  • thats so cute. i love it much :x

  • I am beginer, I never crochet flowers before and I really want to learn but i Ma having tough time to follow anyone's speed on you tube. How can I make a slow motion ???

  • @ecofriendlyS It is normal for a beginner to crochet slower. Your pace will pick up with practice. For the time being, you can pause the video.

  • @ecofriendlyS What I did was I just watch the clip, pause, watch the clip, pause, repeat until I quite understand how they did the first part then try it out and repeat the process. I think it's best to understand it first before you try it out :)

  • Teresa...whats up with this magic circle you speak of..lol! That is way foreign to me..

  • Very pretty and easy to do, thank you for sharing.

  • traute pfiffer . sou fã de croche, vou gostar de muintos quão belo sao os modelos de flores ,adorei ja sei fazer algumas ,sao mesmo encantadoras obrigado 8/10/2012

  • Ahh ok tht was 2 sep pcs. Then connected! Gotcha! I truly love ur work maam

  • @aliciasy156 Glad you got it figured out.

  • Where did u stsrt the second row? In the magic circle? Oe behind the first row of petals?

  • Beautiful. I made it for my daughter and it was very easy

  • @Dariela30 I am glad that you like it. Did you put it on something or make it for her to play with?

  • I will attach it either to a hat or a hairband. It looks beautiful either way. I made a few of your other items too. I will soon be attempting more hats. Thank you!

  • I made it, but I made mine a little smaller with 8 petals in the top layer and I made them 8 chains long instead of 10 and it turned out great! Thanks a ton!

  • @babylover0990 Great idea for making it smaller! I am sure others will use your suggestion! Thank you!

  • @cybrid1940 You are looking for a large marigold several inches across with several rounds?

  • is there a tutorial on how to join them to make a throw of marigolds?

  • This is beautiful. I made a beanie that I am going to use your marigold on. I will post on your fb page and I will give you credit for the flower! :) Thank you very much for such a pretty flower pattern!

  • @sonyamagana1987 You are welcome!

  • Thank you so much for such a clear tutorial. I MADE THE FLOWER!! I can't believe it. And it looks great...this usually does NOT happen!!!

I'm not much of a crocheter, but you show us how in such a clear fashion AND give us the written instructions too! You are really amazing. I hope you continue to help me and so many others be creative. THANK YOU!!!!

  • I want to stitch these onto a blanket for my mom, I am new at this so what is the best way to attach it to a blanket so it stays put?

  • @mamaenfuego Sewing the flower is the best way to attach it. I use the same yarn used in the flower and a tapestry needle to secure it to other crochet pieces.

  • beautiful. How would you put that on a stem for standing in vase?

  • @miknrache I would recommend crocheting over a pipe cleaner if you want a crochet stem or you can use the floral tape wrapped around wire. First you would secure the wire to the flower on the back side, twist the wire and then wrap the tape.

  • Thanks dear for your quick reply..

  • Hi Teresa,

Can we make it into square like you have done other flowers ...... if we can plz tell me how ?

I want to make a flower granny square bag .

    Thanks for all your videos

  • @251rishi49 Yes, it can work in to a square. Sewing it on to the square will be the easiest way or you can work 4 loops and turn it in to a square from there.

  • Thanks for the magic circle it helps alot!!!! Btw i lovee your work..

  • osom.

  • @superkarategurlz For comfort and a cushion.

  • @tjw1963 I saw yours and got the same one's at walmart ($2.50 by the way =oD ) and now I cant even crochet without them...seriously. • This marigold flower will make the chemo caps I crocheted look much better. Right now the caps look so plain and boring that I did. I kept putting off taking them to the cancer building in town. I just was not that happy with how my caps looked. Now this flower will add the final touch the caps need. Thank you!

Do you have any experience in Tunesian Crochet? You are the best...

  • I appreciate the comment. I have some video showing how to do the basic Tunisian. There is a woman by the name of Kim Guzman who creates many different patterns and instructions with Tunisian Crochet. You can Google her name to find her site.

  • =\ is there a way to make this marigold without the magic circle?

  • Yes, you can use a chain 3 or 4 and then join.

  • Cute...

  • You are welcome. I appreciate the comment.

  • Thnk you! Just by watching thsi video Igot a lot of the terms and how to use them! :)

  • Sweet!

  • how do you hold the wool and keep the tension?

  • When I watch a video and think, "how did she do that part??" I can always find the answer on one of your other tutorials. I appreciate when you also use the number of crochette hooks as the ones I have found have numbers instead of letters. You have brought happy little crocheting moments to my life! I will be passing your links to my other international friends here in Finland as we try to learn these fun handycrafts (finns love handmade things and I think they are born doing them).

  • Thank you for the comment and sharing my channel. I appreciate it.

  • Thank you so much for putting these videos together! For a novice like me it is extremely helpful to see the words in action.

  • I sent you a link. I have video posted showing the magic circle with clothesline so it is nice, large and easy to see.

  • Hia Teresa, I think you didn´t get my previos comment: I asked you for permission to teach how to do this flower in spanish. There is NOTHING in spanish about crochet! I could mention you & said that is YOUR work. Pls, let me know!! Dalila.

  • This work is AMAZING. I didn´t know it existed!

  • Thank you. :)

  • nice

  • Dear Teresa,

I have left comments before, on your video's.

I am disabled, because of a really messed up lower spine. so i spend alot of time in bed, with my laptop and everyday now, i watch ur video's over and over....i know how to do all of these things, but sometimes, i watch your tutorials, just to have someone to crochet with.

Thank you, for all of your excellent time spent with us.

I also am going to be teaching my 15 year old dauhter how to crochet.....so she can also enjoy.

    Susan

  • You are welcome. It is great that you are able to pass along to your daughter. I hope my daughter will learn one day.

  • Your videos are so interesting! I ´m teaching my nieces to crochet with them!

    Thanks!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • Hi, I am new to watching how to crochet. I cannot believe how patient you are and the time you take to do this!! I have been crocheting for years but have difficulty in following directions. I want to thank you so much for what you do!! God bless you for your kindness! JoanB2009

  • Thank you very much for the comment. I appreciate it.

  • Hi, I am watching your videos for sometime now on youtube, and they are wonderful, very explicit, and it's so easy for me to follow you. Soo thank for posting them. I want to ask if you have also a video explaning the OVAL STITCH, because I did not see it. All the best, and keep up the good work. Hugs

  • What are you calling an oval crochet stitch?

  • Your tutorials are wonderful! What a treasure trove I've just discovered today.

Just as a suggestion, would you be willing to consider starting future tutorials off by showing an example of the completed project? I think it would help the visualization process if we could see what the finished project looks like at the outset of the instruction.

    Many many thanks!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • I am a beginner. It makes me think a lot to start the centre loop, how to pull it and fasten the centre circle at the beginning of the video.

  • You just pull the yarn snug and make a couple of knots with your yarn tail. The end of the video shows how to sew the center to the rest of the flower.

  • It's the funniest thing, it's nearly 3am and I just put down my crochet hook and yarn! It started frustrating me cause the yarn is getting too fuzzy and I'm practicing building on top of the base chain. But I WILL learn to crochet, by hook or by crook, pun intended :P

  • You will get it, just keep practicing. :) Ask questions if you need help.

  • Excellent you make it look so easy and they are so pretty.

  • Thank you. :)

  • Approximately how large is a finished marigold? Was wondering if this would be too big to make & attach onto a hat for a 3y.o.

p.s. You're awesome! All these great tutorials & instructions!

  • It is about 3.5 inches across.

  • video has too many pauses/interruptions....couldve had a better connection

  • I'm sorry you have a bad connection.

  • Thanks you this is an excellent video. I will definitely try this. I love marigolds and crocheting. Thanks youtube for the many great crochet videos.

  • You are welcome. I have a crochet blog that you might like to visit. Feel free to ask questions anytime.

  • i love your videos! they have helped me so much, because no one in my family can crochet, only my great grandmother who passed away a few years ago.And I'm only 12 years old,so your instructions are very easy to follow!

    thank you so much!

  • I am looking how to make a rose one that looks like a blooming rose crochet of course.

I have not been lucky enough to find that one on you tube. do you think you know how to do one of these. Thanks. Vera

  • Have you seen to two video tutorials I have for roses? On is larger, one is smaller. I am always working on flower variations. I intend on doing another rose variation.

  • hi can u show us how to do doilies thnx

  • ooooooooh my! where are my crochet hooks? i have to try this one, it would make a lovely pin! your videos remind me of my mom who crocheted all the time.

  • I love to crochet flowers... do you have any more?

  • I have 5 flowers right now. If you click on the link to my squidoo on the right of video, you will find all 5 flower videos in one module. Otherwise, you can use keywords, "crochet, flower, tjw1963" in the Youtube search to find them too.

  • Thanks so much!

  • I thank you and Youtube for this opportunity! Hope your wrist is better. Hugs

  • Very Beautiful !

  • hello, I have been watching your videos and I think they are wonderful! I have to ask, however, do you ever have rist problems from crocheting?

  • I have been very lucky and not had bad wrist problems. My wrist has gotten sore if I crochet on a large afghan for several days in a row but that is not something I have done very often. If I feel it getting tender or sore, I stretch my arm out, rest a few minutes and then go back to crocheting. I would say that has happened maybe 7-10 times over the 25+ years I have been crocheting.

  • I've been having a go at making little flowers, but they've all looked a bit like they need watering lol! Thanks for posting this, I'm definitely going to try this one :0)

    N xx

  • You are welcome.

  • For anyone who needs help with the magic circle, I have a video tutorial posted of the magic circle. Click on the More Info link to the lower right of the video for the link.

  • that is just tooo adorable with so much potential for other colors. thanks.

  • Beautiful! I haven't seen anything like it. Thank you!

  • Thank you. :)

  • Excellent!

  • beautiful. can you make roses?

  • Yes, I can make roses. I have a small rose video tutorial already posted if you are interested. Type in the keywords: Crochet a Rose and look for tjw1963. That one will be mine. I am working on ideas for larger rose variations.

  • That's what i wanted teresa...you are a star...thank u so much.
