Pat's been through quite some heavy life. His songs actually contain quite deep stuff, compared to most bullshit artists out there who haven't seen the dark sides of life. Considering how much he traveled with practically no money, he's bound to have dumpstered and squatted. Freight riding's probably a bit useless to get where you want these days, but hell, if I lived in the US, I'd do it just for the fun.
