  • at the dollar store you can buy used lures for 1.25$ but they might be missing an eye or a treble but nothing you cant replace and i caught a 27.3 lbs pike. And I didn't replace anything I was shocked!

  • i baught one at a swap meet for 2 dollars along with 2 bomber square bills i have the brown shad color

  • Years ago these "Frenzys" got a lot of promotion in the local angling press over here in Germany , ......I've also purchased a few , .......but like many American bass crankbaits they lack sufficient buoyancy , so if a multi-strand wire leader is attached(essential over here , as pike are stocked almost everywhere) they most likely get to sink slowly, ........still acceptable for a minnow bait BUT not for a long-lipped deep diving crankbait !

  • 52" 45lb Muskie on that size frenzy? Chris, You are FULL OF BULLSHIT in every video you upload.

  • would you recomend these for trout?

  • @yabudday121 No trout usually go for slow small bait fish such as shiners or maybe even the really tiny blue gill sometimes so if you want a good crank for trout you need one of those mini ones in probly any color.

  • @bulldude8796 oh thanks a lot!

  • @bulldude8796 would a rapala dt-4 work for trout? i just bought one

  • @yabudday121 No I just recommend the rapala original in the smallest size or possibly a tiny crank bait. Usually I wouldnt use lures for a trout but sometimes its fun to watch them jump out of the water for them.

  • @bulldude8796 what would you recomend for trout if im just casting from shore and from a boat?

  • @yabudday121 the smallest size in the rapala 'shad rap shallow', smallest 'jointed shad', and rapala jointed no bigger than 2 or 2.5 inches work well, spinners work well too with the flashy spin action in clear water.

  • @yabudday121 I really dont know, I dont use lures for trout so Im sorry buddy.

  • I luckily picked mine up before they became real popular at about $2 a piece!

  • I love my frenzies. They are a little cheaper than rapala and I don't think the fish can tell the difference either.

  • i catched my 3rd litlle pike on a frenzi minnow 6cm and a few quite nice european bass

  • good crank but they have gone up in price in the midwest due to popularity. When they first came out they were 3 dollars now ive seen them as high as 5 dollars(getting up there in price with rapala)

  • @tarheels59 Time to look for a new favorite lure that's cheap.

  • @tarheels59 check out matzuos, on amazon you can get afew of there models for 2.50-2.75

  • They troll them in salt water in Australia with good results.

  • @FishingBrisbane What do they catch?

  • @ProAnglers good size Flathead, Jewfish, Cod.. just about anything that will hit a moving crank bait. They are a favorite for flathead.

  • @ProAnglers fish

  • How deep will this berkley frenzy dive?

  • @jtschid0910 about 11ft at 1.8 mph at 100ft behind a boat.

  • I have a frenzy zara spook-like walker and I have to say, it's almost as nice as my lc sammy and for less than half the price...so I can dig it...I'm not much of a crankbait guy, but I'll take your word for it and pick one or two up if I run into em

  • @manifestgtr Try trolling them above weed beds that have tops around 12 feet. They work really well.

  • Bustin Bass Baits has great lure making supplies and tip.

  • @Beefer413 I'll check em out.. thx

  • i seen a pic of guy catching a 10 lb bass of this lure in florida. Sounds good

  • Wow.. that's a picture I would like to see.

  • what color of a frenzy would be better for stained and clear water conditions cause my uncle gave me a couple frenzys

  • @Fishingfreak4liofe Blue Tiger works all the time but Darker Colors in stained water.. natural and bright colors in clear water.

  • Best "cheap" crankbait that I've ever used is a Norman DD 22. its $4.99 per crankbait, and you want to replace the hooks with stinger hooks (or those new rotating treble hooks if your into those). It runs true out of the package, you can cast it a country mile with a long rod, it gets down deep, and the finish is pretty dourable.

  • @cameltoejoe69 Hmm.. gonna give that a try ...thx

  • yea dude, i roll with firetiger for anything, always worked for me, the first time i used a lure it was a DT type Rapala off a lake side in Oregon when i was 13,7 casts in and i got an 8 lb largemouth..

  • Ya.. the firetiger works great. Nice Bass!

  • lol, after i watched this, i accidentally ran into some at sport chalet here and got a firetiger XD, thanks

  • @tubesystring44 Did you use them yet?

  • thanks man thats some good info

  • @ruiz8386 Thank You!

  • Where can i pick one up?

  • Good question. They were discontinued by Berkley. I have been buying them directly from the Berkley Website or eBay lately.

  • Thanks man!

  • @thesloth16 Thank You!

  • Oh wait, just went to Sportsman's Warehouse and they have a bunch. haha Thanks!

  • Try em out and send us a pictures of the bait and a fish. We'll post it on our website.

  • Alrighty, thanks for all the advise.

  • @thesloth16 Thank You!

  • do the frenzy firestick as good as those flickershads?

  • Absolutely! I love using the Rainbow medium diver over weed beds at night for huge walleye.

  • They even work great for salmon during spawning season.

  • Great Idea

  • Yeah these lures are great on the lake and yes they do catch what ever see's it and great price!!

  • haha.. ya they catch the hell out of fish.

  • Check your local hardware store...

    thats where they're at....

  • ooohh.. good idea. I headed out to look now...thx

  • no problem...

  • They have them at K-mart here but they like $5 each its not in bargain box

  • I'll take a look. Might get them as a blue light special.

  • to bad they dont make them anymore

  • get em as they wash them off the shelves =)

  • these are ok little baits but not that durable, also the hooks start to rust after a while.I dont mind having a few in my tackle box but i would rather have a bandit or rapala.

    Good Vid:)

  • I have caught many many bass on the lipless Frenzy crankbait. It tracks true at high speed which can't be said for the Rat-L-Trap. Great baits at a great price.

  • Great idea! I have not tried the lipless Frenzy yet. I'll try it on the spawning small mouth next month. It should rock. Thx..

  • my favorite lure despite the lack of popularity. The blue tiger color worked beautifully for me catching cohos and browns last fall in lake michigan (from shore),they're great on bass too.

  • That's my favorite as well. We're getting ready to launch another frenzy video where we show these lures catching all kinds of fish species.

We found a bunch for a $1.50 each at a sports show so we went out and caught Brown Trout, Bass, Pike, Walleye and Crappie on them. Should be done in a week or so.

  • i got one of those about a year ago only used it a couple of times never knew they were really good lures i will use it more now

  • Try trolling in 12 - 20 feet of water with them. They work great for trout, pike, walleye and bass.

  • thanks

  • this sporting goods store by me is selling all frenzy baits for $1i got 3

  • Really!! You have to tell what store it is. I stock up every time we find sales like that. I go though 50 of these a year because we use them so much.

  • I catch lots of Pike and Perch in the UK on these, they're great little lures :D

  • Yeah..they're amazing. We use them whenever we can't get the fish to bite. ..and they're cheap =)
