Mark Hamil is definitely the best actor ever to have voiced the Joker. Nicholson is, so far, the best to play as the Joker in a movie. I don't think his performance was perfect (he was too fat) but it sure was better than Ledger's ! It takes more than stupid make-up, face close-ups and sticking your tongue out to deliver a memorable performance. The Joker isn't a member of Tokio Hotel or Kiss, he's a humorous version of Capone, not an emo version of that clown at McDonald's.

My favorite Joker moment is when he called Batman "Bruce". To me, that gave a sense of equality the two foes never shared. Batman always had something over all his villains.
