I think chronologically the games order (3, 1, 2)loto, (6, 4, 5)Zenith. I have no idea where 7, 8, and 9 come in though. Or swords who knows where that fits

I got the impression this game is a prequel to DQ4...with the scholars starting to debate the secrets of Evolution and all...

This game is a sequel to IV, VI is a prequel to VI. So many in-game text clues I can't remember them all.

In IV the Secret of Evolution was stumbled upon after being lost and fought over and many people talked about it. In V, there's a HINT thrown out about it, but it's a lost art. In VI there is no Sky Castle yet - there was an entire world which Zenithia was part of. Clearly, only Zenithia remains from that world.

Yes, these games are seperated by long periods of time, not generations.

They are, but they don't have such a connection that DQ1-3 do. For example, 1 is where you are a decendant of Loto(Edrick), and 2 is where the hero from 1 and the princess make kingdoms all over the world and the heroes are from them, and in 3 you ARE Loto, and it tells the story of how you end up in the world in 1+2 in the first place. In 4-6 they occur years after each other and there isnt a really big connection, at least no where near as big of one as there is in DQ1-3.

You know, I found somewhere online that in DQ6, a dragon egg hatches, while two people talk about the "future is here" , and the dragon could be the dragon king of zenithian castle, which could mean that 6 happens before 4 and 5, like 3 happened before 1 and 2, but it doesen't mean it's true....:D

yeah i think they're part of the Zenithian Saga for dragon quest. The first 3 games followed the Erdrick Saga
