Listen I still don't know if any one administration can transform education, but let's start with an honest, comitted, articulate, think on his feet president like Barack Obama. Lead on Barack.
I went to public school under the no child left behind act. You verbalized every frustration I had with our broken education system. Comparing every child to the same standard is the worst thing you can do to a child's moral because everyone is strong in different areas.
I hate No Child Left Behind and this has been my biggest disagreement with Obama. But, because I trust his judgement I wanted to give this idea a chance. Now, I understand that he sees value in not just throwing ideas out. Instead of focusing on discarding and trashing, Obama focuses on improving and aiding. That's my type of President.
What a fantastic speech.

Barack Obama reminds me of Bobby Kennedy. Which is a very good comparison. I know who my vote's going to for the next Presidential Election.
Rock the vote Obama!

We need compulsory completion of High school now we need to lead the world again. There is no reason to drop out of High School.
over %75 of prisoners are HS Dropouts, check out the census for exact #s
a completed high school diploma is the first step to reducing poverty and crime.

I hope that Obama can do something about all of the black men who are headed for the prison system in our country.

Hopefully ANY President (whatever their colour) would be able to do something about that situation.
Either way, in my own personal opinion, thats a problem that begins in the home. Not much a President can do about that.

I enjoy hearing Obama's thoughts on education. I believe this is a very important topic, because the U.S. is on the fast track to "idiocracy."
