I have owned 2 pairs of X10s. The originals and the 10i's. They both sounded great and both had the same problem of not working after I got earwax on them. They are very difficult to keep clean because of the design. which has a very narrow hole that's about double the length of the cleaning tool head. Chord noise is a minor issue but still annoying. I prefer Atomic Floyd Superdarts or even B&W P5s, both of which are better made & sound better.
they are comfortable I don't like the packaging the cardboard "open here" rips the packaging apart which makes it impossible to return and less resale I guess, if the product is so great why do they try and make it as hard as possible to return. BAD! These aren't Triple drivers like the Shure SE535 and to be honest if you shove any earphone down your ear far enough like these they'll sound pretty good.
They're lite and they're comfortable though, build quality is so so, definitely not worth $350
when i first got these i was dissapionted compared to my S4's but then i let them play for a couple nights overnight and it took quite a bit of time to break in but they sound amazing now and am very happy with them the key in my experience with them was patience until they break in to their full potential and couldnt be happier
I've recently bought these and they sound amazing.
I also have the Sennheiser IE8s, have owned them for well over two years, loved them all of this time and I have to say I prefer the sound of the X10is.
IMO the bass is more defined and more detailed than the ie8s.
Overall sound of the X10i's is better than those, they have a more energetic presentation, better highs and mids.
I think the X10i make the music feel far more real than the IE8s.
@mjmets37 Klipsch's cheaper IEs are better for the price, Monster is completely overpriced!
So, if you want good sound for less money, buy the Klipsch S4 (about 70-80 dollars, I think. I don't know the exact price, because I live in Germany and here, it costs about 50-70€, I paid 75€ when they came out)
If you really want to pay about 300-400 dollars you should buy either the Westone UM3x, the Shure 535 or the Ultimate Ears 10! Maybe the Sennheiser IE8 because they offer great bass quantity.
@mjmets37 the klipsch, the monster turbine are so heavy that if you're moving at all they'll fall out of your ear (had a pair and hated them for that) Even if you try to pin them in your ears with a hat or something like that
I bought these and love them!! They work great with my iphone 4 and the sound is incredible. I have used Shure se425s and monster gold turbines and I think these are better sounding and more comfortable. Little tip about these, I spoke with Klipsch to confirm this and they said with a cheap y adapter you can use these on your pc for things that use a mic like Skype and PC Gaming!!
these headphones will NOT slip out of your ears at all, they are extremely light weight you barely need a seal to get them to stick in and sound amazing.
@Titleification If you've never tried high end headphones of any sort, you're really really missing out on all the details in your music. $350 might be a lot, but I would spend about $80 and get some image S4's from the same company. :)
i got the regular x10. great headphones! but come on for this price i'd have expected a nice, high quality tangle free cable (something like some v-modas have)
@fullireviews i would say that you should just go with the s4. I love the s4 with ipods, I think that the s4 is pretty much the best headphones you need for ipods (without an amp)
I was interested in these....until I saw this video. I thought that these would be like $150 but $350? WTF!? Maybe $350 for Bose or Sennheiser over-ear headphones but not in ear headphones come on!
I have the X10s and they're incredible. Only drawback is that whenever the cord even slightly comes into contact with anything else you hear it, and it's incredibly loud. It's given me multiple headaches before
If you're an audiophile, you won't be looking for detailed listening pleasure from a portable mp3 device, specially not from an iPod. But if people want to waste their money, it's none of my concern.

I don't want to wear a headset that looks like a male genitalia in my ears... I don't think I want to have an eargasm while wearing that.
