  • I believe that Captain was trying to get his boat up on two wheels!

  • "It's a trap! Take evasive action."

  • Size of that flag... lol

  • Bet the guys at attention were noobs and fell off half way through the turn. LOL

  • im unfamiliar with the modern ships could any one say what the name and class of ship that turning in this vid

  • @thedoubledeus Its DDG 66 USS Gonzalez . a guided missile destroyer. the video was took from a carrier during a family day cruise where family members can come onboard for a day at sea with the crew. The destroyer was making a hard turn for a little entertainment and routine drills

  • either thats a tinyass ship or the biggest flag i have ever seen

  • It's funny how the guys on deck half of them are standing at attention and the other half at ease haha

  • drifting

  • The guy talking *IS* actually a cartoon, he's not really human.

  • they were practicing for nascar

  • I dropped my nokia 3310 in the ocean ... they were evading it.

  • Everyone still on board?

  • That thing has a better turning radius than a chevy truck!

  • DAMN RIGHT THEIR SHOWING OFF!!!!

  • I don't think I could turn my Toyota Corolla that fast! Impressive!

  • let's go waterskiing!

  • Those people on the bow, they're vomiting, aren't they?

  • Such an ugly ship

  • @KatiushaVN4 I don't think it was designed to be pretty.

And what exactly is a good looking ship?

  • @StalkingRainbow

Not ugly to me, pretty slick looking craft.

  • @KatiushaVN4 When compared to the rust buckets of the other Navies of the world, it's a beauty queen.

  • And who said he can't turn this boat on a dime

  • @gatekeeper2012 Ship. A boat is a submarine in the Navy. Someone had to correct you, may as well be me lol.

  • Did you say "All it needs is some steers?"

  • @HRRutz skiers

  • @bobberlee ahhhh, okay

  • awsum ship

  • Making a turn that sharp cost $12,000.00

  • @Lightboxes Why's that?

  • Wakeboarding anyone?

  • And the JO driving had a serious boner...trust me.

  • 1"30 that is what she said

  • He called it a BOAT!!!

  • stbe ahead flank, port back full, left full rudder ! DDG-66 :D

  • All ahead flank, make your rudder hard to port and hold the fuck on

  • Coming back for chicken? Are all the sea men black?

  • I can only imagine what it was like standing on the bow "at ease" during the entire turn, including when they ran over their own wake. That would make for a rough ride.

  • and across the line!

  • love the size of the flag

  • @jas47679 That was their airfoil. They turn twice as tight with an Old Glory that size. Haha!

  • awesome!

  • I thought the navy guys were gonna fall off and judging by the gap in the line when they were coming back it looks like they might have.

  • seems like shallow water to me!!!

  • He's pullin' a Crazy Ivan!

  • This may be a stupid question, but why do small boats lean into a turn but ship lean out?

    I guess it's the weight?

  • @bigredc222 most small boats are light, so the thrust from either the engine turning (outboard), or the z-drive means that this thrust can actually push the "bottom" of the thing outward, which means they lean into a turn - heavier boats and large ships are indeed weighed down so they lean out of a turn. T

  • @bigredc222 A ship heels because a coupling of Sway, Yaw and Roll cause a change in the relation between the Cof G and the Metacentric height (which is usually at or above the waterline) , while acting against the fluid forces below the waterline. Small boats do not have a) a metacentre as such and b) do not usually have much under water so no fluid forces. In other words Yes...weight does have a lot to do with it

  • Twin screws, been there for the rockin' and rollin'....thank heavens for the steel beach picnics to help keep our sanity. bbq. skeet shooting. me passing around booze to the seLect few. fishing poles off the aft end....there's so much I miss about that damn life experience...can't believe I wanted out so damn bad. Shitty supervisors, that's what it was.

  • @CampyNeighbor Amen to that last line. All of them, actually.

  • you sound like kermit the frog

  • @Grieve117 hahahahahaha

  • @Grieve117 he is kermit the frog!

  • @Grieve117 funniest comment ever!

  • put both ships to dry dock and ground the crew.

  • woman on the bow and a wake that turdles a civilian.

  • Thats alot of jet fuel just to show in front of a cruise ship.

  • Ahhhh... excuse me but what you "newbies" call a ships wake, we SAILORS call "A prop wash or Rooster Tail aft". I'm just sayin'! LOL

  • Cap'n drifting for the chix

  • Thats what I call a naval drift maneuver! XP

P/S: I bet many new sailor will get seasick after that... XD

  • they forgot to pick up the captain

  • Tsunami generator...

  • Nice ship

  • they turned around because they were about to enter chuck norris waters

  • @commandokell Norris is old. Many can kick his butt now.

  • @chrisschene Now? He use to get his ass kicked all the time at martial art championships. The guy was never a good fighter. These kids are just tools.

  • @commandokell lol

  • @commandokell What a stupid but genius comment, if i'm allowed to say ;D

  • Whopppeee!

  • Damn, never seen something that massive make such a tight turn in such a short time.

Hitting that with an unguided torpedo would be really difficult.

  • very nice

  • Sea water Abuse! (can you imagine the pounds of stress on the rudder?!)

  • And you thought the military only practiced "drifting" with land vehicles!!!!

  • @Orca40 If I had to take a guess, it was probably a Tiger Cruise. There's civilians on the carrier (you can see a boy at one point), so usually they'll put on a show involving the other ships, and they'll do some cool flights with the jets too. Just a little something to showcase to the civilians what our assets can do. I'd say they were pretty impressed ;-)

  • Nothing I like to see more than an awesome ship with the American flag proudly flying.

  • LOL the co wanted to see if he can get the cruise liner rocking I bet.

  • Lol advanced american stealth ship, audible from other side of planet -.- I have sore ears, seriously... 2:05-2:06 you can see the holes in the ship where the water is either leaking out or being pumped out -.-... And it doesn't even look like it is going fast... And torpedoes turn faster...

  • @iamjacobnz All ships have those holes. :)

  • @iamjacobnz (Poor, dumb Fucktard from New Zealand)

  • yep, it got away, all right.

  • alright then its a fast ship will yall please stop replying on meeeee

  • ha Cause life is a game

  • Dubstep is prolly roaring on the bridge speakers as the guy on the con is thinking, "Yeah I can drift a fucking destroyer, so what?"

  • it is showboating, that's all.

  • Those things use fuel like a motherfucker! shiiiiiit!

  • that is amazing

  • Kermit the frog on the mic?

  • US Navy doing some drifting!

  • if only the titanic had that turning circle...

  • quick the skippers cap's gone overboard we need to go back and get it

  • why that thing move so slow on the water Is that its top speed?

  • @30sectodeath The top speed of the ships are classified to say the most i can is 30+ knots... however as far as i can see that is pretty fricking fast for something that weighs 9,000+ tons and is cutting through water!

  • @30sectodeath and when you are on it it doesn't seem too slow at all an unexpected manuever like that could toss someone up against the bulkhead and seriously injure them. That's why they always make an anouncement if they are going to do it!

  • @30sectodeath You might as well ask yourself what's heavier, air or water? A substantial portion of the boat is under the water surface, and it basically needs to break through water to move around. Just run sometime, and you'll understand what I mean when "wind" hits you even though there's no wind. Also that is a fairly quick vessel, just think of how far away it is. You don't call airplanes slow even though they seem to stay in your viewzone for a considerable amount of time.

  • @30sectodeath your joking right? "is that its top seed"

  • @30sectodeath Trust me. If you were in a little 30 footer out there fishing and that beast whipped around you like that, or worse bore down on you at over 30 mph (yeah yeah kts); you'd need to change pants, socks and shoes.

  • "oh snap men hold on!! the capt forgot something!!"

  • Nice! That boat looks pretty top-heavy. Impressive maneuver.

  • "High speed sinking demonstration XD"

  • I salute the engineers that designed the ship..and the ballsy commander of the ship

  • I was on the Eisenhower for that underway. It was my first underway on that ship.

  • Y'all bird farmers are acting like this was unusual...for us tin can guys, this was just a day in life...Spent 7 years active and was on 2 Perry Class Frigates and a Spruance Class Destroyer. All 3 of them would fit on the the flight deck of the Eisenhower and still have room to walk around. Guess you guys just aren't used to high speed maneuvers on the water. And yes, we could probably have skied behind them...25+ knots.

  • yep not bad not bad.

  • These Burke Class could be run like PT boats, they were designed to out maneuver enemy vessels, and catch them of guard and engage them. These girls were work horses of the navy.

  • "Hang on tight, boys!"

I think I could hear the gas turbines ringing in the background, but I'm not certain.

  • Impressive. I like the Burke Class destroyers. The skipper was running her like a PT Boat lol.

  • hrm I'm just a small town girl looking for some big city fun

  • "they're coming back for chicken"

  • @HDAVI3S thats wacist!

  • @AdminsAnonymous LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's the crockery knackered.....

  • i wanna try that action my fishboat :P highspeed turn and sink fast :=)))) Good bye...

  • i am studying the war in the south pacific.names such as chester nimitz thomas c kinkaid and william f halsey were pioneers in us.navy force projection around the world.units like the marine raiders were created at this time special operations behind enemy lines .i have a lot of shock and awe when it comes to the us navy.

  • dont even look like its doing full power eaither.... it look a little heavy, maybe topped off with fuel

  • @imthatguy223 I was on the old Sprucan (USS Spruance DD-963) and we could run rings around AB DDG's and in a turn and outrun them in a straight line. Old cans aren't bad cans...loved my old Sprucan.

  • @seanboud Spruances were great ships. Burkes are too. Spruances would have been great to have now to bad those basterds sank them all so no one could use them.......

  • @seanboud I hear ya brother. I sailed on the USS Dahlgren DDG-43 myself.

  • Excellent

  • Damn that's a sharp turn...

  • DEAR SANTA!!....

  • skiing anyone XD?

  • wahhehe, OMG quick to the starboard side. the ship is listing.

  • @alfieloverovelyn It's portside, not star.

  • only one word....Awesome... which clas warship is that ???

  • @aberhan8 Arleigh Burke Destroyer.

  • Arleigh Burke class fuck yeah.

  • NO SHIT!

  • That ship and flag are truly a beautiful sight! Thanks!!!

  • so did some seamen have some semen coming out?

  • (U turn): EVERYBODY TO THE OTHER SIDE SO THAT THE BOAT WOULDN´T FLIP!

  • lol " There coming back for chicken"

  • that flag is beautiful

  • @stuckinthecities thinking the same thing

  • Wait, we forgot the captain! U turn!

  • So this is DDG-66 USS Gonzalez? Interesting. I have a cousin who's currently serving on DDG-64 USS Carney.

  • Ive seen the USS Phil Sea do a turn twice as sharp, looked like it was going under

  • just imagine wakeboarding behind that would be like

  • guys looks like we missed the turn i thinks peopel on that ship are going to call the ship the Uboat

  • While the rest of the country is trillions of dollars in debt, our armed forces are busy wasting millions in fuel, "just seeing what she can do captain"

  • @GypsysRoad shut up hippie.

  • 15 marines fell off during that maneuver and went stright into turbine engine..rip

  • @ILoveyssup Well thats there fault for standing on the edge of the boat with no guide rail during that manouvre.

  • Man if i had my zodiac i would hit that wake

  • thanks for the post, Sailors do have more fun :-)

  • what's with this religious god hates america debate going on? did nobody hear that science actually death-blowed religion in like, may?

  • SHE"S TURNING HARD BUBBA!

  • made in China because the U.S. don't produce any goods if they do it' very little. That's way there is so, much unemployment in the U.S. At least 65 % of the U.S. is owned by China. China is a strong enemy of the U.S. and they don't like Americans . That's why they lend them money so, the can own the U.S. That's not including the military power that China has.

  • @bronx7542 65% of the US is not owned by China. It's owned by the U.S.

  • @bronx7542 china not a threat to the USA, its just an annoying littles asian country. idiot

  • Comment removed

  • The U.S. has forsaking the"Lord Jesus Christ" and as a result of that the U.S. is no longer a supper power. They the U.S . have been turned over to there real enemy" China"by God. No more will Jesus have mercy on the United States of America. The U.S. will be a defeated foe in the eyes of the world the last two wars confirms that. Sad to say.

  • @bronx7542 Let's use your logic. Jesus has abandoned America to their enemy as a result of America 'abandoning Jesus', yes? Why would he be giving them to a nation of Communists with a government policy that stands against religion? Wouldn't he be making a place like Iran the new superpower instead?

  • @griffinpage No. The real Super Power is China. Iran is fixing to get wiped out by Israel if they continue messing with Israel. Israel is God's nation and he will support Israel even if they don't accept him "Jesus" The Israel's military history has proven that. But, the U.S is turn over to China for Judgement. The U.S. owes China 64trillion dollar in which the Americans will never see the end of that amount of money. Then to make things worst they depend on all the goods "Continue"

  • @bronx7542 Why would your God choose China, is what I'm asking? How does China do anything for him? Why would he give a nation which may seem to be 'slowly turning away from him' and all their power over to a nation which has no interest in ever worshipping him, or pretending to?

  • @griffinpage God choose who he wants to choose for Judgement . He choose China because China is the only Country capable of inflecting pain on the U.S. We see it know how the U.S. owes China 164 trillion dollars and they the U.S.A can't pay that money back. 64 percent of the U.S.A is owed by China. But, More judgement yet to come. This is just the beginning, there still more to come. The U.S. economy is never going to recover it's only going to get worse.

  • @bronx7542 fuck you

  • @rayzordee same to you pale.

  • @bronx7542 Sucker, you actually bought our debt. didn't the Japanese buying CA in the 80s-90s not teach you anything?! haha

  • @cheesehawk Still the main debt, is with China. China wants to lend more money to European Nations to have more leverage on them. Basically, they want to control the world economically .

  • @bronx7542 164 trillion dollars? whered you get that from? we owe them less than a trillion

  • @princeoffools1 Less then a Trillon! That's what you think.

  • @bronx7542 we owe 13 trillion total. china owns 8% of our total debt. its math troll

  • @princeoffools1 8% yea right. unfortitely you are wrong.

  • @bronx7542 You are not addressing my question. Why would he bring America down and raise China up, if his reason for bringing America down is because America is failing to worship him properly? Your idea makes no sense whatsoever.

  • @griffinpage To address your question, America has done a lot of evil that we don't know about But , God does. America has forsaken God and God is using China for judgment. It's very simple he uses who ever he want to use for Blessing or for Judgment.

  • @bronx7542 Why is it all the times any thing anywhere hapens, "GOD" is responsible? nothing happens? GOD wanted it...Bad things Happen? GOD had SATAN do it. good things happen? GOOOOOOOOOOOD Did it...

Isn't it suspiciously strange that the World works and looks exactly like a world, where no Supreme being exists?

A Pair of Hands at work, do more good that a Thousand Pair of Hands clasped in Prayer.

  • @bronx7542 God doesn't know anything because there is no God. There is only Zuul.

  • @MadMilitiaMen That go's to show how stupid you are spiritually and physically . You have no IQ what so ever. You are a perfect example of ignorance.

  • @bronx7542 Whoa man, bible must not be as educational as we are led to believe. How can one be stupid in a physical sense? You can be stupid mentally, possibly spiritually if you believe in a dude with excess facial hair that grant wishes, restores vision, and turn shit into wine. Do they even have spirituality in the bronx?

  • @MadMilitiaMen It's no use to wast my valuable time with a person with an IQ of a baboon. Sorry, my time is too valuable to waste.

  • @bronx7542 Says the guy that would rather waste valuable time with a fake god from a fairy tail. Yep no waste there. haha
