thnx for the comment olsmansceptic. the first time I saw this made me realize that this country took more away from the Native Americans than we can ever repay. Out of control, and no giving back...............so sad. At least they were trying to tell us something with the meaning of the word.
I hated this the first time I saw it in film class. "There are other things I could be doing than watching this shitty movie" I thought. God, i was naive.
It is good to see you children finally discover what is one of the greatest groundbreaking movies of the 1980's Being an art student in the 80's this movie has remained with me and now my 10 yr old son is appreciating it for the first time. The real accolades belong to the director Godfrey Reggio who with little or no budget started making the movie and so impressed George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola
Haha yea philip glass, particularly 1970's philip glass will do that. This isn't my favorite style of his - he's got some really cool music. Civil Wars, Low Symphony, lots of good piano music, I was pretty much obsessed with him at one time.
how do they divide the takings for the movie between the cast? :o

Everything in this film is moving at the correct speed - except the taxis which have been slowed down.

Notice the similarities between the snausages coming out of the machine and the people on the stairway.
