@Partyffs Well, how many of these others who claimed to be the son of God performed miracles, died & came back to life, infront of CROWDS? witnesses who were still alive at the time? If it wasn't true it could have been easily disproven. The Romans & priests didn't want people believing Jesus was alive, they would have asked these 'witnesses' & if they'd denied seeing Jesus then the 'rumour' is finished.

@Partyffs Plus how many of these others had followers willing to lie for them, & DIE for it. Almost all of the disciples were martyred & could have lived had they simply admitted that Jesus wasn't the son of God. If I were them I wouldn't be killed in excruciating circumstances for something I knew was made up, like unicorns.

And seeing as ONE book is insufficient evidence for anything, you still have no evidence, only ONE old book that contradicts it self.

@Partyffs That's the thing though, the evidence for Jesus isn;t just in ONE book. We know Jesus existed from other evidence, including historical documents and other religious texts.The Bible is actually one of the most reliable old manuscripts there is, more than other historical books which are taken as fact. Also, I'd quite like to know where you think it contradicts itself? I wouldn't say I'm a fundamentalist, but I have faith in the Bible and maybe am not as liberal as some Christians.

@Partyffs Ok, that's quite simply incorrect. It does not instruct you to kill people who are unfaithful or disobey the commandments in the Bible! And certainly not disobedient children! Jesus is also mentioned in the Quaran, jewish sources and Tacticus.
