- (from pt.2) the waterfall is too opaque to see Sonic, the rings make a REALLY bright glimmer, and the scripted gravity spring... you know, just the small things

- the special stage is... lacking. While I like the music theme and concept, the execution is a bit on the atrocious side. It need a complete artistic overhaul.

-there's also some audio and visual glitches, most noticeable in the final act. That'll need some fixing.

Well, that's all the bad. I hope those get fixed.

@AerobianAngel I didnt make this game and it's been out of production for a while. I kinda want to let the commenters know that I didnt make this and that I cant do anything about it. Drama insued (afaik) and this project got rebooted into a totally different thing.

Buddy, there are no bets to be had. I KNOW that I can't do better. My comments were only on the tiny things that really don't matter much, after I clarified that this game is one of the best Sonic Fan games I've seen and does nearly everything right.

This game has got to be the best Classic Sonic Fan Game I've seen so far. Yes, it beats Fan Remix (actual storyline instead of Sonic 2 rehash FTW). Since it basically does almost EVERYTHING right, I'll just list the negatives:

- the title screen is unbalanced. You have Sonic, Tails, and Knux crammed in this tiny Sonic CD emblem, but hardly anything in the background to balance it.

- some little aesthetic details irk me, like the standard run mode (beta sprite is unappealing), the SPEED FLASH

I wish they would release this game already. Why is it almost every awesome fangame never makes it past demo state? It's sad, this is so much more of what I wanted out of a sequel to Sonic 3 and knuckles. Sonic 4 just looks like another reboot.

Sonic, on the Genesis, was never about speed. It was about solid platforming with the occasional fast moment. The Uniracers knockoffs came much later. And no, that isn't a compliment.

Solid platforming > holding RIGHT for most of a level with the occasional jump.

Yes and no. Many of the design elements are sound, but some of the level doesn't have that "flow" classic Sonic levels had.

Looks decent overall, though the run animation looks... awkward. The level design is pretty solid, though, and the bonus stage, while unoriginal, works. The sequel to Sonic 3 and Knuckles idea is an interesting one, too.

Also, people really need to stop with the Sonic CD worship. Seriously.
