  • Love all the mixes on this CD :DDDD

  • 01.59... OMG c'mon..

  • I first listened to this when i was 12 and i associated it with the smiley face badges i brought back from Majorca in '87.

  • This shit was my jam in my weekly walk to high school every morning in the suburban hell of San Diego. Truly transported me to an escapist rave mindset everytime.

Anyone know what the track at 2:59 is?

  • @djmixnmagic Dj Seduction - "Come On"

    dj seduction come on

  • I first bought this on cassette from Moonshine Records in 94. Got the 3 Disc set a couple years later and threw the Moonshine copy away. They absolutely butchered the mixes just to fit it on tape. This set is the best! Thanks for posting!

  • @bogger4fun40 I don't think it was to fit it on cassette. I think it had more to do with getting rights to the music in the US.

  • this is by far the best mix of vol. 3 if you ask me. never knew the name of the opening tune though. what is it?

  • I've just bought Vol 1 and Vol 3 off Discogs. Took me right back.

I used to own Vol 3 on vinyl, dunno what happened to that! lol

I had to buy them seperately, cos the 3 disc compilation is selling for stupid money, approx £80!! NO WAY! Individually they cost me a tenner! lol

  • BEEN LOOKIN FOR THIS FOR YEEEEEAAAARRRRRSSS!!! CHEERS!

  • Also, it must be said, that the digitally-edited / beatmatched nature of these early mixes was VERY ahead of its time.

  • I actually have 2 copies of this 3 cd set. The one I originally bought in 1992 and a new one about 3 years ago still in shrink wrap. I will NEVER get sick of this stuff . It's too good. Also have the moonshine records version which is similar to the third disc in this set but has a couple songs within the mixes edited out (musta been a licensing thing).

  • @djcrazy65 Man, I hear ya! I too bought a copy of the 3-disc paper-sleeve set (and then promptly wore it out and scratched it up after multiple, multiple playings) and then I bought another one a few years later that was still lying around in the miscellaneous section at a store somewhere. I have since transferred all the mixes into 320 mp3s and will NEVER grow tired of 'em!

  • I didn't think it was good as the previous two, and didn't they know tapes were the way forward, whats the CD about.

  • ok.... just got it...... Krome & Time - This Sound Is For The Underground...... classic!

  • WOW.... thanks so much for this...... brings me right back....

does anyone know that track at 7.00...? just after SL2 On a ragga tip.... it has the loop ""it's time for the underground"........ that tune just sent shivers over me scon and down me back...!

    cheers......!

  • Had this on cassette, fookin awesome memories :)
