  • Great stuff - I found the album for a quid a couple of years back...

  • how the fuck did this get to number 1? they sound like they are stoned

  • what a very boring song

  • A cocktail party just wasn't a cocktail party unless you played this with the volume knob up high with everyone screeching out the words. Oh boy did this single get a work out!Always got played at the end of the night after we had been listening to James Last 'Hammond a Gogo' for the last hour. Happy, happy days, that sadly, are no longer here.

  • oops

  • I was married to one of Cinderellas ugly sisters. Her name is Betty and she lives in Grand Junction,Colorado.

  • Cool song.

  • Straight back to my childhood.

    What a wonderful silly song.

    Thanks for posting.

  • this is really a weird song & clip

  • Simplesmente perfeito, melhor ainda na voz de Ivri Lider e Rita com o remix de Offer Nissim...

  • you have 4 thumbs down, surprised, you are a typical moron, go to hel idiot, i speak for many

  • shes a bit cute aint she

  • hahha..I love it

  • This is one of the greatest ever. She is gorgeous too!

  • @minib1964 So you are deaf and blind I;m sorry.

  • One of these days I am going to find the Nancy Ames/Mason Williams version (they wrote it). I seem to remember them performing it years ago, maybe the Smothers Brothers show.

  • @CaptBill1947 Yes, it was on the Smothers Brothers show...and I prefer their version. I wish someone would post that video!! I have it on VHS, but haven't the technical ability to get it posted, unfortunately.

  • @katbaloo3 The Composers are always the BEST. People can improve WITH LOTS OF HELP but to compose a song on the spot, to compose a noise unlike anything heard, to be the FIRST...one cannot beat that, n'est ce pas? So Smothers Brothers is like SO a rehash...improved or not.

  • I don't think that this is a bloody, great song, but this song introduced me to Esther Ofarim in the late 1960s, and she is a bloody, great singer.

  • This song was a (huge) hit in Europe, but not in the States, (low Charting)...most American cringe when they do hear this song though (and rightly so!)

  • just a bloody great song, who cares if you cringe, it is a bloody sad day when politics gets into music, anyway good song, should be more of it. Australian here by the way.

  • @novalee66 It figures it figures!

  • I don't recall hearing the Ofarim's version in the US but the Mason Williams version was extremely popular in the US. I must have heard it a million times in the 60's in the US.

  • I didn't say I didn't like it (I do), but I think it's her trilly voice that do most people off here in the States... and yes I remember Mason (Classical Gas) Williams version.

  • lol love this

  • Nice song from great talents..I loved it too as a kid and I still do now. Thanks for the posting!!

  • Dieses Lied gefällt mir sehr gut, doch "Noch einen Tanz" ist noch eine Spur besser.

  • My parents, who were groovy BBC people in London in the 60s, had this record, and they used to play it to me when I was a tiny kid in Dublin in the early 70s. Very kitschy but good fun.

  • Love dublin !!

  • Oy, this was popular when I was in 5th grade. I had to favorite this. HAD to!

  • Ive always loved this song

  • I was 3 and 1/2 when this song was in the charts and guess what? I still love this song!

  • @minib1964 Guess you're the same age as me then! Do you remember it being on the radio right before "Listen With Mother" came on?!

  • Oy! Forty years old and it still makes you want to puke!! It's puking already it's making me vant to! Putsch und Schlemiel!!

  • I never thought anything could be worse than the "Legendary Stardust Cowboy." He's on YouTube. Just go to "Parallelized" by the Legendary Stardust Cowboy. Seriously, I didn't think it was possible anything could be worse than him. But here it is.

  • Love that LSC!

  • Such an adorable song.

  • UK No1 March 1968

  • I must confess Esther and Abi were the first artists from Israel to have a worldwide hit, and this must be the result.

  • He looks like Englebert Umperdink!
