  • @tambriz1972 John's flutes are not known to have a warble. this one was just a fluke. It does happen from time to time even in my flutes but yes there are several aspects that can cause a flute to have a warble only on the root note (all holes closed) it has everything to do with the angle of the spliting edge and how much he had to take from inside the tone holes to tune it. Does not mean that it s a bad flute,quite the opposite actually.. ~D
