On "I Couldn't Hear Nobody Pray", there's a portion where each singer sings their part individually during the chorus and someone is taking 1st soprano while Lucy takes 2nd. The 1st soprano sounds like Delois to me, though I'll have to take another listen.
I'm sorry Joseph. You're right that I'm thinking about the wrong album---"Only God" is from "Since I Met Him", not "Try Jesus", but the soprano is not Delois Barrett. I heard that the woman was probably a member of James Cleveland's choir. When I first heard my copy, I raved about the luscious sound of "Delois Barrett" on the title track, only to be told that she wasn't on the album. I thought the unidentified soprano's head voice was magnificent.

Joseph, I think Sarah McKissick is the soprano on this record. Delois Barrett-Campbell didn't participate in the recording of the "Try Jesus" LP.
