Really great video full of life and passion, we look to things for enjoyment and to amusement though there is always a tails side :) Really do we "listen" to what is
These poems are like Kaddishes, death- we will all experience one day. Finally i find a poet that realizes and has written about the dark side of poetry, as well as parish and connecting, and also a brighter side. I .like the beginning as well, seeing different people from the past talking about segregation, poorness, equality, etc....
I am writing a lot of recovery poetry myself and get much therapy from it. Our entire nation is in some type of recovery....
@onesandra Don't give up "writing about any subject" it is all about life and how we see things :) It is correct what you say but it is the whole "world" in recovery. Happy days to you
the horse: a beautiful horse speeds towards me across a plane of bleeding flowers mane blowing swatstikas carved in its eyes black blood flowing onto the ground staining it a dying color the horse turns it all into flames running running running from itself
This is such a treat for me as Donald Hall is one of my favorite poetic voices. This film gave me a much fuller appreciation of just how much he has to share and offer. Thank you.
I may incorporate isochronics at some point, although there is no firm plan to do so at this point. The PsimatiX approach uses several entrainment methods, binaural beats being secondary to other techniques that in combination produce great results. Many PsimatiX tracks don't have any binaural beats in the traditional sense, but do have some stereophonic binaural harmonics, which still produce hemispheric synchronization in the brain.
moments as you love me still. time with rains as bitter tears, loves me more, beneath my fears, more and more my mind grows ill. Nights with daydrops, air with chill. faces haunting with longing lear, air grows colder, leaves appear, daggers falling like poets quill. Shadows wandering, falling still. your touch I reach forever near, phantoms churning, your voice I hear, memory quivering with icy chill.
It is my definite misfortune that I have not been aware of this most extraordinary poet before now. I look forward to reading his works in the future. Thank you for posting.
I have heard Don reading in person since 1969 in Ann Arbor & was his Teaching Assistant. Still adore him.--Linda Woodward (TX TInkerbelle is AKA for cattery I had)
Yeah, I just got it from the library a few weeks ago and I love it! Not to mention the fact that it came with a poetry reading CD with it! Haha. Thanks, God bless you too.
Donald Hall, U.S. Poet Laureate, has published 15 books of poetry and won numerous awards. In addition to two Guggenheim Fellowships, he received the Marshall/Nation Award, the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Los Angeles Times Book Award and the Lily Prize for Poetry.
Such a treat for me to see this guy. I have been carrying one of his poems around in my head for 20 years I think. This reading is a bit slow to get going but just give it some time and I am sure you will be moved and inspired.
very beautiful presentations.

Using Rap & Poetry, I fought back against family racism towards my mixed race daughter. Crown court then banned that rap & poetry.

Indeed, JADYONE, it would seem so.
He is absolutely charming and, quite obviously, brilliant. Oh, how I wish I was a cheerleader in times far, far removed from these...when
poets still wrote about my thighs. Sadly, the times are these and....I am a man.

~<~@ In viewing Donald Hall's presentation of:
"My Son, My Exclusioner",
I found he read it with passion.
"White Apples"
Viewed by one who remembers the farm too! My father worked very hard farming
potatoes.

Donald Hall is definitely one of the greatest poets in American history (and in world history). His prose is amazing, too.
I was fortunate enough to hear him speak. I hope I'll get to hear him again.
