@Nick75987 Ive found them at Garage Sales, but Ebay is also good from time to time. You can buy new from mower/chainsaw shops but be prepared for a lighter wallet ;)
railroad spikes work alright too can sometimes find those for free, it gets pretty fierce when you start trying to split 24"+ diameter oak or hickory stumps. I like the manual method though, good exercise.
Im looking for an easier way. Ive got some Ironbark and stringy 4 weeks since I dropped em. I need another 20 wedges Fucking bunnings want 20 bucks a wedge. Gimmi a lend of ya bucket M8. :p
the log looks very dirty and old in side of the split log
lets see you make a voieo of you firing up your wood stove

Nice vid :)
Going to split a tree in an hour for some bow materials.
Wanted to see how it was done before i ruined the wood. ;)
And major respect for walking around in short pants in high grass in Australia ( i presume)
I mean, no creepy crawlers under that log?

Good luck with splitting the wood.
Love working with wood.
Yes Im in Australia, however the creepy crawlies are highly over rated.
More people die from horses than snakes or spiders in Australia each year.
Snakes are way cool. Spiders too!

Sorry...no lendy of bucket :)
I bought most of my wedges off Ebay. Theirs ocasionally smallish lots going cheap.
Gooooodluck with the newly dropped hardwoods...but Im guessing they would have to be easier to split now then when their dry yeah?
Could always copy and build one of those hydraulic splitters that everybody seems to post up on youtube.
