  • does somebody know the name of the song from the Pink Floyd music ? I think it is not One of These Days. because it has a different sound.

  • 1 minute of research tells you that he had a masters in experimental psychology. Not chemistry and not mathematics.

  • @dman519 It was probably sarcasm. When bodybuilders are referred to as chemists it's because they use drugs, although Zane here was probably only taking steroids as opposed to today's mass monsters who use a variety of drugs including insulin, Human Growth Hormone, and steroids.

  • @RomanSage Frank used dianabol. He stated it in an interview and as far as I know, that's all he used.

  • @ryanwegner2010 I said today's mass monsters are using insulin, HGH, and steroids.

  • @RomanSage Aye i know, you're corrent, I was just stating exactly what Frank took so that everyone can see it

  • @ryanwegner2010 Gotcha.

  • 1:12 pose of hystory

  • Does ANYONE know the name of this song?!

  • best poser hands down

  • I want to see the Vacuum!!!!

  • excellent conditioning ... One of the worthy bodybuilders of all time..

  • Bad camera and lights

  • Phenomenal poser. One of the best physiques in the business.

  • love the way he pose

  • lol steroids, like all things, must be done in moderation. You can't go wrong with anything in moderation. Fact of life.

  • then=blood and guts

    now=pills and needles

  • P E R F E C T.

  • ending with that legendary pose, simply outstanding.

  • WOW,I haven't seen footage of frank zane for a long time..The best bodybuilder ever.

  • I wonder how old he was here... prolly close to 40 or more. And if you are going to call someone a retard, don't say things like: "Steroids IS for retards"- you may want to brush up on your English.

  • What a gorgeous man!

  • What a gorgeous man!

  • THE MOST ELEGANT PHYSIQUE IN BODYBUILDING HISTORY!!!

  • Frank Zane is my idol, becoues of him im never gonna use steoroids!

  • @darkerca even frank zane used steroids you dumb fuck. All pro bodybuilders do, and telling yourself they donr is naive.

Steroids don't kill, used properly they are amazing tools. They also help burn victims, people with muscle wasting diseases, HIV patients, and much more

  • @LoweJoe Actualy Frank Zane didn't because if he did than he would have more mass.

  • @chris96kalonji steroids aren't jjst used for mass, bro. They also use them to aid in cutting for competitions.

  • Outstanding. This is part of why it was called "golden years of bodybuilding" back then, and 20 years from now people will only continue to laugh and mock the horribly gross physiques of "bodybuilders" today. Coleman, Cutler, these are just overgrown, heart disease bound roid-monkeys with fat stomachs and lack of beauty or proportion.

  • greatest ever.

  • I can't believe he actually got Mr.O with his 15" biceps, and his really small body, he is a really big looser my biceps are bigger then that and I'm fricken 16

  • @Beatzuout it wasnt really about muscle mass back then just muscle density and symmetry both of which frank zane acceled at to the highest physical degree

  • @Beatzuout Fuck you, my dick is bigger than yours. You arrogant punk.

  • @Beatzuout mate he had 18-19" biceps.

  • @gt3510

    his biceps were 17"

  • @JoWest2031 ahh well i read somewhere that he had that probs different sources but i could see him having 17"s..

  • @Beatzuout i doubt you have all other body parts in proportion, and your overall body fat is like Zane's...

  • @Beatzuout i read his bi's were 18'' when he was in his prime, 77-80

  • its crazy to think with that exact physique he probably couldn't even be a certified pro in this day in age.. with all these monstrous hgh filled freaks..

  • my dad had him as a teacher at watchung hills N.J YA GO JERSEY AND FRANK ZANE.

  • One of my all-time favorites. Among the most symmetrical bodybuilders ever.

  • He has the proportions of a Greek God. He truly belongs in Mount Olympus.

  • @AFOH I agree. The one part of his build thats always bothered me, though, is his biceps are very flat and seemingly lack the depth of his triceps, when relaxed.

  • the best poser ever exist.I am from greece and i think his body is like apollo's,the ancient god of the sun and music

  • they called him the chemist because he has a higher degree in chemistry, retard

  • @LoweJoe Hey FAT ASS....You only WISH you had a body and/or a PHD in chemistry...LOL. You CANNOT get BIG WITHOUT HARD WORK....Steroids or not....RETARD!!!

  • @LoweJoe

He doesn't have a degree in chemistry-check out his resume, and watch the childish name calling.

  • @LoweJoe I thought it was experimental psychology and he also took amino acids and other supplements which was unusual for his time

  • @LoweJoe theycalled him the chemist because he used to take a lot of supplements, thats what i heard

  • @LoweJoe He was given the nickname "The Chemist" due to his Bachelor of Science degree and, as he puts it: "Back in the day I took a lot of supplements and tons of amino acids. Still do. But back then it was pretty unusual. That's how I got the nickname The Chemist." There was also a perception that his nickname was given because he was very scientific in reaching his peak on the exact day of competition, year after year.

  • @LoweJoe - You are the retard. His MA degree is in Mathematics. They called him The Chemist because of his low bodyfat way back in the 70's - he was brilliant in the area of diet and supplementation.

  • @fuss400 for the fact he toke alot vit pills and Yeah he probadly did take roids everyone did but zane was all about balance so his dose would of been very low (i would like to belive) will never no only he knows

  • What an inspiration! great shape

  • @superpredatorr he was natural you fucking tool

  • lol, no he wasnt

  • steroids for retards? LOL! Arnold, Zane, everyone in the Olympia took them.

  • @LoweJoe Ehhh, no Frank zane didnt. And steoroids is for retards.

  • so perfect

  • the best

  • This is more than perfect...this is extraordinarily perfect!!! I've watched this vid a million times but just cant get tired of it, motivates me everytime!!!

  • Can you believe that 3X Mr. Olympia Frank Zane is exactly the same height and over 100 pounds lighter than the current 3X Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler!! And, taking nothing away from Frank, but Jay has a lower bodyfat percentage! It's been just 25 years. I can't even imagine what the winner might look like in another 25!

  • haha imagine marcus rhul coming on stage or sum 1 on synthol hahaha

  • If I had the luxury to choose a body for myself it would be Frank Zane

  • Frank proves that a superb physique is not all about Mass - it's Symmetry, Definition, Proportion, Balance, Power & Grace.

    What an inspiration!

  • Zane and pretty much the old BB's had the best physiques, how anyone can look up to or want to be ronnie or jay is beyond me.

    BB is a disgrace now.

  • I personally think bodybuilding will one day go back to these type of physiques. Things tend to come back in time.

  • For me!....King Zane...The master of Definition!!!! that's All

  • thats what i call PERFECT!!!

  • This guy needs to workout!

  • sooooo hansome :D

  • I cant believe when i see how the physique have changed in bodybuilding. The steroids have transformated the bodies. i cant imagine how will be the future (20 or 30 years in the future)

  • What an elegant physique.

  • Uhm...that is 'One of these Days'...it is just a mixed version.

  • the point here is frank zane not pink floyd.and he rules...

  • this aint fukin pink floyd, go to pink floyd an type "one of these days", you can clearly see that song appears in the 83' olympia and NOT 80' olympia !!!

  • this isn't one of these days by pink floyd; he posed to that at the 1983 mr. olmpia. This is 1980.

  • wot song then??

  • Oh...it's Pink Floyd's music? Wow...I didn't realise that.

How about Tom Platz's pose? Remember what song was his from?

  • Tom Platz's posing song was "Ride Like the Wind" by Christopher Cross

  • I hate that song....
