well i know there already a official time for the game i haven't seen it yet because i herd it was stupid but if it was up to me it would start like this

Great job with this, I think this is your best theory. It has also opened my eyes to expand on a theory of my own. I have always theorized that since at the end of OoT Link goes back to a time where he didn't defeat Ganon, that TP is the destined events of OoT taking place 100 years later and with a different twist. This would cause MM to take place before "OoT" (or more accurately TP) That explains why TP is really just OoT with a twist, that twist being inclusion of MM elements.

nintendo has already released their offical LoZ timeline and it turns out your theory is correct, but majora's mask and twilight princess only occurs when link is a child. there is also a third time line of what happens if link was defeated in ocarina of time. the start of the third time line is the game; LoZ; link to the past and then continues on to a few other games.. tbh i think the third time line is stupid.
@joziieee True. It basically makes ALttP and the other Zelda games a "what if" scenario. If the OOT Link was killed, then that was what would have happened. So technically these Zelda games aren't canonical. At least it makes sense I guess!
@MadeByShady IMHO the double timeline theory made more sence then the triple timeline explanation that nintendo released . The only thing was it needed much more time between the different games then the triple needed
@MadeByShady Well not really killed but... Put it this way when link goes BACK in time the first time he leaves that part of the time line. Once he goes back in the future he goes to a differnt time with some crap changed. so link was "defeated" by him not being there
@joziieee Twilight was around 1,000 years after OoT, which since Majoras mask is the child time-line it happened right after or very shotly after OoT, so also around 1,000 years. It's not the original Link, a completely seperate one, though it has only been proven to be linked with the Adult link timeline (which was the windwaker route.) which was a separate timeline than the majoras mask one and much more in the past. Therefore it's possible they are the same mask just in different outcomes

there is also a theory where windwaker is the parallel world to mm, due to alot of similarities such as the characters and settings.
The problem is the Happy Mask Salesman never stated where he got the mask.. either in Hyrule or Termina.
A) Hyrule- then I believe your theory 100%
B) Termina- then I still believe you except in a alternate twist.. the people who made the mask are a parallel of the twili. Just as everything in Termina is like a parallel of Hyrule. The Twili must be paralleled as well.
Great theory, its thought that twilight princess came after Majora's mask on the time line, because Link being a farm boy, and the Hero's Shading saying "Go forth and do not falter my child" the only person Link could marry in OoT/MM is Malon, she is the only one who isn't a sage/princess. Explaining why Link is a farm boy in TP
And I can disprove all of this with one very simple notion:
- Look at the back of Midna's helmet. It has the symbol of the Sheikah! Therefore either both were made by the Sheikah, or they have absolutely no relation to eachother.
Don't believe me? Transform into wolf link and with your backside glued to the wall as close as possible. If done correctly the camera should give you a full view of the back of Midna's helmet.
in my opinion i think majora WAS a human that had a lot of evil magic and that corrupted him/her i think that majora's incarnation and wrath mean somthing when majora was a human.
the incaration could mean that majora had some sort of playful nature and liked to toy with his/her enimes.
the wrath could mean that when human majora had a LOT of built up anger inside and that could have made him/her evil.
WOW! Nice evidence! I also found that when you are fighting the Majora creature, there is a symbol on the wall that looks like a simplified version of the Twilight portal! But that may just be me getting into your theory!
The hero's shade in Twilight princess has the mirror shield from majora's mask too, and the image of majora's mask appears to be burnt into a wall in the twilight overworld as well. Kinda makes you wonder, huh? (Though I honestly don't think that the zelda team was thinking that far ahead when they made MM, so if the evils in MM are from twilight, I'd say it was added ex post facto...)

The only gap in the Zelda universe is the so called "ancient ones". They are mentioned in ALttP as well, along with a war which I assume is the same referenced in Twilight Princess. Hoping for SS to give more hints for this and also a game which shows the so called ancient ones
may i just point out that the twilight realm existed in the kingdom of Hyrule while Majoras Mask took place in a parallel universe called Termina? the ancient ones could also be the Great fairies of magic because the skull kid when he was taken over by the mask busted them into 15 pieces, why would he do that? and many things were carried to other zelda games, like the songs, so i do not believe this is a good thoery also due to the fact MM came out BEFORE TP

A lot of similarities, good job and nice video... Yes the masks in Majora's Mask do resemble a bit and what about the Lens of truth? They allow you to see things the normal eye can't... Garo tribe does resemble Sant and they cannot be seen by mere humans... So yes. I'd say the Garo tribe is an ancient tribe and they were banished to the "Shadows". And did you notice in your fight against the mask, it has the same hair style as the Twilight have when you fight to open a new portal?
Mind BLOWN! the eye was probably the most convincing! though honestly its probably just similar art styles, its still very interesting! I remember playing MM and wanting to know more about the lost tribe. This definetly fills a gap in my mind...thought in all honestly, its probably not true.

make one 4 oot too cause: in oot at the end *SPOILER* ganon said before he was banished to the Evil Realm "someday once the seal is borken i will extirmanit you decendants" and TP takes place in the future, and hes banished to the "Evil Realm" and in TP he returns in the Twilight Realm, wich mean Evil realm and Twilight realms must be the same thing.... just a thought.
@girlsluvgir Actually what Ganondorf said "I'll exterminate your descendents" that happend in Wind Waker, while when in OOT in the end when Link is sent back, he tells Zelda of Ganondorf's plot and there the sages banish him to the twilight realm.
Not to mention there is a shape in a cliff of majoras mask in twilight princess. It would make sense the two games are close by on the zelda timeline.

The hero of shade is also known to be the same link in majoras mask because the hero shade said he was the choosen one but he failed and hero shade has the same equipment as link in majoras mask so it also that when he left termina he turned into a stalfos because people traveling in the lost woods without a fairy turn into a stalfos so the hero of shade is another resemplence of mm and tp
Very interesting theories... Gave me food for thought.... One such being the fact of the Oni mask that Majora itself gives to link. Quite a few theories around that mask in particular. Such as Majora's words of him being the villain when he wears that mask. Perhaps a referance to the dark nature of the twilight tribe. And on a note of the Garo tribe. Their all dead spirits of a "lost" civilization. Perhaps they are as noted even realitves of the twilight tribe... I could go on for a while...
I AGREE SO MUCH WITH THIS! I mean generally looking at the art style of both MM and TP, you can tell they've been made to give off a more eerie, creepy aura... maybe this is why TP was in the style that it was made in? Do give a hint to the players that Link is facing something similar to before.
I'm a little amused by some of the comments saying 'Well this game came out X amount of years after this one, so therefore it can't possibly be a viable theory.' The thing about the Zelda series is that there is literally no set timeline. Each game in the series is set in its own period separate from all the rest, with a few exceptions, such as OoT and Majora's Mask. Those are obviously linked together. WW also has some links to OoT and Majora's Mask, but they are tenous. Stupid character limit.
5:02 I don't think Garo is reffering to the Twilight, he can be hit by Child Link's Kokiri Sword. Zant is immortal to Adult Link's Ordon Sword, he only can be hit with the light infused Master Sword.
I agree the weapons they use are indeed the same, but their fighting styles are completely different.

Once you tie the pieces together it just makes sense There are too many similarities between the two to ignore obviously they are connected in some way, I hope the next Zelda game is some sort of sequel to Twilight Princess (Link is seen leaving his home town instead of coming back if you notice) that also intertwines with Majora's Mask seeing as how they both are in the child timeline.
Skyward Sword is the tale of origin of the Master Sword, let the next one be the origin of Majora's Mask! =)
my theroy is minda's helmet and the shadow mask are peices of majoras mask. example a. the eye on mindas helmet has majoras eye on it. example b. the shadow mask has the immense power of destruction. my pelief ids that possibly the three godesses were afraid this might happen again so they broke the mak and turned one part of it into a stone helmet that has no power and made the other peice be sealed with the power. thats just my thoughts so correct me if im wrong

my theory for that is thatwhen link wonders into the forest, he gets lost because it has been years since he has went into them(the events in Oot) he turns into a stalfos and goes to the king of ikana, keeping his promise to the giant stalfos thingie(forgot what he was called) he still has a stalfos mind, but the king plays the elegy of emptiness, and it empties link of all the evil in him (from the stalfos) and he gets the armor that you see tin TP. make sense?

You really do know your Zelda exceptionally well and you remember all the little details like the similarity in the eye structure of majora's and Midna's mask and the subtleties of her warping! The similarity between Zant and Garo are also interesting! But I can imagine that Nintendo used MM as inspiration for TP as it was the last major Zelda game they made! Man sometimes it really ticks me off when people don't understand the endnig og Majoras Mask, because it actually explanes alot. AND when people FORGET that Fierce Diety KILLED Majora and made a MASK out of his armor, good thory that Majora might be a Twili buuuuuuuuuuuut I'll guess we have to wait for skyward sword to be 100% sure

for one, I've seen the walkthrough for midna when she askes link to go look for a suitable bridge, and she simply....took it, and my guess is that majora as an entity was able to do the same. now if you really want to get under the covers, referring back to "a link to the past" there was a mirror that took link from in between the light world, and the dark world. maybe the dark world was the twilight realm maybe. So if majora ended up as a mask, then it should have left the other realm

A lot of similarities, good job and nice video... Yes the masks in Majora's Mask do resemble a bit and what about the Lens of truth? They allow you to see things the normal eye can't... Garo tribe does resemble Sant and they cannot be seen by mere humans... So yes. I'd say the Garo tribe is an ancient tribe and they were banished to the "Shadows". And did you notice in your fight against the mask, it has the same hair style as the Twilight have when you fight to open a new portal?

make one 4 oot too cause: in oot at the end *SPOILER* ganon said before he was banished to the Evil Realm "someday once the seal is borken i will extirmanit you decendants" and TP takes place in the future, and hes banished to the "Evil Realm" and in TP he returns in the Twilight Realm, wich mean Evil realm and Twilight realms must be the same thing.... just a thought.

The hero of shade is also known to be the same link in majoras mask because the hero shade said he was the choosen one but he failed and hero shade has the same equipment as link in majoras mask so it also that when he left termina he turned into a stalfos because people traveling in the lost woods without a fairy turn into a stalfos so the hero of shade is another resemplence of mm and tp

Very interesting theories... Gave me food for thought.... One such being the fact of the Oni mask that Majora itself gives to link. Quite a few theories around that mask in particular. Such as Majora's words of him being the villain when he wears that mask. Perhaps a referance to the dark nature of the twilight tribe. And on a note of the Garo tribe. Their all dead spirits of a "lost" civilization. Perhaps they are as noted even realitves of the twilight tribe... I could go on for a while...

I AGREE SO MUCH WITH THIS! I mean generally looking at the art style of both MM and TP, you can tell they've been made to give off a more eerie, creepy aura... maybe this is why TP was in the style that it was made in? Do give a hint to the players that Link is facing something similar to before.

I'm a little amused by some of the comments saying 'Well this game came out X amount of years after this one, so therefore it can't possibly be a viable theory.' The thing about the Zelda series is that there is literally no set timeline. Each game in the series is set in its own period separate from all the rest, with a few exceptions, such as OoT and Majora's Mask. Those are obviously linked together. WW also has some links to OoT and Majora's Mask, but they are tenous. Stupid character limit.

5:02 I don't think Garo is reffering to the Twilight, he can be hit by Child Link's Kokiri Sword. Zant is immortal to Adult Link's Ordon Sword, he only can be hit with the light infused Master Sword.
I agree the weapons they use are indeed the same, but their fighting styles are completely different.

Now the ancient ones that selaed the mask in shadow were the 3 goddesses of TERMINA. Not the hyrulean ones the counterparts.The goddesses of Termina feared a catastrophe would happen if they let this stone tower tribe use majoras mask in the wrong way so they FLIPPED stone tower temple upside down causing the mask AND the tribe to fall into HELL.

Once you tie the pieces together it just makes sense There are too many similarities between the two to ignore obviously they are connected in some way, I hope the next Zelda game is some sort of sequel to Twilight Princess (Link is seen leaving his home town instead of coming back if you notice) that also intertwines with Majora's Mask seeing as how they both are in the child timeline.
Skyward Sword is the tale of origin of the Master Sword, let the next one be the origin of Majora's Mask! =)

my theroy is minda's helmet and the shadow mask are peices of majoras mask. example a. the eye on mindas helmet has majoras eye on it. example b. the shadow mask has the immense power of destruction. my pelief ids that possibly the three godesses were afraid this might happen again so they broke the mak and turned one part of it into a stone helmet that has no power and made the other peice be sealed with the power. thats just my thoughts so correct me if im wrong

my theory for that is thatwhen link wonders into the forest, he gets lost because it has been years since he has went into them(the events in Oot) he turns into a stalfos and goes to the king of ikana, keeping his promise to the giant stalfos thingie(forgot what he was called) he still has a stalfos mind, but the king plays the elegy of emptiness, and it empties link of all the evil in him (from the stalfos) and he gets the armor that you see tin TP. make sense?

My my! Im impressed sir. This theory is quite sound. Very interesting. Loved the presentation as well. You really do know your Zelda exceptionally well and you remember all the little details like the similarity in the eye structure of majora's and Midna's mask and the subtleties of her warping! The similarity between Zant and Garo are also interesting! But I can imagine that Nintendo used MM as inspiration for TP as it was the last major Zelda game they made! Cool man~ off to look at the others
