I can honestly say from playing both Xbox Live and PC that the skill curve is much lower on Xbox. You kids are so bad, its not even funny. I find myself bored playing Xbox Live anymore. This does not change that Xbox itself is a good system, just that your player base is high on the "lacking skill" department.

The fine motor skill required to man dual-analog is undoubtedly harder to master for FPS. If you want to tote the glory of PC gaming, you should really be boasting the RTS route (and I suppose more recently, arena slayers like dota & LoL). In the end it usually comes down to a) preference & b) money. I've played both for a long, long time and I tend to prefer console for both those reasons. There are some games/experiences on PC that are just irreplaceable though, and ditto, for me, w/ console.
@Nickelskov Tactful avoidance of my thesis, I understand why PC gamers are so defensive, especially w/ the time and/or money dedicated to their system. Console offers a standard (besides a different feel) which doesn't require modification, and it's a nice buffer for the time and money people would otherwise have to put into their PC. For me, the rumble of a controller (jilt thru both hands) is almost irreplaceable for many games and the feeling of two analog just feels more natural
@TheFunnybone You ignored my first part where I said the PC can use any controller, console offers a lower standard, you say it doesn't require modification because you can't mod it. I can understand how people buy consoles for them being cheaper, but overall my PC is a lot cheaper than a console. (Steam account currently worth over 1100USD even though I've spent under $400, on consoles the price would be greater than 1500 for all the games)

Most Xbox players are casual, that's obvious. So they're not going to be amazing. The fine motor skill required to man dual-analog is undoubtedly harder to master for FPS. If you want to tote the glory of PC gaming, you should really be boasting the RTS route (and I suppose more recently, arena slayers like dota & LoL). In the end it usually comes down to a) preference & b) money. I've played both for a long, long time and I tend to prefer console for both those reasons. There are some games/experiences on PC that are just irreplaceable though, and ditto, for me, w/ console.

@Nickelskov Tactful avoidance of my thesis, I understand why PC gamers are so defensive, especially w/ the time and/or money dedicated to their system. Console offers a standard (besides a different feel) which doesn't require modification, and it's a nice buffer for the time and money people would otherwise have to put into their PC. For me, the rumble of a controller (jilt thru both hands) is almost irreplaceable for many games and the feeling of two analog just feels more natural

I can understand how people buy consoles for them being cheaper, but overall my PC is a lot cheaper than a console. (Steam account currently worth over 1100USD even though I've spent under $400, on consoles the price would be greater than 1500 for all the games)

The limiting factor of the controller doesn't make the user more skilled, especially not when you factor in autoaim/aim assist or whatever. The fact that developers have to put in mechanics to do the fine aiming for the player just so the game is playable speaks volumes. I was a halo 3 player and I play BF3 on PC so I ought to give my opinion :
1) aim with a pad is harder than with a mouse, but assist aim help well.
2) larger hitboxes make BF3 easier on console.
3) That's two different games, we cannot compare them.
4) T2 & Mrs Violence montage is great on my console gamer point of view!
