@Moonlight3164 If you have resources it is! I'm an undergrad right now studying Clarinet performance (played for 10 years). I am able to use a nicer school horn and I was given some reeds made by a friend. I'm learning how to make my own, but getting hand made reeds makes it so much easier to learn. Talk to bassoonist!! They will give so much help. It's a lot of fun.
@pianomancuber91 I'm the only bassoonist in our district, I have no other bassoons to talk about making reeds? Is it cheaper than buying them? I play a fox by renard and normally buy med hard reeds.....how long should a reed last? thanks!
@STMAKnightMike It's cheaper but quite tricky and you really need someone to talk you through it, demonstrate and suggest improvements. I think self made reeds can tend to last longer if you look after them well, depends on the quality of bought reeds though.
I adore the cello suites. They have carried me through some difficult times, as has Bach overall. He is everything. Touched to hear you play him. Lovely sound you have there. Beautiful playing! A pleasure meeting you!
Me gusta mucho! Yo toco esa misma obra en el saxo alto, y hoy mismo empecé con el fagot para tocar en la banda de música. Espero tocar como tú algún día!
Wow! I've actually performed that once on the Bassoon. Didn't think someone had already posted this, though...
Points of advice: Try not to let your breathing get in the way of the music. I'd instead breathe before a bar than after the first note in the bar (advice I got from a cellist). Also, breathe more often instead. We're not playing Cello, so we can't hold frases for as long as they can...
WHERE DO U GET THIS MUSIC??!!! SOMEONE PLZ TELL ME!! I'M DESPERATE!!

Toco el saxofón pero de intrumentos más puramente clásicos, el fagot tiene un sonido precioso.
