Anyone who denies Silva's greatness is completely in denial. His VIctory over Sonnen was easily his most impressive fight. It's was the one thing people were skeptical he couldn't do and that's battle against adversity and win. Which he did in amazing fashion. People all of a sudden think he is worst after than win, but I have never known for a fighter to become worse in people eyes after winning a fight he/she shouldn't have. He had rib injuries and was fighting an incredible wrestler.

That cannot be proven. If you watch the beginning of the fight SIlva showed little to no upperbody move on his stand-up which is one of his trademarks. I take nothing away from Sonnen but the man was in TOTAL control of the ENTIRE fight and couldn't finish an injured SIlva. For 23 minuets he couldn't finish Silva. Silva Silva did what Sonnen couldn't in a matter of seconds. Finish the fight. In my opinion he will have to earn a rematch, instead of getting one handed to him right away.

Anyone who denies Silva's greatness is completely in denial. His VIctory over Sonnen was easily his most impressive fight. It's was the one thing people were skeptical he couldn't do and that's battle against adversity and win. Which he did in amazing fashion. People all of a sudden think he is worst after than win, but I have never known for a fighter to become worse in people eyes after winning a fight he/she shouldn't have. He had rib injuries and was fighting an incredible wrestler.

That cannot be proven. If you watch the beginning of the fight SIlva showed little to no upperbody move on his stand-up which is one of his trademarks. I take nothing away from Sonnen but the man was in TOTAL control of the ENTIRE fight and couldn't finish an injured SIlva. For 23 minuets he couldn't finish Silva. Silva Silva did what Sonnen couldn't in a matter of seconds. Finish the fight. In my opinion he will have to earn a rematch, instead of getting one handed to him right away.

@whyminervadied He didn't display his movement becuase Sonnen immediately came in and pressed the action, Silva wasn't allowed to do his trademark dancing.
When sonnen took the fight to the ground he injured silva's rib with one of his 285 world record setting strikes. Sonnen will have to fight one more before a rematch, but really its a waste of time. Middle weight besides sonnen and silva is the weakest division in the UFC.

I didn't mean body movement as in dancing I meant as is using angles with his strikes and using the shoulder roll. What I don't understand is how you land 280 plus strikes and don't finish a guy? You must admit that is just sad TBH, but I can admit the Middleweight division is one of the worst. Mostly because Anderson has cleaned it out in the UFC. Who is left to fight? Vitor hasn't even fought at MW in the UFC and shields went down to WW. The weightclass is basically empty.

@whyminervadied Hey good news did you hear? Sonnen is getting an immediate rematch. Also I will admit Silva has one hell of a chin, but his whole face was swollen up after the fight becuase of the punches.
No one really thinks that it was Silva's plan to get punched in the face for the whole fight then slap on the desperation triangle. If he could have done it earlier he would have, silva was trying the whole fight he just couldn't get it til 23 min. it took silva 23 min.

Its about styles and anderson can't deal with strong wrestler with submission defense. nope unlike gsp silva has never been knocked out, it is no secret that anderson has no tdd, but he is still undefeated, if gsp fought sonnen, sonnen would do the exact same thing to GSP. Sonnen p4p is the best wrestler in the sport, maybe since mark coleman. he takes down everybody. but i think gsp would probably submits sonnen.
all anderson does is beat the people they put in front of him, unlike fedor who has his team pick fights for him.

People need to understand GSP sucks he always has and always will,the only reason he has gotten as far as he has is because of lay and pray,fighting safe.

Jake Shields vs Anderson Silva would be a real old time grappler/striker war. Silva has the best Muay Thai in MMA, but several fighters with lesser grappling skills than Shields have taken him down. Shields on the ground is a nightmare.
It would be a competitive fight, and that is more than you can say about anyone else at MW right now.
