Well, I don't use mine every day, but I suppose a DeLorean could be perfectly fine as an every day car. The fuel economy is 20 city, 25 highway. Acceleration on a stock DeLorean is very average - about 8.5 seconds to 60. There is not much room for luggage or groceries. The trunk is big, but it is very shallow. You can't stop anywhere without tons of attention.

When maintained properly, and with the known issues fixed, DeLoreans are perfectly reliable.
