Such beautiful photographs for this song. This is one of my favorite R. Carlos Nakai songs. Ever time I play his music CD's with "Amazing Grace" on it comes and it comes on, it makes my want to tear up, it is so beautiful.
I'm drawn to Amazing Grace, and am always searching for versions that go deeper. But I came to this posting by way of looking for R Carlos Nakai. Such a lovely confluence. Thank you for posting.

Now we live in Sweden. And people are bulling me and tells me that I should dance around a firepit and ride a horse while i'm hunting Bisons. But when I'm alone at night in my home I pray to the Great Spirit! And the Swedish people want me to become Christian but I wont. Love from Arwelora a Sioux.

This always reminds me of my Grandparents, oh how I miss them! No matter of our own problems, theres people out in the world that are worse off than us and arent as fortunate!
we sang this song at my grandma shirly's funeral....everytime i hear this song it makes me think of here because this was one of her favorite songs... in loving memory of: Shilry M. Brown
We also played this song for my grandpa when he passed away. Whenever this song is played it reminds me of him so much. My uncle did such a great job when he played it for his dad. I love this version of Amazing Grace.
