  • this dude has 0 control over his voice

  • i really dont' like how he sings this

  • Don't get me wrong, I freakin' LOVE this song, but isn't the band getting a little TOO into it for this particular song? The guy on the right looks like an epileptic.

  • @llamaman8888 That's probably why they kept his mic muted when he tried to back the lead singer lol

  • @llamaman8888 you can never get too into a song.

  • @kruges41 Touche'

  • spencer krug is so handsome i just want to take his clothes off and rub his sweat all over my body

  • nice^^

  • his voice sounds exactly like it does on the albums. not that it sounds all prettied up on them anyways but its such an awesome voice.

  • amaaaaazing song

  • Meaning to life? I think so.

  • lol there all so twitchy when they play.

  • I've met the drummer, (i think it was the drummer?) i know him personally, my mom works with his girlfriend, pretty chill dude, he is.

  • his voice is like BLAM. super spectacular.

  • I want the album funeral played at my funeral

  • @heyman231000 I second that!

  • if they play this at house of blues next week im going to cry.

  • This song is incredible. It doesn't soudn quite as good this time as in the recorded verson, but Spencer's voice is incredible in this one!! I saw them last night and his voice wasn't as good as in this one, the instruments were too loud. I also think they play it too quickly in this one, but it's still amazing.

  • the audience will believe anything played by an indie rock band is fantastic

  • @Skidhblanir

    Shut up.

  • @Skidhblanir

    This is actually fantastic though.

  • Drums sound terrible but still amazing

  • @Conaan70

Lol, I was thinking the same.

  • These guys make me proud to be in BC.

  • LOUDER DRUMSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

i want to hear the drums explode in the climax!

'oh look at the trees and look at my face and look at a place far away from here'

    these guys are phenomenal.

  • they're one of my favorite bands. and this song is completely amazing. but in my opinion, hearing this live totally sucks! they do have plenty of energy though.

  • busque mucho esta cancion y por fin la encontre,

la cancion se llama dinner bells de wolf parade

    saludos

(the song is dinner bells of wolf parade)

  • whatchu know bout them dual key skills

  • Woahhh when I saw the movements the guitar player was making, I thought he was Johnny Greenwood for a second.

  • indienerd...i prefer emo...bullshitsss

  • Is it me or do the band members seem a bit tame? Maybe it's the shitty crowd... They are coming to Los Angeles in july... YOU CROWD BETTER BE AWESOME!!! None of this faggity leaning and head bobbing!

  • imo this song shouldn't be sped up.. it should wash over you, not be pushed on you. but jesus christ is it good anyways...

  • a little faster than the original

  • this crowd sucks a dick

  • Amazing.

  • casey and his brother

  • How in the fuck does he do that with his voice?

  • @Terracotiancrepes

I heard that he was part native american. Maybe it comes naturally to him?

  • @kachimint hahahaha, Good reasoning... Never the less...I'm unbelievably jealous.

  • any idea what is the YAMAHA he's using??

  • whos coming the manchester academy on may 21st to watch them?

  • the fact the drummer is wearing a black flag shirt makes this even better

  • dude the guitarist is so fucking high

  • anyone know what he changes "look at the trees, and look at my face, and look at a place far away from here," to at 2:22

  • Same as on Spenc's Sunset Rubdown album version: "put it all up into the trees and into the sea and away from here."

  • good for Elvis then,

  • yea, and Elvis did a Pet Shop Boys cover

  • @poiazoo *facepalm* other way around

  • I have rocked out this great piece of music with fierce dancemoves ALOT..mostly alone..cause it containes alot of wild jumping up and down

  • i love how he drinks the beer then spits it out at the beginning

  • Do they play with a bassist live?

  • it sounds like he says Iche meh something like that maybe it's iche may

  • I was thinking give to me, and so on.

  • no, it's definitely not a Gretsch. Gretsch's always have the master volume knob just south of the neck when that guitar has all 4 volume/tone knobs in the standard spot, also it doesn't have the pickup selector on top that exists on all Gretsch hollowbodys. Finally his has covered humbuckers instead of the filtertron style that's on Gretsch's. (yes, i have no life, no need to point that out). Anybody know what type it is?

  • look up the lyrics.

  • i read in an online interview that wolf parade's favorite music right now is from a local chicago band called "tin tin can". i listened to some of their stuff and it's pretty good.

  • Pics or it didn't happen

  • what a lie!!!!

  • anybody know what kind of guitar he's playing? is that a les paul hollowbody or something?

  • looks like some kind of gretsch.

  • his voice is simply amazing!! löve this band!

  • No, it is way different he just sings that way.

  • So good! I love these guys! Yay, the new Sunset Rubdown album comes out today!

  • gotta love em

  • woah... the drummer's wearing a black flag shirt... nice.

  • Fantastic perfomance!

    Great band!

  • I really love this band. There's something almost Native American about the sounds. LOVE IT!

  • Check out Sunset Rubdown's album - Random Spirit Lover if you want to explore the influence. It's also on SR's latest - Enemy Mine, and on Wolf Parade's Mount Zoomer. You aren't imagining it!

  • greatest live show i've seen to date, cheers to kalamazoo 06

  • this band is awesome. period.

  • I don't know about you guys, but this live version is a whole hell of a lot better than the music video.

  • Oh yeah, for sure.

  • i totally agree

  • Are you kidding?! That's one of the best music videos ever! I'd love to know what you don't like about it.

  • The music video itself is cool and it has a message, however as far as audio performance, this live version kicks the music video version's ass.

  • Ah, gotcha! Thanks for the clarification.

  • love wolf parade but not diggin them live...

  • does anyone know what that ridiculous looking synth and the one that he plays the main weird melody on are?

  • i want to see them so bad

  • man... i like the song... but live.... man i just gotta say it sucks live hah

  • pitty that people under the stage look like that they hear this song for the first time and they probably do... Wolf parade are excelent!

  • get some indie friends.

  • quite genious :)

thx for the vid ... its awesome

  • not as good as the album, but still an awesome song

wolf parade blows away all those wannabe, rich-ass bands for sure

  • Anyway to get this amazing work of art on my Ipod?

  • you could rip the video? and then try and strip it of the audio and just listen to that

  • this band is too drum driven to have them so silent live, great song but it sounds like balls

  • why do people give thumbs down for honest opinions?

  • give me your eyes, i need sunshine!

  • I love Wolf Parade. <3

    Amazing.

  • this destroys ballistics gel.

  • I like his songs the best. This and Dear sons and daughters are my two favorite on the album. Prolly has something to do with how they flow into each other

  • One Of The Most Amazing Bands Of All Time.

  • Yeah I like this version a lot more. Less organized and seems less rehearsed. Real DIY sound

  • so true.

  • this song shook the concert hall where they played here several years ago, they are mesmerizing live.

  • Wolf parade IS good live!

(Which is an indicator of a very good and real band.)

  • They sound fucking great live!

  • one of my favourite songs, but i hope it sounds better live when i go see them next month

  • His voice reminds me of David Byrne.

  • Love this dudes voice, it's different. I like it that way, it's simply amazing.

  • Indie.

  • :* xd

  • lmao, you fucking retard zub.

  • why so serious, noob?

  • because i hate you.

  • loooool

  • Unsuccessful Troll is unsuccessful.

  • Emo never really existed, anyway.

  • uhh..? fuck you! This is indie rock son.

  • Art rock.

  • both i'd say

  • take it easy xd

  • wow this song gives me the chills everytime i listen to it

  • me 2

  • this is one of the best tunes ever

  • Live this song was godly, video not so good

  • this song galvanize me

  • Don't judge a band's live performance by a youtube video. Wolf Parade is INCREDIBLE live. Please, please go to a concert before you judge.

This video definitely seems off though.

  • i fucking love wolf parade. but...this sounded off from the start. like off key or something. but dont get me wrong, i love them!

  • I don't know what you're talking about... when I saw them live they were fucking awesome.

  • fuck no dude, they were amazing live

  • Did he just spit his beer out into the crowd? Fuck that, I wouldn't even take that from Jim James.

  • Fuck you.

  • oh, ok poop12345. what was I thinking. clearly I was sitting around waiting for poop12345 to correct me. thank you for lighting the way, poop12345

  • I get to see them in 16 days in Austin! (6/24). I sure hope they fit this song into their Mt Zoomerful setlist. Or id would be really cool if they did it as an encore like they did at the end of 07 not too long ago. I would pay the 23 dollar ticket price just to see them perform this song! And for the jackass that says they suck live... PLEASE ATTEMPT TO COMPOSE THAT. Please. Just try, I dare you. Then post your results so we can all point and laugh at you. Dork

  • sorry 7/24*** too much vino.

  • 7/24 date is in dallas not austin

  • they played almost every song from apologies and mt zoomer when i saw them last week.

  • Yup, went last night 7/25 in Austin and they played most of their song. It was a packed house. I think they really enjoyed all of the fans. They smiled and thanked us a lot. They encored with this song, and it was one of the best versions I've heard. It was amazing. Their guest opener, Wintersleep was also very good.
