I love my Pike. Its the same one you have. Some say its porky for its travel. Sure it maybe somewhat true with the advances of technology in the newer forks but it weighs like 4,5 pound which is respectable. Will a Maxle Lite work? Its super plush and stiff for my fat ass. A+ Rock Shox
Is that a personal trail that you have made, or is it public? What state is this in and what is the name of the trial? It's exactly what I've been looking for! Thanks for your time and great video!
Nice. I have an inbred with a revelation. Travel and handling is perfect but I can feel a bit of flex when I'm cornering hard. I guess that's not a problem with the thru-axle.
in 1908 a lady named sally rusa was in the woods looking for a dog until a ghost came and killed her so if ur reading this u will find a bloody body in your closet hanging there haunting you and will kill you and ur family and if u want to stop this just sends this to 6 videos in 30 mins or this will happen good luck!!
Hey mate, that looks like one sick trail! Where is that? Nice forks btw, Im thinking of getting the revelations (Cant really afford to upgrade to a 20mm thru-axle just yet :D)
mam skok ustawiony na 140. jak tylko siąde na rower i położe na kierownice ręce to jets skok 125-130. co jest z nim nie dobrze? ten pike miodzio, co moze byc z moim?
Most forks will dive when you break hard, it is very difficult to combat this, pedal bob is different, but it is unusual to find pedal bob on bikes without rear suspension
Nice performance, though the rebound seems to be a bit too closed.
what's ur setup and weight? I'm trying to get my setup working like that since May '07... 90+/55- and about 50% compression was the best I tested till now (for a 165lbs rider).
i ride it with the stock settings, and always with full travel (140mm). i've just increased the air pressure a little bit, as described in the manual. my weight is around 160lbs.
ma bike: giant reign one 2005 frame wiz fsa headpart marzocchi z1 rc2 eta 2007 10years anniversary version easton mg 60 80mm 15degree stem tioga 90mmrising risebar odi lock grip wtb laserdisc dh wheelset kenda small block eight 2.1 f and r raceface evolve xc crank wiz shimano dx pedal wtb rocket v saddle easton ea50 seatpost the rest things are all shimano xt set... oh,but i changed the discbrake pad into a xtr ones... not a expensive one,but i really like dis bike... what you tho dudes?
can anyone tell that marzocchi bomber z1 rc,fox talas rc2,and pike u-turn air, which one among them is the most sensitive one?thanks, cause i wanna get one of them, and i cant make up ma mind...
hi ive seen these forks on 4x bikes for jum, ping e.t.c. but they`re ment for all-mountain and there not warrented for 4x and jumping, are they good enough for 4x?
i ride it with the stock settings, and always with full travel (140mm). i've just increased the air pressure a little bit, as described in the manual.

coil vs air, what is the real difference in "feel" or motion of travel?
I just bought a Coil pike 426 09' for fairly cheap
DKF22 1 year ago
@DKF22 No big actual difference, the biggest difference is that the Air version is waay easier to accurately tune.

would these forks be ok on a stumpjumper fsr ...i think the bike came with 100mm fox float forks when new.

this was kinda cool because i always wondered how much the fork actually compressed in normal riding. it's hard to tell when you're actually riding

@mateofleckito Same here. It's a great shot for seing how much is going on with the travel. Good one ;-)

Love my new coil pike, but I only seem to get 130mm out of it. As in the actual 140mm stanchion marker sits below the seals. Any ideas?

whats better about riding on 140mm of travel compared to 100mm? like when would u ride on the 140mm and the 100mm???? plz respond some 1 :)))
IxEntrnlix 2 years ago
On smooth terrain, the less travel mean less energy is wasted in the forks through damping, therefore you go faster.
However on more rugged terrain, the extra travel provides a smoother ride, therefore allowing you to go faster.
651bobby 2 years ago
ooh ok thanks man :)
IxEntrnlix 2 years ago
140 is more for free ride and downhill things like that 100 is urban/dirt jumping.
TuBBybOy65 2 years ago
Sorry, but i dissagree dh normally has a lot more than 140, 140 is for xc and similar, i would use 100 for a 4x and dirt jump.

Are you happy with the setup?
