  • you have some great stuff here

  • some great inforamtion here thanks

  • love the video man

  • some sweet info here

  • Telsa is great, but it has be called upon for use via the program. Which almost none do. So it's pretty pointless for a gaming computer.

  • one thing thats hilarious even with a average person reporting this in the simplier terms that she can understand the people who would be watch this from there tv still don't LMAO.

  • wooo.. its huge..

  • I'd have though most people read a book one word at a time. She must be a genius if she can read one page at a time.

  • @matt9741399 I think she was making a direct reference to memory paging and used that term instead of word.

  • i'd love to see your mamma-grams!!!

  • This Video came out on my birthday (:

  • While it was cool to see this stupid broad tell me things I like it was said in such a ridiculous way. It is obvious she knows nothing.

  • .. that card is not made for video games dumbass!.

  • HELL YEAH! MIRROR'S EDGE! Oh, cool graphics card too.

  • too bad it is costing a rocket to buy that

  • year but one card cost more that a 8core mac pro

  • great game by the way

  • ive uploaded data through a c1060 dual omg the fans sped up and the lights dim o.O BRUTAL!!!!!

  • Why does she keep talking about video games? Tesla cards are not for gaming.

  • :O She got to touch a Tesla card. Hehe Jks.

  • @Nvidiaguides

    Director: Cut! Thats a wrap!

Lady: Looks both ways, slowly slips the card into her coat, and drives away.

    lol

  • Can it run crysis though?

  • tesla GPU can run crysis at 1000 FPS

  • @VALVEGAMER20

No it cannot. They're just re branded gaming cards. Video games take a hell of alot more processing power than you might expect and that's why using that technology in another field yields such good results. The newest Tesla is a re branded GTX 470 based on the Fermi architecture which runs crysis at about 40-50Fps. The Tesla card and the GeForce card would get very similar results.

  • @mit871chell

Well... Considering they don't have any outputs haha... I don't think it'd be very enjoyable even if it could.

  • lol mirrors edge is not a high end game at all. they should have gave a better example like crysis.

  • @killgates1

    21 november, 2008...

  • I got three of these to use with my system for my engineering work. helps ALOT.

  • @Idtelos

I have researched this card FOREVER and can't seem to find an answer, I use 3d autocad and renders and animations take unreasonably long, Will this card speed up all applications that currently rely on the CPU or only applications that were programmed to take advantage of CUDA? thanks.

  • @justinhhhfan

If you have the proper plug ins that support its use them go for it if your work is time sensitive and you got a lot of projects that need to be done in a certain amount of time. 3DS max is the same way and it takes ages even on the best of cpus out there.

  • MONO Sound.. Or My Right Ear Cant Hear Anymore

  • @Dtoxicative haha same here, its mono

  • @Dtoxicative put it in 240p

  • @Dtoxicative LOL.

  • tesla

  • too late i have 4 of them -_-" fun for calculating Rainbow tables XD!!

  • Wow,how come i bought a Intel Core 2 Quad When a TESLA CUDA is Already AVAILABLE?

  • @mediaharvester u must be a dumbass, see when that video was posted...

  • "Boobs - the way they're meant to be scanned"

  • How come almost nobody talks about this card in internet..?

  • because its fucking expensive.

  • @UntakenNick because when i talk about it, i either get A: they either dont believe you or b: you go over everyones head with unified architectural code... so its not really stalked about.. and @blackpianist.. you're a dumbass, this is the cheapest way to go beyond going straight to cray and getting a super computer.. idiot, lol, and nick, if you have any questions, feel free to ask someone with a tesla.. later

  • This would be excellent for editing software. Would love to try my hand in Photoshop, Illustrator, Vegas, or Audacity.

  • @Clymaxx illustrator cant use it, vegas requires a plugin, as does photoshop. audacity is crap anyway, i would never insult my tesla with that shit, lol

  • @williamkendrick lol Oh. Crap. Too bad. Sound awesome anyway. I'm sure this will revolutionize 3-D rendering though.

  • @Clymaxx it already has, and its only getting better.. directx11 takes full advantage of the C unified Driver Architecture. and its only the beginning.. it works well with stream processing stuff, like adobe cs4, poser, etc, there are plugins coming out for all sorts of titles on the pc, not having a THING to do with gaming.

  • Stop blabbering so much, and goddamn unleash it's powers on Crysis!

  • uhh, mirrors edge is piss easy to run, i run it at like 70 FPS full settings, crysis however.....

  • I was going to say "duh, parallel architecture, what's new about that" then I saw the 960 cores and 3732 teraflops written on the board behind her.

  • Dear folk open your eye,

Intel and IBM = New World Order

Follow them won't make a better future world~~~

  • finally someone else that is awake, all this technology is to better control us during the new world order, but the rest of us are just too dang distracted to notice so what the hell minus well join in, Go Nividia! ill be purchasing one of these cards soon : )

  • Was I the only one that noticed the lady laying on the bed had a huge tit sticking through the hole in the table. What if your flat chested. Is the doctor gonna say theres no room for breast cancer in your tit ma'am. Hows the card compared to GeForce GTX295.

  • Damn Intel release New Technology slow like turtle, Human Race can't wait anymore.

    NVIDIA Rock!

  • Nvidia sucks, because it steals everything from other companies.

  • So You love to burn your money and give away to Intel?

You love to upgrade every year, yeah right!

  • My computer is from amd and it's 7 years old.

  • AMD K6-3 = Pentium MMX

    AMD Athlon Slot A = Pentium 3 Slot 1

AMD Athlon XP = Pentium 3 Socket 370

    AMD Athlon 64 = Pentium 4 Socket 478

AMD Phenom II = Still Pentium 4 Socket 478 not even LGA775 or 1156 and 1366!

AMD just use Intel abandon platform to enhanced it only~~~

  • im suprised you had enough computer power to load this website and actually post

  • I can play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on it as well.

  • hey i dont mind upgrading every year, im giving Hyundai a big fat check every month for car payment so whats the big problem, life cost, hobbies cost too thats life

  • @Micronerd1 its idiots like you that make supply and demand go crazy. get a head dude. the more you pay the more they think that we will pay grand prices. i never paid for my tesla, it was part of a beta.

  • well if all the graphics companies joined forces there would be one big super bad a#$ company that would think of everything and combine ideas and would rock! but hey thats life..

  • what the f*** needs this much computing power?

  • research scientists, certain people in the medical industry, independent researchers. its not for the average dickhead, sitting at home in front of his pc.

  • thatbastardson,,,, nicely said xD

  • Comment removed

  • @thatbastardson you can thank that avg dickhead, for providing the market for advanced gpus like this ever to be built in the first place.

  • @thatbastardson

Actually you will be surprised how many people who ended up getting one for their workstations doing physics calculations and modeling. For time sensitive work these cards can pay for them selves in just a few projects.

  • @thatbastardson

I don't think standing in front of sales is a good idea.

  • @thatbastardson i know its a year ago but.... challenge accepted

  • @thatbastardson This is for the average joe who has nothing to do with complex computing. In fact it can be used as a PhysX stupidly complex games like Mafia 2.

  • @megadaniel25:

The woman already answered your question.

Watch the video and listen carefully before you ask stupid questions, okay?

  • ok jackass

  • Research labs and the like. It lets them test large scale project extremely fast and in a small, desktop size project. Tesla computers can actually be used for every day use. If you have the 6grand - 9grand to buy one.

  • ME!!!!!!!!

  • gtx80 - cards r boring

  • its not "K oo da", , its " C"you"da"

  • Are they using a GTX 295 to scan tits? awesome, couldn't you just use hands?

  • They're using Tesla processors.

  • I can lend my pair of breast scanners to them for a fraction of the price which could be bundled with ovary endoscopy.

  • hahaha...just US$ 9.995??

    XD

    vlwzxx..

  • for the complete entry package yes, but the cards are actually a couple of grand each. 3 years and they are $350. requires programs to be written with the cuda framework.

  • my Nvidia GeForce GTX260 comes with CUDA o.o that means I get a slice of that computing power, right?

  • You CANNOT use this for games !!! YOU CANNOT, ZERO rated !

  • Um not true, the tesla card could be used to give a finer art layer to a game. In a game if you moved closer to to a charctor small features like the hair and eyes could be given more reality. The cuda concept in fact in a game could do many things that are non graphics and non physics related to add an extra layer on magic to the game through non standard processor work usually performed with a GPU.

  • I would never buy such very expensive thing for games in 1st place.

  • Year you win but Cuda does run on modern nvidia cards, Cuda like software on the next windows will let all the GPUs do more including integrated ones on the motherboard or CPU or both so it is a change.

  • Don't forget Intel and AMD will start to put GPUs right on CPUs, of course at start it will not be that great, but in future perhaps. I dunno how much CUDA will succeed or not, it has a long way to go, when they start to put functions right on OS using CUDA (e.g. Windows HPC, Linux, etc) then it will be a success for sure.

  • dude,

    1. it can be used for gaming, because it runs windows.

    2. that probably wont happen anytime soon because of limitations but yes, that is the holy grail of electrical computing, for it all to be on a single compact chip.

    3. quantum computers will super seed all in 30 years.

  • hang on, simply because it functions within windows does not mean it will help run any games. the C1060 is just a highly advanced CPU fitted on a PCI-e bus. just because it goes where a GPU goes doesn't mean it does what a GPU does. you would have to code the game with cuda. without it, the card wouldn't even know a game was running. is that so hard to understand? why do so many people see this card and think "oh! AH! it could pwn crysis!" yeah, maybe if the devs used cuda, not in current form.

  • Comment removed

  • yes sorry, i missed half the vid, ok, makes sense now, but the concept is pretty neat and tidy, its a big card, but its off the mboard.. and games could be developed for it so its still pretty exciting stuff.

  • ok now you see, though you are right it can be used for games, and lemme tell ya, using even one of these baby's to handle AI, physics, and other raw-calculation centered tasks, we are talking a MASSIVE MASSIVE jump in realism in terms of objects on screen, detail and AI complexity to the point i can't even explain in the fews words im allowed to type. lets just say there would be absolutely no comparison what-so-ever to current games versus Tesla powered games. damn expensive though!

  • GNU/Linux dominates HPC, not Windows.

  • the performance gains that you would get with a tesla for games wouldnt justify the amount of money you would pay for the card. its a powerful card yes but it is not optimized for gaming, it is meant to be programed to run advanced calculations for imaging such as in the medical field like the video shows.

  • not optimized that much for gaming yet but I would expect a cheaper mini Tesla cards for gaming and professional editing in the near future to work in tandem with the main graphics processor.

  • @Micronerd1 you really really dont get any bonuses in games. you're 100% correct.

  • Yes you can actually, With a Shader-Emulator that uses the CPU power to render in place of the GPU making it so that the GPU only usually has to add AA and throw frames into the monitor without having to process it, OR windows 7 which is upcoming. blah blah blah...

  • you aren't even making sense. unless you are talking about windows 7's 'software GPU' which will act a DX10 stand-in for PCs lacking a dedicated DX 10 gpu using the CPU's own SSE3 & 4 multimedia functions (quite impressive actually)though i have a feeling you have no idea what I just said and your statement was gibberish

  • Extremely.

  • i want one

  • omg the GC will be a PC for it self :)
