The 88 Trials were drug tested. I was there...I saw the escorts taking athletes into the drug testing area after following them around the track following their race or field event. Anyone saying that they weren't tested is ill-informed or a willful liar.

Now, what happened in the testing labs or subsequent to the tests is an entirely different matter that has been the subject of rumors for years.

myricks never seemed to finish the double hitch. always looked rushed, and missed full rotation at the end. im certain that these indi trials werent drug tested.

Possibly only the 1991 World Championships could rival this competition - one of the very best and those jumps by Myricks and Powell came after the competition was stopped due to bad weather.
