  • I have thick wavy hair but thin follicals how thick should I make my dreads I would have no idea

  • how do you keep your roots dreaded? do they naturally dread as they grow or do you have to do something to them?

  • I only have like 9 of them mixed in with the rest of my hair, so how should i do that?

  • Do you shower with your dreads in?

  • @mammothfrk yes ofcourse! just put them up in a bun :)

  • Your HOT dred locs look so...;)

  • I wish you lived closer to me, I'd love to have nice dreads like yours, they're small and cute and look really nice :D

  • Two questions.

    1. Does your hair grow when you have dreads?

    2. How do you take dreads out?

  • @Jewels1661 (1) yes, the hair grows when you have dreads and you have to work on the roots so they stay neat and maintained. (2) you take the dreads out by dumping conditioner on your hair and using a comb to start untangling from the bottom up. it took me longer to undo my dreads than it took to do them ... or it felt like it. but it can be done!

  • can you get dreas ot or do you have to cut them and startgrowing yurhair all over again

  • Can you get your dreads out?

  • @whisperofpain ohh this is very nice of you! Thank you! I have a video about dreadlock products I use, just go on my profile and find it its called something like 'products for dreads' or something like that....

  • hey i have a mo hawk but i want to get long dreds what do i do

  • @saintjimmytv grow it and dread it

  • @2SVJ7

I recomend that you start as evenly as possible. Make sure the hair is even before you start saving. Shave it all off if that's what it takes.

  • @DoktorOsiris start even what? Sorry I completely lost what you want to say dear!!

  • @2SVJ7

I would love to explain but I kinda lost my point here. Completely forgot what I was geting at.

  • hey just wanted to ask my dreads are almost 4 months old should i palm roll after i wash them or just let them be????i also lost alot of lenght wen i backcombed about 6 inc an everytime i wash they r getting shorter an shorter please need some advice should i use gel wen i palm roll or use nothing thanxs man!!!

  • im single

  • @youngmonney007 me to. wanna hang out?

  • Wow, don't see too many girls with their bangs dreaded. You pull it off perfectly.

  • Whats your opinion on wax?

  • @Goth47 I only used normal hair wax in a very beginning, never used dread was and never would. Dont thing its nessesary, but would help in a begining as it did for me. :)

  • @2SVJ7 Wait there is a difference? I didint know. Does it build up in the dread? And thank you for answering. :3

  • @Goth47 Yeah, there is dreadwax, and wax as normal haired people use, so i would only recoment to use that, as its not as strong. :) But yeah, it does build up, and just in general, everything builds up in dreads, which sounds wrank, but ... until you wash them regulary its all goooood :)

  • @2SVJ7 i think of buying some dread wax from dreadheadHQ but im afraid of build up and i have no idea if it will wash out my dreads.

  • @Goth47 honestly... i wouldnt do it . If you want something to form your dreads just get normal hair wax, or like hair styling cream from LUSH, that would be better. ;)

  • i need tips im just starting i sent video response

  • @TheTomkaulitzlover I dont know what they are , sorry!!

  • wow I love your dreadlocks, I just have three at the back of my head, but they're a little bit fatter than yours, they're almost two years older, and they're pretty tight and looking good, I wish I could have dreadlocks all over my head but I just can't because of my school ¬¬...Thanks for your tips about dreads...(sorry for my english, I'm chilean)

  • Soooo that's how you guys do yours....

  • how thick were your sections when you dreaded you're hair? i like the thickness of em.

  • why would u spend 8 hours a day working i=on them when they woukd dread just fine by doing no work at all on them? the work you did only made them requite more abd more work you do damage that requires repairing if u never did any of it they never would need all that work

  • @iriesoaringeagle No, I spend 8 hours a day making them, so if I didnt make them, I didnt had dreads.

Yes I did spent so much time fixing them and damaging them into the position I wanted them to be in - nice and neat. Now I dont spent this time, actually I dont spend time almost at all in a weeks time for them, because I did a good job making them neat at first.

Some people have their dreads naturally, some forcing them to lock-exactly how I did it. :)

  • @2SVJ7 what you dont get is you sty]=till fix them every weak or 2 that will make them very very weak in no time and they eventualy will break off all that force is damaging ..extremely and makes them not last long at all

ive seen ppl crochet their dreads to the point where the water pressure in a shower broke them.. thats how weak they can get from poking holes in them..if you want them to last u got to throw the hook away right away

  • @iriesoaringeagle I appreciate your comment and I know what you mean, as yours dreads are truly amazing, however I chose different way because I wanted different outcome. :)

  • @2SVJ7 the outcome will be they will eventuaky break off everytime u poke a hole in them you break hairs those hairs pop out in a week and u poke a hole to pull them in breaking more hairs the more you do it the weaker thety become doing it only 1 time it takes 6 months to recover before they even begin to dread right cause they are too tight too stiff they cant move and dread right eventualy they are so weakened by all the holes u poke in them they just break

  • @2SVJ7 if your going to do videos on how to do it at least warn people how bad it is and why they shouldnt do it warn them that yes it looks good but its temporary because eventualy they are destroyed and break off

  • @iriesoaringeagle Yes I know I will be doing videos about it and I will let people know my experiences. Thank you for your concern!

  • @2SVJ7 ah good cause that skillteacher dude pulls 1 of his gfs dreads right off with no effort at all then dares to say its cause he didnt crochet that area enough theres so many ppl putting out how t crochet dreads with dreads only weeks old but almost none telling about how harmful it is

  • @iriesoaringeagle I am not quite sure what you just said but I get the idea that you are against crocheting, and thats ok, and you want people to know that its damaging.. But if you have never crochet yours how do you really know..?

  • @2SVJ7 i have a website with over 5,000 dreadheads thousands suffered the damage of crochet every 1 of them regretted it many combed em out to start over right not 1 would ever do it again and yes several lost dreads because of it but your poking holes in them isnt it logical that its going to weaken them? we had 1 guy lose 4 dreads just diving into a pool the water impact broke them a dear freind crocheted hers right off every 1 of em broke believe me i know

  • @iriesoaringeagle Fair enough, I clearly see your point and I will make a separate video about this sir, explaining people damages people from your website went through and damages I went through also, cos yes sure I did had some to, but it just added character to my dreads in my opinion. But yeah, thank you for comments, really good reminder about the important point to make!:) X

  • @2SVJ7 good you see it that way cause crochrt usualy removes most of the natural charachter they would have if alowed to dread properly the loops and lumps thart become surface texture and give them individual personalities we have a crochet recovery group u might want to look into to help speed up the recovery

  • @iriesoaringeagle well... 'Natural Character' - I am aiming for unnatural looking dreads thank you.

'if alowed to dread properly' - who made the rules about what is Proper dreads and what is not? I do now agree here at all..

And thank you, I dont need to recover from anything, my dreads are just fine, but you are too kind for offering, thankyou.. :)

I got the feeling Sir, that you are trying to be a bit like Jesus in dreadlocks, and Im a bit of an atheist I would say in this case;D

  • @2SVJ7 dreading properly as in dreading as aposed to being woven as in soft and flowing as aposed to stiff and scratchy

  • @iriesoaringeagle Oh I see. I do have extensions also, so its different again for me as they feel completely different from my real dreads to.. :)

  • @2SVJ7 squueeze 1 is it soft and spongy or "squeeky" like broken hairs grinding on eachother rub 1 against your face is it soft almost cottony or rough like you didnt shave a few days or even like brillo now this try gently..give a lil tug on 1 does it feel solid or do u hear a slight ripping sound.. the average dread should take 1000 pounds to break or more severely crochertted dreads can be under 1 or 2 pounds

  • I love you're dreads

  • you have the best locks ive ever seen on a white person xo

  • Love your dreads!! :)

  • is it good to use two different methods of dreading in your hair? I want to backcomb and use the method u showed in this video. how would you suggest make my hair look thicker with thin hair without making my dreads really wide? Thanx!

  • @ladyPolyanthus Yeah it is good to use two methods. I cant remember if I mentioned in this or other video, that I did used a comb for some poeple and with my extentions I used comb as well sometimes. So you want your hair or dreds look thicker? :D You cant make your HAIR look thicker by dreading it, but you can make your dreads look a bit more 'full' if thats waht you asking:) Just wait until they mature i guess. My was like a fluffy braided mess in the begining, then I put lemon and justwait

  • awesome dreadlocks! i love your thin dreads, how big are your sections?

  • @lifeincoldblood1 thanks! In the back they are about 1-2 square centimetres. and in front some of them are about 0.5 cm, but Im putting some of the dreds in the front together as they are too small 'to live separate' and they brake so I just putting some together, and even then they are about 1cm2 :) XO

  • Also, can you bleach dreads? And if so is there a special bleach you have to use or does the regular bleach a girl might already be using on her hair work just fine?

  • @Newyearsbaby4208 yeah regular bleach is fine!:)

  • LOVE the dreads...

My question is were you very picky about sectioning the dreads? I want to do mine myself and I know you said you did yours on your own so I wanted to see if you made little square sections for each dread or if you just felt with your fingers till you were satisfied with what you were feeling? It seems like putting squares in the back of your head could become difficult?

Thanks so much for your time :)

  • @Newyearsbaby4208 Yes I did it myself and I had 2 mirrors, one in front of me and one behind so i can sorta see what I am doing and sectioned them in squares. It isn't THat hard, just be patient;) xox

  • your so beautiful♥ your vid actually explains alot lol

  • @cristinapeaceout28 Thank you so much! I still look back and cringe how im explaining stuff. Its not very good and people STILL asks the same questions though:D I dont mind:)

  • @2SVJ7 hahaha im not very good at listening due to being ADD so this is a must show:D and since my hair is weird i usually only have one dread at a time:D and its usually bleached some outreageous color:DD

  • My biggest question concerning dreadlocks is: is it "hard" to swim with dreadlocks? like in salt water/chlorine water, does that destroy the dreadlocks?

  • @Crashayness I have never swimed in sea or in swimming pool with my dreads down, so I dont know , but depends on the length of dreads i guess, my when i wash them its not hard, so I suppose it wont be hard to swim:)

  • YOU ARE SO INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL!

  • LOVE UR HAIR!!!! Ur dreads r so cute! Haha, I want 2 get mie done, but I've only seen that dreads look better on people with light colored hair, I have mine black with aqua color... I am thinking a lot on getting them...

  • @mikehe04 get them:)) It looks good whatever colour hair you have!;) do ittt!;)

  • @2SVJ7 EEEEP! now I'm tempted haha my hair is like 3 inches long, how long would they b with the dreads?

  • @mikehe04 I would say they shrink about 50%, sometimes if you lucky about 30%.. so yeah be prepared ;D

  • @2SVJ7 OMG! ok, then I will let it grow, dye it more aqua, and then do the Dreads :) tnks 4 answering my questions :)

  • @mikehe04 aqua you mean like blue..? :O

  • @2SVJ7 yes :) it's like a neon turquoise greenish blue :) now it's fading, so it's almost blonde, I did a video today, with my kitty, and it shows how my hair looks now :)

  • @mikehe04 oh cool!:)) I love that colour!!

  • @2SVJ7 ME TOO!!! WOOOOP WOOOOP!!! haha, it's my favorite colour :) oh! I saw ur video where u had the hot pink with the purple, the color transition looks AMAZING!!!!!!! loved it! I'm going 2 try 2 do that with aqua and deep blue :)

  • @mikehe04 WOOP WOOP!!;D Oh aqua and deep blue should look amazing! :O Awesome!!;)) Xox

  • @2SVJ7 haha, tnk u :) I'm expecting that it does :D

  • @2SVJ7 EEEP! now I'm tempted, haha, my hair is about 3 inches long, how long would it b with dreads?

  • i have had my locks for over three years... never done anything to them as a result i have some that are really thin at the root. what can i do to make them thicker at the root? and is it possible to combine two mature locks into one. :)

  • @ROEMDK yeah it is possible to combine locks, just crochet hood them together, or even sow them with needle and some hair. Just put hair in the needle ratther than thread;) And I would sugest putting rubber bands around your dread which is thin. Like get all the loose hairs around dread and out rubber band in it, and it should 'grow in' or you can try crochet hood the roots a little bit to. :)

  • you have the best dreads i've ever seen ...

  • I like your dreads. Think of some crazy dreadlock styles and do a video about them, please?! :)

  • @NishiBunny oh Im so bad at this!:D I only wear them like this or in pony tail xD Ok I will try when I start making more videos;D Thank you!:)

  • Your dreads are unbelievably nice. I'm RLY impressed.
