The album version is miles better! This one is just a common, generic song, with nothing to "catch" the listener" with. Why dumb it down? Why all this insecurity, A-ha? Those "special" things are what makes A-ha what it is.

Why do they have to release slow songs?

They should have released the Bandstand instead. IRock fans or fans of adult bands won't like that song (especially when you see the mannerism of the singer), which is so boring comared to what other artists release now.a-ha: 1 point.

Thanks for posting so quickly! Like others, I too find the video very lack luster. I also like the RAH live version of this song the best, but I like the album version with the violins at the end much better than this remix. Maybe the remix was to cut the song down for a single??? This is a beautiful song, one of the best on the album... this song lends itself to a more intriging, atmospheric story lined video. I think a great opportunity for an amazing video was missed here. Too bad!!!

Always known for the quality & excellence in their video's, maybe we can cut them some slack on this one and see how "NIKYH" turns out. Because, if a song ever needed a good video.. it's that one! Shadowside is such a good song it can stand on it's own with or without a video! On the positive side, the kaleidoscope effect was interesting to a point & all three looked great, especially Morten! He sounds brilliant, his passionate interpretation & delivery of this song is nothing less then amazing.

Thank you for sharing! I feel that the scenes with the geometric designs should be more of an artistic airy, shadow consistency & moving in a way to reflect the lyrics (keep the kaleidoscope theme), rather than a glass shard consistency would add continuity to the video. Anything with these three handsome & UBER talented artists is worth viewing over & over again. I like how Morten looks so fresh, sexy, passionate & sincere in the delivery of the lyrics & message. Part 2 Yes. Once again. I think it is great and calm new video who fit Shadowside. Big favourite of mine from the new album. And it is not FOTM or CP videos, who I also think is great made aswell. But this time Shadowside. And dancing girls would have ruin the video with the guys.I like to move my dancinghips, but the great Nowegian guys don't need dancing girls and once again I think Morten is, all 3 is doing a great jobb there. Yes. I have to disagree with you who say you are disappointed and it is boring ect.

I know the Nowegian guys have said from the some of the new interviews that they had some more work to do with the new video or changes or something like that.

But Yes. I am not dissapointed and I think it is great done and I think the mirro effects is good and Morten yes all 3 is doing a great jobb there. I think it is calm and fit to Shadowside. Big favourite of mine.

I like their shows, but Morten never speaks except to say "thank you so much", which is utterly fascinating, you know. If you succeed being in the 10-20th first rows, you may find him funny and nice because of his facial exwpressions, but the poor fellows at the back won't see this, and as he does not speak, you see how interesting it is. I am afraid he tries to be very philosophical, and speaking to fans doesn't match his aim, I think. He must take us for idiots, I think

Well, I hate to say it, but it is a disappointment to my expectations - this mirror effect is not very imaginative, lot of times the close-ups are out of focus .... :-( seems like it has been just thrown together in a hurry :-(

It lacks the refinement of previous a-ha videos - even Cosy Prisons was way better than this....!

As for the song itself, I still miss the "I will " and I think this simplified version does not much good - sorry guys, but I was expecting something much more professional !

The close-up are out of focus because they WANT to be out of focus. It's the "shadowside" they're talking about, so the darkness and the out of focus thing go toghether with the meaning of the song.

But I agree that it could have been more rich. The mirror and "caleidoscope" effect it's good (again, the "shadow-light" contrast and the "double-side" meaning), but it could have been pushed a little further, and it lacks of the "crescendo" effect that is in the song...

Is it me, or since a-ha team with Universal, their videos are uninteresting, unimaginative, boring, always the same, always dark, and with low budget?

They seem more adult, that is a fact. But I am fed up with the love stories between Morten and his mike...He touches his mike, he caresses his mike, he lokks at his mike...Nothing more original, guys? Like little girls dancing to the chorus, something refreshing; something romantic, bucolic, for once, for god's sake!!!

I feel the same. I was hoping that the single version of this track would be identical to the one from Royal Albert Hall. I can't help but say that it disappoints me when a song is not represented in its best incarnation. This one is better than the album version though.

Both remixes of NIKYH and Shadowside are quite awful, they could have reached way further if they had taken control of it better. Incredibly boring video with some mirror-ideas any infant could have come up with. Take matters into your own hands lads!
