I think it's because she's trying to get back to the boss room by walking straight there, in a line. She can't tell that the walls are there and that it's keeping her from moving. xD

Uuuh....Best technique is to smash ,charge smash directly after you've hit it with smash,and stay a lil distance away so you can smash it when its charging a skill.

Just keep on repeating this.
