One of these days I am going to find the Nancy Ames/Mason Williams version (they wrote it). I seem to remember them performing it years ago, maybe the Smothers Brothers show.

I don't think that this is a bloody, great song, but this song introduced me to Esther Ofarim in the late 1960s, and she is a bloody, great singer.

I don't recall hearing the Ofarim's version in the US but the Mason Williams version was extremely popular in the US. I must have heard it a million times in the 60's in the US.
