  • Great to have the oldest continuous reg in the city that started, and ended the war that conceived the regiment :)

  • Who are the morons in hi vis?

Yellow vests - beloved of little hitlers everywhere...

  • I wonder what the second march is! Has such a good sound.

  • @jeremytravers1 I think it's The Standard of St George.

  • @jeremytravers1 1st march is with sword and lance"..the mach off is army of the nile"

  • I can't listen to "Puttin' On the Ritz" without out thinking of Young Frankentein... MUHMUHMUH MUH MUUUUH!

As a Northumbrian (and someone who failed to join the army due to medical reasons - damned smahsed knee!), the Coldstream has a special place in my heart. Seen them a few times locally and they always put on a great band.

  • @NilMortifey I know what you mean about "Puttin' On the Ritz", I love that movie.

  • What was the song they played on the march out?

  • Droitwich FTW

  • @mrcreedy how by hell could you compare the coldstreamguards with the buggers of nazis.

  • The oldest regiment (in continuous service) formed to support a democracy that overthrew a dictator and then marched to quell civil disorder and then support King Charles 2nd.. this amazing regiment has fought in almost every theatre of War including two recent tours to afghan (5 dead/36 injured) and you compare them to Nazis.!!??!! as a former member of the regiment I can tell you all marching music stirs the soul and helps soldiers march with pride, retaining ancient traditions. 2nd to none

  • This is the HOT band of the Guards Division now with their release of HEROS under their director of music Graham Jones. The name Coldstream Guards has a certain magic to it, but the other band of the Guards Division are just as good in their own right as this one. With the reductions in army music the Guards bands really are the core of army music now. The band recently toured the USA in 2008 with the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards who have also come out with recent CD releases that are popular.

  • worcester is great because its still British

  • wow, loving the security. if that was london there would be about 400 police officers

  • loving Indiana Jones!

  • i live in worcester!

  • Awesome.

  • they look like the scots guards

  • Definately the Coldstream Guards Band. Defining features include buttons in pairs on the front of the tunic, buttons in pairs on the cuffs, buttons in pairs on the reverse of the tunic below the belt and a garter star badge on the collar. The most obvious point is the plume in the bearskin, in the case of the coldstreams, red.

  • :0 o.0 xD

  • I like the compilation of John Williams' marches.

  • Amazing....

That is all that comes to mind.

  • I want to visit England so bad!!!

  • @meganalo You don't. It's a pretty miserable place in all honesty, and the people suck too.

  • Very nice video! And very good music.

  • Hahaha that cracked me up, thanks!

  • i walk past it all the time too

  • I walk passed that place everyday nearly. Guild hall :P.

  • i live there :)

  • Me too, well I used to live in the city and now I'm in a village just outside the city.

  • just noticed that at the end of this vid the data says 'august 9th 2003' was it an american who posted this by any change? as am sure u no but in england we say 9th august 2003. its my home town worcester great place not usually like this tho :P

  • I was hoping no one would spot that. It was a mistake when I originally edited the video and I forgot to correct it when I re-edited and uploaded it to YouTube, If you look at my other video which is of Trooping the Colour you will see that the date is in the correct British format. Yes I am British and live in Worcester.

  • arrr thanx for the reply good vid :D cheers!

  • not usualy my thing but really very good, a lot of respect to those guys there awsome!!

  • damn, missed this, ironically because I was at military school at the time.

  • Hah isn't that just typical.

  • Your video clip is great and I've rated it as awesome. Please check out mine on regimental uniforms through the ages. It includes the Coldstream Guards and many other regiments.

  • For the one who said Coldstreams are the oldest regiment, sorry to dissappoint, but the senior regiment of the line is PWRR. We trace our roots back to the trained bands of London when they were called to defend Algiers from Moorish invaders, that was back in about 1640. Sorry but I'd hate there to be a slight on my regiment. Honi soit qui mal y pense.

  • Sorry but the quote I gave states that the Coldstreams are "one of the oldest regiments" and does not state that they are actually the oldest.

  • Sorry, my misreading.

  • for oldest try Honourable Artillery Company then Life Guards, Grenadier Guards or Royal Scots 1632?

  • coldstream?

    wheres that?

    nice video btw

  • The Coldstream Regiment was formed in 1650 by George Monck, a General in Oliver Cromwell's "New Model Army" and can therefore claim to be one of the oldest regiments in the world. In 1661, shortly after the restoration of the monarchy, they were re-commissioned by King Charles II as Household Troops and from the town of Coldstream which lies just inside Scotland near Berwick-Upon-Tweed where it was first formed. Info courtesy of the official site.

  • Do you happen to know all the theme songs the Guards are playing? I think I recognized the Indiana Jones Theme, Darth Vader's Theme from Star Wars, and the openning Olympic Games Theme?

  • In this video the Guards play a variety of movie themes.
