The next best thing for flight simulation is voice control, particularly for the heavies.
It can be tough to adjust speed and heading in virtual cockpit.
That's why i use something called "Multi Crew Experience" (for which a free demo is available). My virtual co-pilot can turn all those dials on my voice commands. I can even talk to ATC.
Hey .... At what point on mcp do you change the altitude? As my VNAV seems to switch off and not come back on until ive change the altitude back to the cruise alt? - thx
I have a question for apolloflying2006, you flew this whole flight auto pilot right? well, how did you get the plane to line its self up with the runway? what did you do to get the right heading readings? you see, I can get everything but the landing lol, but i heard you could do it using the auto pilot, which would make everything for me easier, so can you give me some advice on how i should prep my airline before take off please? it'd really be helpfull
you can also go to the overhead panel and click "flight int" and it will also make announcements. however, the ones that you are refering to are in deed better
How did you open that window at 2:12. Is that an addon, or is it built into the level d product by default. I'm referring to the passenger announcements.
j25k, care to detail precisely what I incorrectly did that led you to conclude that I am "doing things the wrong way?" I'd appreciate the specifics. Thanks.
Nice vid mate, I need some help from anyone who has this same problem. When I'm flying online with VATSIM, the TAT (Outside temperature) reading gets higher, the higher I climb which makes no sense! I've checked everything else and don't understand where I've gone wrong! When I'm offline it doesnt seem to have this issue. It's a pain as it also affects the performance of the aircraft..if anyone can help I'd appreciate it greatly! Will post this elsewhere too! cheers
Whenever i fly at night with my level d 767, the lights in all the analog gauges(VSI,ASI, etc.) do not work. Everything else is lit up but those gauges. Anyone have any ideas? Am i missing a light switch somewhere?
hey i have a prob with level d 767 when i want 2 do autoland or ils i tune freq to nav1 (the 1 with ils test on it) and i push APP and LOC and arms but doesnt activate can u hlp plz?
Gear goes down early on Innsbruck approach to help slow plane due to higher than normal descent angle, it's done that way in real life approaches to LOWI.
I wonna fly the Level D too, I'm trying to find out how to fly it, with fmc and stuff... I'm already trying it quite a while ... :( I Don't seem to get it flying good:( ; I have some problems with take-off and landing, flying at cruise level isn't that difficult, So if you know a good tutorial or something please let me know :d I'm getting desperate over here :D.
And I've got 1 question; Are all aircraft with fmc the same ( or most things ?) Or are they al different ?
Use Active Camera to move around, save the views, you can find the wings moving around with Active Camera, when you get the wing shot you want save it according to the instructions of Active Camera.

Is there a setting or can i do something to a config to set this up????
I like that fact that you played quiet background music at the start, like real airlines do. Plus you also used cabin crew voices throughout the flight. Well done.
Sometimes you have to come in high at Innsbruck, the valley gets some serious wind shifts, and on short final you can sometimes be faced with a real high and unexpected sink rate because of a significant wind shift. Better to be a bit high in this situation.
it's probly cause you are running an XP built game on vista.
I had the same problem before i got FSX i had FS9 on vista and the graphics god danm horrid and then i went to XP and it works fine good graphics, and back to vista and it's(SHIT).
I use Adobe Premiere Pro to arrange the clips, edit them, and export them with compression into Windows media NTSC 1024k download movie format, which is uploaded to Youtube. This results in about 4 or 5 gigs of video being reduced to around 100 to 150 Mb.
Thanks a bunch. I captured a few FSX and X-Plane clips with Fraps and rendered using Vegas Platinum (wmv format) but still can't come close to your efficiency. I wonder if it's because Adobe Premiere Pro is utra compatible with Adobe Flash or is just much better than Vegas Plat, or both.
The Glideslope on that end is 6 degrees instead of 3. However it can be a good idea to, once visual, turn left into the centre of the valley and decend a touch harder early so you end up below the glideslope and on the Papi slope (about 3 degrees) in a visual approach. This approach seemed to be on the glideslope (6 degrees) right up till minimums.
It only takes a few landings at Innsbruck to understand that the valley winds - and I use Active Sky so it's real, real - shift often and unexpectedly, resulting in an unexpected sink rate, sometimes dramatically, Hence, the high approach.
