As a gun & wine enthusiast myself, I've enjoyed watching your videos, but dude, you keep murdering the pronunciation of the word ambidextrous. There is no "i" or "e" after ambidextr. just fyi
@SSJSasuke777 well carry a good knife/sword, you dont have to reload a blade. lol i dont really totally believe in a zombie invasion but id know what to do if there was one, and silencers would be your friend. also, .22 long rifles would be your best friend with a max range of 1 1/2 miles.
@SSJSasuke777 yea i know they arent accurate, but the .22 can reach out that far. i realized when i first heard it how ourageous it was but lo, they can reach that far. i imagine a slight breeze would throw it around quite a bit. if you actually want what i would use, id be buying a m99 barrett chambered in .416 now theres a rifle that can shoot 1 1/2 miles accurately
just how wicked is the 5.7 bullet? I think of the 17hmr and the way those little bullets just completly blow whatever ur shootn apart...is it like that?
I recently got the 5.7 bc im a 1 handed(left) shooter. im a avid shooter an was long be4 accident. This gun should be ban for the amount of fun alone.:D I lov mine. An take pride in knowing no1 would ever make it 2 me who wasnt invited. my 20 bodyguards always keep watch.:)
Fascinating ballistics on the 5.7/28! I picked up a xdm/40(17 in the clip@ 40 cal) I'd hate to shoot the 5-7 Id wantone! Just picked up a new sx-ar in .308 today! man, I gotta quit buying shit...wife says we need a basinet for the coming baby-I say what goods a basinet if you cant defend it!!
I've been wanting to get a Five-seveN for some time now. Honestly, I think I prefer 5.7 to 4.6. It has a little better stopping power and would be better against zombies. I like both companies and their guns though.
@Halvorson, I generally agree with you, but don't forget the bullet yaws when it makes impact to cause more damage. Due to that, its accuracy, and its high-capacity magazines, I would concur with Jordan here that it would be a superb anti-zombie weapon.
holy shit 30 bucks for 50 rounds? thats why i do reloads for my 5.56 rounds or i just buy cheap ammo if its short range target time. silver bear is like 28 bucks for 100 rounds but thats only for short range plinking. long range hunting and target i use Hornady rounds or reloads
The HK UCP is the companion sidearm to the H&K MP7 right? Like Five seven and P90. I choose 4.6 x 30 mm instead 5.7 x 28 mm too, but i doubt that 4.6 x 30 mm will be available for civilians. And who knows, prob gov will bann 5.7 x 28. My advice is to but now a five seven.
Quite a weapon. Good recoil, ballistics, etc. This FiveseveN would complement my FN F(S)2000. The only thing I see that could be an issue is the proprietary ammunition, and the grip size(I'm short and don't have the biggest hands). The latter being more of a personal issue. Prices on European weapons are up there, but if you can afford them, go for it. Get one before the Liberals take them away, for I believe this would be one of the first weapons to be banned. Bullets kill people, not the guns!
That's next on my list. My last purchase was between a FN or Saiga 12 with 2 12rd mags, a 5 and a 20 round drum. I went with the 12 gauage, now thats zombie killin. But I really want to pick up 57 pistol.
oh no tom cruise gots a gun!!...jk thanks for the vid..keep posting new vids the more you use it, i would like to know how it will do in the long run...i think pistols need to earn a good reputation :)
i got mine for $1077.00 with tax, and although it is a bit big in my opinion for concealed carry, (prefer my glock model 27 for that purpose), this gun is a real treat to shoot. Smooth very low recoil, and very high velocity, and can shoot APR's, but they were banned to the public in 1986 , for police and armed forces use only, bu ti really like to shoot it, good choice
i like everything about it but the safety lever being were it is it should be reachable by the thumb so when you draw on your target you cant disengage it on the draw
THe BRady campaign tried to outlaw it by saing that the pistol itself killed a number of cops in 03. Fabrique Nationale responded by saying that the gun was not even invented or out on the market until 04. This help put a hold on the banning of the firearm. The FN five seven is still legal. It comes standard with 3 20rd mags cleaning stuff a lock and a manual.
This is a great gun. If you are in CA you will need to purchase the 10 round mags. They don't plan to ban it on account of the high capacity mags, they plan to ban it because of its ability to pierce Type-II Kevlar vests. Get them quick... they are going to be banned soon. This gun really is awesome. The recoil is like a .22 mag, and the sights are great. The gun tracks well. It is also accurate to about 200 yards if you can shoot it well.
I want one, but give me a break there's no way that thing costed more than $250 US to make. A CZ52 7.62x25mm is one ugly, uncomfortable gun, but at under 200 bucks it will do the same as this thing.
hey eascoast, i know this gun is for sale to military and law enforcement use only. But is it for sale to active military members for use as a home defense or personal carry?
this gun is legal for civilian use and yes you can carry it a concealed carry but just keep in mind it maybe a lighter gun but its also a full size gun so its a bit hard to conceal carry unless you get the hang of it or find a bad ass holster
zombie killing thats great, ya i tested one of these at the gun store..... and know i got one sitting in my safe. Absolutely love this gun. If you can get any ss192 ammo for this gun get it while you can. Also two friends who are females they shot the 5.7 and love it. Kinda pricey but well worth it.
The 9mm is a terrible cartraige. My litlle brother has had to shoot stray cats getting into my dad's chickens, and has dispatched many in one shot with a .22lr. The one time he used a 9mm he hit the cat 5 times and it ran away. And all his hits were very good hits. The 5.7 is simillar to the 7.62x25mm Tokarev and is a very effective round.
Have you ever actually compared the 2 on game? I think not. I have, and the 22lr has performed better every single time in every single situation. So, yeah...I am being real.
Man, there isn't even an argument here. I can tell you're just some stupid little kid that doesn't know what he's talking about. Just imagine our troops going to war with a 22lr. Get real.
Oh really? Well, I'm onlder than you by a good deal, and I know for a fact that I know more than you. I would feel much better armed with a .22lr than a 9mm. Think of our troops going to war with a fuckin' 9mm! Not all troops are even issued a side arm. Plus the side arm is meant to be a defensive weapon, not offensive. And when I say I've campared the two on 'game' I mean out hunting or dispatching pests, not a video game.
i dont get wtf u r sayin..a 22 is good for shootin small game n all but think about what ur sayin..little animals are much diffrent then armed soldiers i think id much prefer a bigger round for my terrorist killing douche bag
Metaldude, did I stu...stutter mofo? Like I said there ain't even an argument here. You ain't gonna convince nobody to go for a 22lr over 9mm. People are reading this and laughing at you right now. OBVIOUSLY you don't know more than I. I still don't believe you've ever seen a .22lr bullet or else you'd feel shitty as hell right now. ROFL
...this comming from an unexpirienced and obviously uneducated person. Dude, I would bet my life savings that I've fired more 22lr rounds in one DAY than than the combined sum of ALL the varrying cartaiges you've fired in your whole life. That's fine if they laugh. They're laughing in obvious ignorance. I'm friens with MANY experienced shooters and reloaders and EVERY SINGLE ONE of them has had a 9mm at one time. ALL have been thoroughly disgusted with the round and ALL share my opinion.
if you had any common sense you would've been able to figure out by now that there IS an argument here, and it is; if you're going to fight with an underpowered pistol go for the 22lr. If you want to actaully be effective, use a .45acp, 40s&w, 7.62X25 tok, or even the 5.7X28.
obiviously you havnt handled one, this gun is a high velocity and is made of 75% polymer (slide and grip) and this gun has high velocity rounds that are hollow points so i think you should check it out before you judge it
I picked mine up about two years ago. It's a really nice pistol, I wouldn't use it for hom defense just because the so called hollow points they make for it over penetrates like john holms but that being said it shoots very smooth, reliable (I've never had a misfire/jam), you can beat the capacity, accuracy is amazing, and almost no muzzle jump. As it is still unproven I wouldn't carry mine in the field, that's just me.
It was originally designed to compliment the FN P90 as both carry the same round. Short answer is yes. I didn't know anyone had officially adopted it. Which agency?
one thing is that the really fast 2400 ft/s rounds are really expensive, I mean are common muggers or criminals really going to be spending $90 on 50 rounds of ammo?
where do you live? I have found 2 in this small town where my businesses are located one guy wanted $1099 for a minor used one and $1088 for a brand new one from another shop around town btw I live in florida some states including california wont let you carry the 20 round magazine so check the local restrictions before wasting a good $1100 for a 10 round magazine just not worth it
@x498 my logic is, if we were invaded by anything, why zombies? i mean we completely understand how one would kill a zombie, bullet to the brain, but i think if there was any dangerous creature it would be one we dont understand.
Man I tell there are more and more believers , those zombies will come and people like us are the only ones that will still be alive. I love this weapon I hope I am able to get one before they are takeing off the market.
what good is getting this gun if the true armor piercing ammo is illegal to purchase? Ok so the civi round has a velocity of about 1700 fps, but it's capability is still limited.. I just don't see this costing twice as much as a glock..
some1 shot at me with one of these and the bullet went all the way threw my truck like a warm knife cutting butter the hole was about big enough for me to stick the tip of my pointer finger threw it
Damn you! That's my sidearm in case of a zombie apocalypse! Now here I go and check out your channel and you stole my idea! Haha, excellent pistol. Probably the best overall one available on the planet right now.
It seems there has been alot of confusion with my last post. I own(1) Five seveN, I own several other hand guns, one in just about every caliber you can think of. The five seven in my opinion is the best all around hand gun made.
I meant other hand guns in other calibers, My Five SeveN is my favorite handgun. I own twelve hand guns, ranging from .22 to a smith & Wesson .460. My Five SeveN is my favorite, in my opinion is by far the most versatile gun made.
lol, so do I. This was the first gun I planned to buy when I barely turned 21, but ended up getting glock36 and some other rifles instead. I would regret not having a glock, but I regretted more not having 57.
i got into a debate with someone a while ago on a review of dragon skin body armor. It stopped .223 and 762 rounds and i was wondering y they didn't test it against the 57 round. its designed to penetrate body armor. haha, you should score some dragon skin and the full metal jackets and figure it out for me. On a more serious note, nice gun. one of the coolest handguns by far in my opinion. nice posts too.
yea thats what i watched too. a grenades damage is shrapnel based and doesn't even reach its highest velocity when suppressed with something covering it. its little pieces of sharp metal not a full bullet with more mass behind it that is traveling way faster.
nice review. i have a Five seven myself. the cool thing is i have the SS195 chronographed out of the Five Seven an avg of 2180fps! and have tested that round on Level 2 Kevlar vest(22layers).. yea it zips right through:) Cheers.
love my 5.7 check out pro-mag, they make 30 rnd. mags with matching grip pattern as the pistol..

Go with something in 9mm or even a 22 to learn how to shoot well. With the 22 you can go through a lot of rounds.
The 57 is a bit more expensive than 9mm, but recoil is less, so if money is no issue, it can be.

it looks like a possible Glock successor.. (finally?)
but there are several issue with it,
1. and the biggest problem with the over penetration.
that maybe sorted if FN will modify the round for less penetration.
personally i don't like active safety, though the position seams like brilliant option.
2. accessories. (red dot & so forth)

Okay, then go to his house and clean it up if it really bothers you then....

I will be buying one as soon as my tax refund gets done. I have rented it at my local range twice, and it is truly awesome!!

Can you do a video of the shooting with the silencer on it? Like I want to know how it sounds with the silencer on it.

I'm all about the coming zombie shoot!
Interesting that the SLIDE is also polymer.
Am hesitant to get a gun that might get banned though. Stuff for it becomes almost impossible to find when that happens.
Plus ammo is double the cost of 9mm. Nice gun, just not for me.

I just don't see this costing twice as much as a glock..

you should try and become a spokesman or independant tester for FN b/c after witching your three video spread, i'm seriously considering buying one.

My father used to be an EX-Police officer so, by any chance can he still buy the USG Model of the FN Five-seveN?
KirAIDS 3 years ago
Its only current, active, and approved Military and Special Police divisions. They are kinda sticklers on armor piercing.

im 14 right now and if i waited 2 years then had the money could i get my parents to get it for me or do i have to be 18 and buy it myself
theme57 3 years ago
Well your parents can buy firearms and let you use any of them at their own discretion but you actually have to be 21 to purchase handguns.

The FN Five-Seven is the Punisher from Resident Evil 4.
Mossy500A 3 years ago
huh?
scilonthreat 3 years ago
The pistol that you get for free, it is the FN Five-Seven. In the game, one round can go through two enemies, five when fully upgraded.

some1 shot at me with one of these and the bullet went all the way threw my truck like a warm knife cutting butter the hole was about big enough for me to stick the tip of my pointer finger threw it

It seems there has been alot of confusion with my last post. I own(1) Five seveN, I own several other hand guns, one in just about every caliber you can think of. The five seven in my opinion is the best all around hand gun made.
supersoundmind 3 years ago
now i really regret not buying this gun. i got a usp instead which i really like, but this gun seems even better.
FlyingAce1717 3 years ago
five seven best hand gun ever made, hands down! I own alot in almost every caliber made, buy one!
supersoundmind 3 years ago
i own alot of 5.7? or just guns lol. yea, im saving up for one. i dont have an income, so its gona be a while..
FlyingAce1717 3 years ago
FsN only comes in 1 caliber.
novan3 3 years ago
I meant other hand guns in other calibers, My Five SeveN is my favorite handgun. I own twelve hand guns, ranging from .22 to a smith & Wesson .460. My Five SeveN is my favorite, in my opinion is by far the most versatile gun made.
supersoundmind 3 years ago
lol, so do I. This was the first gun I planned to buy when I barely turned 21, but ended up getting glock36 and some other rifles instead. I would regret not having a glock, but I regretted more not having 57.
xycoordinatex 3 years ago
u could have got a pistol at 18, i thought at first 21 but i got myn at 18. just have someone else buy it hehe

i got into a debate with someone a while ago on a review of dragon skin body armor. It stopped .223 and 762 rounds and i was wondering y they didn't test it against the 57 round. its designed to penetrate body armor. haha, you should score some dragon skin and the full metal jackets and figure it out for me. On a more serious note, nice gun. one of the coolest handguns by far in my opinion. nice posts too.
crs7986 3 years ago
Dragon Skin Can take those rounds, APR are nothing compared to dragon skin. and i watched a thing on future weapons on it, it with stood a nade
MilfordsBigboy52 3 years ago
yea thats what i watched too. a grenades damage is shrapnel based and doesn't even reach its highest velocity when suppressed with something covering it. its little pieces of sharp metal not a full bullet with more mass behind it that is traveling way faster.
