words, you can actually LOWER your car even more without any rubbing issue BECAUSE oh how the stretching is shape its "ANGLED".

  • What brand tire is this 235/50/14? I need a couple of these! Please advise..

  • @emenot look for yokohama tires.

  • So does this make the tire alot weaker or what?

  • Nice post mate .Old school !

  • Absolutely amazing. Next time post a vid with em mounted!

  • Is that illegal in the USA?

  • @drizzetsrevenge Its more to do with validity of insurance.

  • what car is this going on?

  • @superbleeder86 a celica ta 22 ;)

  • Name of the song?!?!

  • thats a crazy stretch man! my stretch is mild, 225/40/18 on a 18x9.5 wheel (drift use for my 350z). any pics of these tires/wheels mounted??

  • Holy crap, Do not be stupid enough to breath the fumes from burning Brake Cleaner. That stuff is wicked toxic!!!!!!!Do a google search for burning brake cleaner dangers.......seriously!

  • @l1bikr omg I just did omg this dude had taken a small whiff of a small puff of smoke and he almost died his body just started to shut down jeez thats crazy.

  • @l1bikr Agreed, it's as toxic as it gets, burning break cleaner can cause nerve damage... and CAN shut down your kidneys!

  • @l1bikr oh relax grandma.

  • dude its safer to drive on stretched rims if your drifting and shit like that

  • Hello fonzy!

  • I liked @ 1:25 when you sprayed the fuel, the music starts going "psssst...psssst...psssst...psssst" This looks good on lowriders with true spoke rims.

  • im getting 16/7 and i need to know what tire size to choose, can anybody help?

  • i think its too extreme

  • That is actually so cool. Its crazy a tire has that much flex in it. Way to go!

  • well done matey, i have seen this thing 40 years ago village ppl used to doing it for tractor tires, anyway nice drag rims there mate.

  • well i know i will never do this on my truck. i'd rather just buck up and buy a tire rim combo that fits but i guess it works. kinda.

  • @jt4265 stretching isnt just used as a cheap way out, its preferred in many different applications. (ex: drift cars, allows for less sidewall flex which leads to less "roll" from tire flex and ultimately more predictable/precise steering inputs, not to mention it can help cars with less power due to less contact patch. price is another plus, smaller widths = cheaper tires to burn in most cases. For flush/poke show cars, allows for fender/tire clearance to get the flush look we all love :) etc)

  • what caught on fire?

  • Nice

  • nice video, trade cars with someone at trademecars, com

  • shit man ya joking right that thing is going to kill some one lmao. like the song though dude.

  • sweet stretch!! where did you get the 245 50 14?. i have a 14x12 with 215 60 14 vid. its the only tire i could find. i think its safe enough. iv driven pretty hard on it with no problem. no point arguing with people who just dont understand the style.

  • that can`t be safe to drive

  • geil die dinger kann ich die haben für mein Susuki Carri buss....grins

    bestimmt geile strassenlage.

    gr udo

  • Wonder if you have a video with the tires on a car?

  • Wonder if you have a video with the tires on a car?

  • IS THAT SHIT SAFE TO DRIVER ON?

  • @sunpacific

I've driven on more aggressive stretches for the last 4 years. Never had any problem.

  • @sunpacific just cuz ur local "mechanic" shop tells you it isn't dont mean he be right.

  • @sunpacific plenty safe. just sidewall stability is sacraficed i imagine. check out vws and the enthusiast that stretch them like CRAZY, and then to 100 to on onramp just fine

  • @sunpacific Yeah it is. theres videos of people drifting with these

  • @sunpacific no

  • ohi really need somebody to Well yah should find out

  • amazing, my hats off to you you m8

  • to pump up the tire of course lol
