Women Can learn to play the pipes very well. It only takes dedication, and a strong breath. My cousin learned the pipes for Eastern Star, and she was great. Give it a try if you want, though you might look at the Caltic pipes, which are sustained by an left arm driven bellows. They start with a "V" but check out The Chieftens for a good example of it.

Well, Kintyre is an peninsula, and the Mull is it's southern cape (mull (scottish) = cape, foothills)

It's in the very west of Scotland, really close to Ireland; you can actually see it across the sea.
