@thehoff1982 I love 1-3. number four I think just lacks any decent story to it. The first is about about taking an opportunity when it comes along, the second is about believing that his talent was real and it wasn't a fluke, number three is about confronting evil with faith and determination. Four I think was set up well with the Drago-Creed fight because it takes a look at American people/culture, showing that perhaps the western world has become all image and appearance.

Rpocky lost his edge before he fought Clubber Lang the first time around. He had got caught up in the lifestyle as a celebrity. Clubber was hungry for the title. Rocky through the help from Apollo Creed had to get that hunger and his edge back.

If I was the producer of Rocky 3 I would have made some changes to how he got out of his depression and started seriously training for his 2nd fight with Clubber Lang.. here's what i would have done.. instead of Rocky having the heart to heart with Adrian on the beach.. Rocky should have been sleeping and have Mick appear to him in a dream, telling Rocky how he will always be proud of him no matter how he does in the rematch. and then Rocky starts crying and gives Mickey a big hug.

@ojideagu well the first Balboa-Lang fight is meant to be a reenactment of the first Frazier-Foreman fight, no need to indicate who takes over who's role. Balboa's fighting style in the 2nd movie and early 3rd movie is like that of Frazier - infighter, swarmer. Lang's is like Foreman's - a slugger. Swarmers usually get into a world of trouble with sluggers, because they're used to moving forward and taking light jabs. Naturally it's not wise to move forwards into a slugger's hooks and rips.
