its really not often when you can say it, but its something of his voice that makes it well his

although it sounds nice nothing can top the original.

the singing was done great only they used to much Spanish guitar to make it the song that i heard form when i was little(btw i'm 15).

I'm a 18 year old male, who loves listening to the dutch version, but this version is soo much renewed and a new type of song has been made, which sounds perfect!!!!

Tho, because I'm dutch, I prefer the Dutch version, as i can live and feel with it

Actually the song is written in 1973. In those days, it was sung by singer / actor rob de nijs

you are right, but this version is not by rob de nijs. Boudewijn has rewritten it. original it is written by boudewijn and Nijgh and in 2005 this number has reach position 1.

Oh this song is in Dutch so beautiful. But the English version is also beautiful! Actually I don't want to choose between this 2 songs.

The chorus is the most beautiful of the whole song!

It's a nice cover, because Gentry stays next to the official song.

You wouldn't believe it, but it's actually better in Dutch! But maybe I'm just biased, having grown up with the Dutch version and choosing it as 'our song' with my ex-boyfriend (though we didn't really chose it, it more or less happened). I'm still in love with this song though!

Thanks for your great comments! I know that this song is really meaningful to Dutch people, so Jesse & I tried to be as true to the song as we could, but also adding in our own personalities.
