  • Hi there, I was wondering if you could help me euthanize a fish? I understand your video had comments disabled for obvious reasons, but I was wondering if I could just use clove oil? I am underage to get alcohol, so that's really not an option. Thanks!

  • Some of the most effective protests are the ones that are not seen or even participated in.

What I mean by this is for example even as something as simple as a bumper sticker that says ‘free the animals’ or ‘end the dolphin slaughter’ because it gets embedded in people's sub consciousness and it works trust me.

  • Just like a commercial you see on TV or a jingle you hear on the radio. People might look at that bumper sticker think nothing of it but maybe after a couple of days they might say to themselves “you know I wonder what that bumper sticker that said free the dolphins is about?” than they may Google it to find out more, which is the first step in the three major steps in helping to reduce and end animal suffering worldwide.

  • To inform educate then participate. You inform a person about an issue because how can anyone do something to stop it if they don’t know what’s going on then yo educate them about the situation then the practical methods are implemented in helping to fix the problem ie political advocacy direct action.

  • Another example is when I wore my Sea Shepherd jersey working in this warehouse and another worker said to me “what’s that on your shirt? sea shepherd? I’ve never heard of them” and I said “they’re a marine conservation group” and he said “hadn’t heard of them before I’ll check them out”. So it works.

  • I also think while it’s important to be gentle and non persuasive in protesting and changing hearts and minds. God damn it though! sometimes when you see horrific cruelty such as Huntington Life Sciences and they’re abuses of beagles because they’re gentle and trusting animals.

  • You can try and exercise all diplomatic avenues but if that fails you take that fucking axe! you break that fucking door down! and you get them the fuck out of there! because it’s the right thing to do! as a member of the human race, because all those ideals of morality and compassion mean nothing if you don’t do something?

  • I agree Niki. As you probably notice, people like to put us in the "crazy people" or extremist catagory, and I believe a big part of this is because of potestors that refuse to use your most valuable tips, which are to approach the situation kindly, calmly, and politely, without megaphones and shouting.

  • Depending on where you protest, it's always a good idea to get in contact and let them know you're coming - for example when we did a dolphin slaughter protest, we had to let the Japanese Consulate know we were coming.

We used a Japanese flag with a person covered in fake blood, and they called the police and told them to tell us to stop it because it was offensive. So it's also generally a good idea to be the better person and stop confrontation before it happens.

  • start a riot !

  • Thank you!
