  • Well, they did sort of. The Hirise orbiter took two shots of the lander. One during the chute portion, and one after the solar array deployment. It's pretty small but you can make out the chute and solar arrays.

  • What footage of the landing? They don't have camera crews waiting at the landing site to shoot video, and the probe is busy landing and doesn't have a camcorder.

  • At 422,000,000 miles away and 10 months to travel.This is from Earth to Mars, correct?Your space craft traveled at an estimated 58,333.3333 MPH. Amazing. Hope no micro meteors hit the craft.

    Did the communications do well, cause my cell phone experiences dropped calls, dead zones, and power failer alot on old little Earth? Too bad the landing mission will only last 3 months. Did you see how that thing landed? Why didn't NASA show the public the footage of the landing they described?
