No, it's West Timor - Timor-Leste is the name for East Timor. West Timor is indeed very poor, which just shows how Indonesian development in East Timor was exaggerated. I've travelled on both sides of the border - and the West is not much better off than the East.

West Timor has many problems of poverty because Jakarta (Indonesian government) never pay attention well for West Timorese. They came to west timor just to steal our sandellwood (kayu cendana). West Timor National University namely: UNIVERSITAS NUSA CENDANA, but actually, our cendana, stolen by Jakarta already. Now, West Timor is the poorest province of Indonesia. And, let us help West Timor, because, West Timor remember it's another part of Timor Island (East Timor).

An example of extreme lack of education. Where are the Mosques, the Imams, & leaders? The very soul of a people is their education. this tragedy is brought about by stupidity; not lack of food, just look at the parents!
