OMG!! So THATS where that comes from! I like to say M M M M M ...ME! for a laugh. Now I remember I first heard it on Sesame Street. THANK YOU for the post.
My name is Martha and I LOVED LOVED LOVED this Sesame Street segment when I was a kid. I am so excited to have found it again. Thanks for posting it!!!
Marvelous Martha was one of my favorite Sesame Street bits when I was a child, but Martha didn't look so marvelous when she made that mad face though lol.
Another mmmarvelous mmmemory! Thanks, love2register! The part I remember most is when the bouncing ball is used to 'draw' the capital and lowercase M's. ('A straight line up, another one down...')
It's sad that some people consider this delightful cartoon "weird." Probably a generational difference. Those of us who grew up in the 70s grew up in a more innocent time. What's "weird" (and scary) to be is Grand Theft Auto.
Funny you should mention that, just yesterday I walked up to a Radio Shack (shopping for someone else I should mention), and they had a single sign on the door with three words: Grand Theft Auto.
I always saw those tiny 'm's in the mud and thought that was weird...why didn't they just draw mud??? But it's still a classic I'll always remember-thanks!
While it's sort of goofy it's still nice to see since it goes back to the shows early years and it's interesting to see how things looked at that time.
Martha, Slowly I turn, step by step.

This one is gold, and I'm not saying that because of the "medal" example either. Five stars (they don't make letter cartoons like they used to!).
